Introduction to the Universe

The Avix Empire; A cosmic wide Empire that preexisted the Quantum Ripple. The Avixian people or the K'rynian species as they are known as now, had the acute ability to control matter through channeling their cybernetic minds and biorobotical bodies through Sol'De'Kii and Soa'Kynii data streams. A unique energy reading that was instilled into every piece of matter in existence, with a complete recording of it's composition and determined existence. In a sense these data streams gave them the power to create matter at will.

The down falls were of equal consequence. As the Sol'De'Kii was known as the Spirit of the Universe, which instilled creation, temperance, understanding, and peaceful like tendencies. While the Soa'Kynii was a complete opposite, meaning Nature of the Universe; which tapped into more maleficent, sinister, and usually destructive and war like behaviors.

They had become known as engineers and architects of the cosmos, creating galaxies, and stars, and planets where ever they went. Like their own personal gardens, each large family tended to them and watched their creations mature into Class M planets where soon the natural effects of evolution occurred. Spawning brilliantly beautiful creatures of every combination. Like a clock maker, once time started to tick, the Avixian's would move into another place and work on another.

They all answered to Emperor Ada and Empress Aya who had been their leaders for longer than most can remember. Before them, Parents, grand parents, K'rynian of old that ruled long before them when they were simply small cosmic tribes still learning the extent of their abilities. One small tribe who swore away their powers kept themselves in solitude, and over the generations have forgotten how to use their powers altogether. So they turn towards art, music, and the art of war, they are known as the Orcynai. There were other tribes that have come and gone, and some just linger like the lone member of the K'rynai.

They could create offspring just like any other organic mammal, but could never create an artificial copy of themselves. The process was far too unstable and usually led to disastrous distortion in space, such as black holes and rifts through time. After so many attempts this idea was abandoned by all except for one group led by Ada and Aya. Which led to a nasty experiment gone wrong, the creation of the Ma'Kynai.

It wasn't until the Nano incident that sparked the collapse of Avix. Their destruction set in motion a series of well placed and timed events that went mysteriously unnoticed long enough to be lost in the sands of time...

...until now.

The UCS Mahayana floated outside of an asteroid belt to find the origins of a distress signal they picked up while on their way to Platform Dango Hunta III. All that was discovered was a ghost ship with the call signs, ZVF Ghogho Needle, written on the side. "Lt. Ien, do your instruments pick up any power or life support systems over there?" Captain Seed asked. She sat in her Command chair on the bridge; slouched in her side, leaning onto one of the armchairs and resting her foot up on the other. Her eyes looking out at the ship. She was becoming bored, but followed her Laws and Orders to the letter. Sometimes to a fault.

"Captain, The ship is currently on reserve power and will be depleted within the next four hours."

"Are you picking up any life signs?" She asked.

"I can't tell from here, Sir. There seems to be too much Plasmic radiation, indicating the ships Plasma Core Inhibitors are damaged and leaking into the ships atmosphere." He looked over his shoulder to her, "May I suggest sending out a small compliment?" he awaited her orders.

"Do so, the quicker we finish up here the sooner we're on shore leave." She wasn't as cynical as she put out to be.

The Whispers were in the Terra Sector of the ship, which much of the crew began to call the lions den. Not even the crew that were assigned to stations located there would report there. For fear of upsetting the quiet and deadly Whispers that roamed there. Sentinel was pruning his banzai's in peace and quiet. The soft sound of light jazz came from his tablet when it was soon interrupted by the comm system on the wall, which looked like hat been from the wall and brutally beaten by a blunt object.

He shot a sideways glance to the speaker hanging from the wall by some wires as the voice repeated itself, "Ssssssentinel, theeee *static* reqqquestsss that yoooou and Serrrrrgeant *static* reportttt to the *static* _____" The speaker sparked and cut off. Smoke slowly raised, and a robotic arm came down from the ceiling and aim it's nub at the speaker. Hosing it down with white misty powder.

