It was night, who knew what time it was because all he knew, all he ever knew was the dark. Well this was less then accurate. Darius knew a great deal of his surroundings and he could sense disturbances from afar. And this house was very, disturbing. Darius was a strangely imposing figure at night, he was pale but not so much as to be a ghost of any kind. His clothing was pretty average but something about his appearance that was entrancing over all.

Darius stopped at the front door of the place that had obviously seen better days, not really caring about the exterior though he had come for other, more important of a task. He then knocked on the door, three times. His blue eyes seemed to see through the door, through the entire house.

He waited for an answer to his summons.

On this night she had no idea of where her husband was, but due to this she was alone. Marie was out with the young Jone's boy and she was left to tend to herself in a far too empty house. Staring towards the door, Rachel Ashlocke, mother and wife would be the one to answer the night's call. With a twist of the nob she opened it to gaze at the man before her.

"Is there something I can be doing for you sir?" In this day the woman had many reasons to be quite cautious.

The door opened, and he saw a woman, he looked her up and down but did not move his eyes, or make any kind of sign he did so. But he was not one to be lost for words in front of any person.

"Doing for me, nothing at all." He said as a smile then came up upon his face. "Rather it is what I can be doing for you. The word around town is that you have been, suffering as of late. I represent the whole of the Crimson Rose Order." His voice was smooth and calming, but it wasn't like a salesman pitch or somebody who was making promises. It actually sounded sincere.

"My name is Darius, and its a pleasure to finally meet you face to face." With that same calming voice, the man stood at the threshold not breaking eye contact with those blue eyes of his, not even a waiver.

Rachel was taken back by his words. A swallow fell from her lips and she stepped back from her door to contemplate his words. How could he have known of her family's sorrow, issues, or even troubles for that matter. Eyes continued to study him as she debated," Would you like to come in for some tea?"

For now she'd indulge the man, but only for now. Whatever he was on about, she needed to know more. She had to know just how someone she had never seen before knew just what was happening to her family.

The door opened slowly and she stepped aside. Allowing him admittance if he so chose to.

"Tea, delightful." He smiled not at the suggestion, but more along the lines of the invitation. Once invited he could come and go as he pleased but some information just needed to be kept to himself, thinking it and knowing it were two different things, so he didn't even think it as he stepped inside. He was silent, unnaturally so.

"Rachel, my sources tell me some disturbing things of the present time, not to mention that debt accumulated by this....house...has put you on the so called authority's list to reclaim what they think is theirs. Disturbing I know but they have very effective methods." He paused a moment. "I am here on the behalf of my organization to try and prevent this. The order is dedicated to preventing sorrows of all kinds." He then reached into his jacket and pulled out an envelope and handed it to her. and waited for her to take it.

"Well, it is customary to have conversations over tea, is it not. We can continue this with drinks in hand."

Despite his warning and news he brought, he seemed to be comforting and calm, was it training or something else. This Darius seemed to be a man of many talents indeed.

Once the envelope was in hand she took a moment to think. The whole nature of what he was telling her disturbed her. Someone wanted to retake their house? But she thought Gabriel had made the Estate secure. This was troubling, she didn't remember receiving any notices unless Gabriel had kept this from her.

Eyes moved to the pale figure and curiously considered him once more. Shifting for a moment she started to lead the way to the kitchen as she nodded," Perhaps you should keep from telling more until I have managed to sit and draw us cups of tea to drink..."

She was not overly comfortable with the man, this was true, but if he had information about her home that she did not know she would find out. Her fingers held that envelope securely, refraining from reading it for now while she entered the kitchen. Moving to busy herself with the tea promised.

He just nodded to her words as she said them. Yes, there was information he had, and yes there was much he had to tell. Tea would be perfect. "I sense a bit of anxiousness in the air, it could be the house itself, or something more immediate and closer." He said this as he looked around the place, as if appraising the value of the place.

Being somewhat of an expert at body language, he figured everything was going exactly as planned. Who wouldn't be somewhat nervous at a stranger with bad news in the night, unexpected no less. "Tea would be perfect."

"We have much to talk about, or very little depending on how the conversation goes." He said turning his head towards her. Nothing in his voice screamed danger, but perhaps that in itself was worrysome.

Rachel was anxious, that was possibly what he was feeling. Her eyes focused on him once more as she started with two mugs. Once they were filled with water she would set a few tea bags before him to select from before placing a bag in her own. It was then that the water would change its color and turn to a deepest of blood reds.

Turning back to him she spoke up lightly," Can't they not take your home unless you have received notice for such a thing? Her nerves were already being stretched, but this was far more troubling than she had cared for it to be.

It was best to begin speaking about it, she was not sure when Gabriel was going to be home, but she was sure he would not like this Gentleman's presence.

"Their notices come in the form of men in black who knock on your door in the middle of the night. They inform you that you are in violation of the Codex Financial Agreement then they proceed to "Reclaim" things. These people have been at work in Rhydin for the past few months and preying on the defenseless, but they are working their way up the ladder." He eyed the red tea then continued.

"I come here as a warning that in order for this to be prevented me, and you and others need to work together to form an organization. I am simply here to invite you to the meeting. You need not bring Gabe, my people have reasons to believe that he is working for this nefarious organization." He sighed them. "Before you deny and defend him allow us to show you the information we have gathered back at the temple, I know there are cameras here but this device here allows a jamming signal to keep this room we are in invisible, and silent." He pulled a small box out of his pocket. Darius was obviously well informed and prepared for his visit, then put it back.

"What you do from here is up to you. But chances are this Organization is looking for another stronghold in Rhydin, and this would be perfect for it. Mr. Ashlocke has been seen in many raids, and we also believe he is building "Work camps" for the people who are taken away..children and adults alike, we haven't found these camps yet though. The secret is kept for now, but the people are not heard from again is a true fact."

His voice was deadly serious, but there was no sign of trying to incite fear or terror, but just trying to be informative of the situation at hand that was developing right under her nose.

"I know time is short, and staying here for along time may not be advisable for me because of the situation and attention it might bring up. Read the invitation and I will know if you accepted it you show up at the temple or not, easy as that."

Then Darius looked towards the door and contemplated leaving soon."I know you have questions. All will be answered at the temple, and remember. I was never here." Then he looked back at her and smiled. "I will hope to see you soon?"

"Hmmm, well I suppose your silence is word enough. I will assume I won't be seeing you anytime soon. I have some work to do and the hour grows late. I must be off."

And with that and one quick motion, he was was through the door and gone. As if he never was there to begin with. Maybe he never was.
