Jade had fallen into an early fitful sleep. Fear, it came off her in waves. She held Gabe close, taking in his steady heartbeat through her ears as she had her head on his chest. The soft beating was the only thing keeping her from shivering in fright. What had happened to her? Renna.
She never feared her before now. But before now, Renna hadn't threatened her.

Then as she skimmed on the bourder of a numb daze, blinding light shook her out. Jade could see now, the threat around her, the threat inside her. They were all around her, the threats. But when she looked about, it was her friends, her family - past and present - that surrounded her. Jade gave a raspy gasp. But there was someone on top of her, still clawing at her insides. She let out a whimper as she looked to her friends and family. Her eyes pleading. Their gaze turned sinister as they looked to her, their unnerving grins showed fangs - and hunger. She slowly turned up to the person on top of her. Renna.
No... the face morphed... into her own. Her mirror image. Then it changed again, only ever so slightly. It was her mother, Cordella.
Her eyes popped open. Jade was a awoken, but not with a jolt. She sat laid there breathing slowly, taking in her dream, before she realized she had scratched harshly at Gabe's sides in her sleep leaving slight marks. She laid awake the rest of the morning, playing asleep as Gabe got up. Jade would not tell him of her dream, he needed not to know, to worry. She could only think of what she was really afriad of.