He shrugged, looking back down to his banzai and continued pruning a second longer till the speaker sparked again, and sprayed again. Deciding to place his pruning tools down on a green clay tray and pocketing his tablet. Walking towards the stairs to the double sliding doors that had paint over the windows from another Whisper.

"HEY, SENTINEL!" A voice called out.

He turned around and looked far off passed a few field cubes and saw one of the other Whispers. A female, who looked half oriental, half cyborg but with an amazing artificial skin paint job on her augmentation. Chapin Wolfe; "Bring me back a souvenir!" She then looked like she leaped from the ground upwards, but disappeared before her feet left the ground.

He walked up the stairs, glancing over the coy fish yin yang painting over the glass doors. It always reminded them of home; the Temple of Nari. The Lions Den was the only thing they had that was comparable to that place.

The locker room was a dark navy blue, top-to-bottom, with a white strip half way up the wall wrapping all the way around the room, including the lockers. At the top and bottom of the wall were gutters with a bright ion light line tucked in it, wrapping around all the walls. Making the locker room a well lit girth with virtually no shadows.

Sergeant Johnny Jenkins was a K'rynian who was just reaching the middle-age phase of his life cycle. He had what most K'rynian never had the chance to enjoy; Family, Children, Security, and a foundation that provided opportunities for their future and safety. He was sitting on the blue bench in the middle of the walkway between two pillars of personal lockers. Holding a picture of his Wife and two kids in his hands, smiling while looking it over. He looked like a man who's been away from his family for a long time.

But the truth was his family were crew on the ship. His Orcynai wife was the Chief Medical Officer Shiliji Pinakka-Jenkins. His son, Jha'kyp was young. Still going through the on board fleet academy. Lastly, but not least. His daughter Khamiyuiji was a beautiful young women now and had followed in her mothers footsteps, working in the same department as her mother.

He stood up putting the picture into the door of his locker and suiting up into his Tengu Cell. The head mask shingled up over his head and over his face, coming into a evo peak. The film for his eyes and the lines that outlined the muscled of his body glowed with a green neon that slowly dimmed and pulsed. Taking a shotgun off the weapons rack inside his locker and watching it disappear from reality as the matter was archived into the slip-space storage chips in his suit.

The HUD of his mask highlighted and identified everything with an in-depth detailed map of his immediate proximity with highlighted markers and a legend title. Readouts of atmosphere and wind gauges along with the rest of the boring measures were off to the side with a short cut tap. He noticed the time read-out on his helmet. Pacing away from his locker, "Where the hell is he?"

"Damn it, if I get in trouble because he's late I'll___" He spun around to walk back to his locker and bumped into Sentinel standing there looking down at him from behind that reflective black emotimask of his. The neon yellow happy face flickered on as he gave an upward nod.

"I hope you have gps in there Eagle." Sentinel said as he tapped at the Sergeants mask, making a glass tapping sound. His voice was rippled with that trademark derezzed digital sound. Sergeant Jenkins looked to the Whisper a bit confused, his legs trembling for a moment as he forces himself to swallow, dry mouth. "H-HHuh?" Jenkins replied.

"You don't know?" He turned around looking towards the Sergeants locker and started walking over to the bench, propping one foot up on it as he thought out loud, "He doesn't know? It's only location number 42,000,000,000,000.... The Ghost Ship of ZVF Ghogho Needle Asteroid Belt." He then looked over to Jenkins who was still standing there frozen in place, "H-HHuh?" was all could really say, he was sort of in shock.

Sentinel walked up to him quickly with a certain determination in his step, "Geo-caching!" He was so close to him he whispered it. Johnny Jenkins suddenly felt the warmth leaving his legs and his stomach turned. As he suddenly felt like he was back in terminal velocity training. Only it was Sentinel. He fell to the ground like a rag doll. Sentinel looked down and could hear soft snoring, the front of his mask could be seen getting darker and lighter from the fog of his breath. "...and that's Jinga."

"Have you hacked the hatch terminal yet?" The Captain said over the Deployment team comm channels. She was sitting her chair still in the same pose, but she switched sides. A bottle water was sitting on the floor next to her comfortable captains command chair. After a long time of hearing no response she sat up and looked at the glass deck out in front of her, seeing the ship out beyond the large glass wall. In the foreground was Tori, sitting in a hammock swinging back and forth while she read a book.

Tori, her real name T0R-1. A broken computer program written by the Avix Empire long before the collapse and was discovered by Dust Belarus at Avix Excavation Site Dango Pony. After repairing as much as they could she had been in a delicate state but the Emperor gave the order to fuse her to the ships computer and has now come to life. Because her program script is riddled with codes and is broken. She rerouted herself in other ways which by accident allowed her to become self aware.

"Lt. Ien, is the radiation from the ship interrupting their comm signal."

"No, Sir. Everything is in working order."

"Excuse me Sentinel, when you find it convenient in your schedule can you report back in to us?" She was being sweet, yet sarcastic to him.

"I'm.... We're already inside." He whispered, "Jenkins, wake up."

"I can still hear you. What happened to the Sergeant?" Caliber suddenly became worried and wanted an answer.

Sentinel had his datapad sync up to his comm channel and had a song track called Losing you play overlapped onto the conversation. "I'm sorry *static* I can't*static* too much radia*static* This place has *static* less attention *static* your mot___" The comm channel was closed. Sentinel chuckled as he shook Jenkins a bit, waking him up. "Eh sleepy head. Feeling any better?"

"Geo-caching?" Jenkins ask.

"Oh never mind, I already checked." He admitted.

"and?" Jenkins had to ask.

"Looted." Changing subject, "Look around."

Jenkins nodded and began tossing piles of junk off a structure in the middle of the room. "This place was torn. The reactor is gone." Sentinel walked over and looked, "Like whoever was here ripped every valuable component out the ship." He looked over his shoulder and could see the read up of everything he ever would need to know on the surface of his eyes. It was hardwired into him with complex, crowded, and layered HUD displays and readouts that only a mind like his could filter thought it all and make sense of it. "There's life signs behind that door."

They both walked over towards the wall, and removed scraps of metal and pieces of terminal structures away to make a path. It was like walking through a five year old's bedroom. Sentinel grabbed at the center of the double sliding doors and motioned to Jenkins to grab the other side. They began pulling hard until the bolt snapped and released the grip of the hydraulics mechanisms hidden away inside the wall. The door slid open with a screeching yelp.

Jenkins rushed inside first with his hand out like some secret agent kung fu master. Believe it or not he actually knew what he was doing being a 4,000 year master of the Ven Fac Tong. A very deadly martial art developed by the old Sygon Director of Redstars Special Forces. A true honor for him to have been taught by Sygon himself. But, his enthusiasm fell short when he gazed down upon two people suffering from the Plasmic Core leak from the damaged inhibitors. Unconscious with tools in their hands like they were trying to fix the problem. "Captain, we discovered two survivors, life vitals are minimal."

"Jenkins where were you?" She wanted to know.

"Sir?" He had no idea what she was talking about.

"Never mind Sergeant. Get the survivors back to the Mahaaya__" She sneezed. Then tried to finished but Jenkins interrupted her.

"Understood Sir. Jenkins out." Then cut the signal.

Chief Medical Officer Shiliji Pinakka-Jenkins was in her administration offices located next to where the two survivors were resting and being worked on. The Biomech wing provided everything the diverse species of the ship needed to be in tip top medical shape. Robotic, cybernetic, organic, Kravkoric, biochem, and atomic. The department handled it all no matter what sort of statistical odds were stacked against them.

Captain Seed walked off from a lift accompanied by Commander Halbird, entering the administration offices to check up on Doctor Pinakka and her two very lucky patients. "Hows are they?"

The doctor was thumbing through her medical tablet looking over her newest tests she gathered from the two patients. She glanced up to the Captain before looking back down to her tablet to read over the findings. "The radiation exposure was minimal thanks to their evo suits. But they also suffered from several gunshot wounds each."

"Several?" Caliber repeated.

"It will take a while to bring them around. But, yes they will recover." She walked over to her desk and began sliding her fingers and tapping at a much larger glass screen that made up the surface of her desk, "We found a sample of blood." Her fingers slid away from each other to enlarge the DNA sample. "It's a rare iron gold deposit. Leading to one humanoid species, the Gormick."

Caliber slowly looked up from the screen to Doctor Pinakka, repeating her slowly with interest and curiousiy, "Gormick? Then that would suggest the Colonists."

Commander Halbird nodded, "Likely, their travelers who can never find a planet to settle on. Some have been known to raid one another out of survival. A matter who is more supreme."

Caliber pushed an index to her bottom lip for a moment in thought. "But they never come out this far before. Unless they were chased out by someone, or something." She looked to the Doctor and nodded as she walked out from the biomech wing and into a lift with the Commander not too far behind her. She got onto her Anni* and contacted the bridge, "Helmsmen, set course for the Ardenour System."

"Aye, Sir."

Log Entry 121722.6 - In an effort to put an end to the Gormick Raids. We have come to the Ardenour System To Enlist the air of Ra'Jitora, the delegate who had been assigned to Imperial Senate.

After picking up the delegate from the Ardenour System, the ship was parked in high orbit. The Captain, Commander, and Doctor sat at an oval shaped table inside the blue room, a conference room located just outside the bridge of the ship, three of it's four walls were large fish aquariums filled with large colorful and exotic fish collected from different reaches of the universe. Ra'Jitora sat next to the Captain. Ra'Jitora was a Gormick. Tall, beautiful, and elegant in every way. Ra'Jitora and Commander Halbird had spend what seemed like an entire lifetime together training at the academy's. Different classes, but shared breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. They were both being assigned to the Diplomatic ship UCS Maratora.

Unfortunately, Commander Halbird was put through a special selection process known as 3H. And was selected and reassigned last minute with an Imperial Clearance. He had no choice but to cut off all connections and family ties during his tour. He never had the chance to tell Ra'Jitora Goodbye or why he didn't show up. She now stared at him from across the table and thoughts were broken as Captain Seed continued to speak, "These raids have made this sector unsafe. They've ransacked our research facilities, out trade routes disrupted."

Ra'Jitora looked to Captain Seed, "The Colonists can be elusive. The Empire is only called home by literally a handful of them." She leaned forward to the table with folded hands, "But, with the help of UCS Fleet___"

"Hunting them down is not what I am proposing." She said while leaning back in her chair, one leg crossed over the other while sipping her tea. "Reconciliation with the Colonists is impossible." She sounded so sure of herself. Backing herself up with statistics, "It's been tried. Every time we've offered amnesty. They're rejected it."

Doctor Pinakka looked to the delegate and had to ask, "When was the last negotiations?"

"We've offered it every 10 years." She answered.

Captain Seed lowered her tea from her lips raising a brow, "10 times?"

Ra'Jitora sighed, "For almost a century, yes. They've been parasites moving from star system to star system. Living on what they could find." She was getting upset, "or steal."

"They are still your people. No?" As a K'yrnian, she was looking for everyone's best interests.

Ra'Jitora sighed. She wasn't getting through to her. "Captain, you have to understand our history. A hundred years ago... Before the colonists were forced off Yuulis. We were a savage, violent race. Clans battled clans. Bloody, vengeful feuds that lasted for generations. But we've overcame those ways. All accept for the Colonists."

Doctor Pinakka leaned in her chair, "After a century of wandering, they may be willing to accept our the Empires help."

Ra'Jitora looked from the Chief Medical Officer to the Captain as she too commented, "Despite your progress. You are a divided society, and so it shall remain. Until the Colonists take our treaties seriously."

"The attempt might be futile for some." Ra'Jitora said leaning back in her chair, hoping to get a response from the Captain.

Caliber smirked before sipping her tea, then looked to the delegate, "There is so much to gain... and there is so little to lose by the effort." She sounded a little bit authoritative and correct by now, "This problem affects us all. It cannot be ignored."

Delegate Ra'Jitora looked from the Captain to Commander Halbird.

The large double sliding doors to the lift where onyx with golden leaf engravings at the corners. It suddenly began to show a bright light behind the slit shingled windows that bordered the elevator doors. BING! They slid open and out walked Captain Seed in lead with Commander Halbird and the delegate. Captain Seed led a hand out to the large chamber that made up the bridge.

The UCS Mahayana was the largest, Super-heavy dreadnought in the UCS. Which has also been known to overshadow most foreign ships. The Bridge of this ship reflected this in a smooth elegant design with ship stations lining the walls. The floor was a thick glass whose flat surface gave the illusion of water rippling from every footstep. A cluster of hexagon shaped glowing sensors in the floor lit up in a azure blue as they walked across the deck. "Delegate Ra'Jitora, welcome to the bridge."The Captains command chair was positioned in the middle of the floor with all sorts of holographic screens orbiting around it.

"Thank you, Captain."

"How soon will you be ready to leave the system?"

"I'm ready now Captain, I need only bring aboard my assistants." She requested.

Commander Halbird nodded to the Captain before she could give the order, "I'll see to that and to your accommodations." Then walked over to the life, the doors opening and him walking in. "Crew Sector 9." He said aloud. The doors closed and the light went down.

The delegate looked to the Captain and began to state her idea, "I have reason to believe there is a Colonists encampment somewhere in the Pharsijorpio System." She smiled not knowing the captain had a way with big words. Caliber grinned and smiled, walking to her chair and slumping down. Tapping her fingers at a data pad, "Tori?" The holographic representation of a women dressed in UCS Fleet Uniform was standing up near the glass wall looking out to the stars. Her hands laced behind her back, "Captain, the Pharsijorpio System has been charted but not explored several class M planets in that area. Hm... Any one of these planets might serve well as a base for the Colonists."

Captain Seed was already getting comfortable in the two and half foot wide seating. A bottled water was in her cup holder. A few more empty bottles carefully lined up one the floor next to her. "Tori, make course for the___"

"Pharsijorpio System, Aye Captain." Tori winked from over her shoulder then looked back out to space as the ship began to steadily break free from orbit and cruise out into open space. The Xenonium Reactor of the ship begin to charge and the energy having viral like behavior in splitting itself into trinities over and over again, self replicating energy source that fed on the residue it left behind, then hibernating in stasis. The Xenonium powered the Madyna Trasnlight Engine up to 2.6% power. Instantly once the course was charted they activated the slip-space drive, a wink later they were gone.

---

Commander Halbird led the delegate to her quarters with her assistant pulling a wheeled case in behind her. Probably clothes and such. Ra'Jitora looked out the window into space seeing the stars bend, stretch, and stream past the ship for a moment before being pushed into FTL speeds. She held a hand over her mouth, gasping and starring onward in astonishment. "A fine ship Commander."

"We're all very proud of her." The Commander modestly replied. "Ra'Jitora, may I offer you a drink?"

"Yes, warm tea please."

"Coming right up." Halbird walked up to the panel on the wall, "Tori, warm tea please." Tori picked up on how many people were in the room and provided the cups with a pot of tea, from the wall panel. S'uro, the delegates assistant and apprentice quickly walked over to the Commander, "Please." She grabbed the teapot and poured three glasses. Smelling one cup very closely then taking a sip.

"Your also the food taster?" The commander was intrigued.

"That's also part of my duties." She said taking the cup to the delegate. Bowing before giving her the cup. "Thank you," Ra'Jitora replied while walking over to Halbird. "There are many dished that your ship provides that I would like to sample since this might take a while. But, there are a few Gormick dishes I request." She looked to him feeling less tense and more comfortable around him.

"I will get our Culinary staff on it right away, But of course I'll have to sample those too." He said with his charming smile. Looking to the beautiful Gormick women that stood in front of him. She looked like she hadn't aged a day since he last saw her. It was good to have her around again, no matter how brief it may be. He nod his head to the delicate and turned to leave the room, "It's good to see you again Ra'Jitora." The door sliding closed behind him.
