Todays big adventure was me stepping out to the Market Place!
I was kind of iffy about going though, you know with all the attacks and stuff that happen..

I'm writing this as I sit in bed. Raye is sleeping beside me. We have a pretty active day planned.

I received a letter from the Baroness Gwen Minx..
it looks like I was chosen to become her squire. I get a nice title and weapon to go along with it.
So not only do I have Candy showing me the ropes, but now I have Miss Minx as well.
I'm really glad.. I just have a feeling those two are going to show me a lot of things.
Maybe one day I'll be as good enough as them, that might be too much to ask for..
But, hey.. getting my name written in the duel histories? That would be boss.

I need to figure out what times I'm supposed to be doing all this training though.

Raye wants me to get in shape though. Talking about 5 AM runs.. I might have to find an excuse, it's still pretty dark at 5 AM.
I mean.. if the place we jog at is well lit, I could see doing it no problem.. but getting there and what not?
I don't know.. Maybe I can see if we could just jog around inside the Outback? The place is pretty big.
Either that or I can try pushing up the time to maybe 7 or 8. The sun would be up by then.

I still have some time to figure out how I'll get around to telling her. I just can't do 5 AM runs.. You guys know this.
Maybe I should tell her..? I'm sort of scared. I don't want her to look at me differently or treat me like I'm weird.
I just don't know. Could one of you call me later?

Rayes been a little sluggish today. I still think she's sugar-crashed.. Poor little thing~!
It just means that I had to take care of her.. Which wasn't so bad ;3

I went by Miss Gwens place today and got hooked up with my weapon. I was somewhat disappointed to find out it wasn't *THAT* kind of glaive..
I guess I wont be telling people "YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!" Before every duel, huh?
I'm not really that great with polearm weapons, but I bet Gwen will teach me a thing or two about them!
I'll have to see if I can find a nice carrying case for it somewhere.. Guess I'll be hitting up the marketplace tomorrow!

Speaking of weapons. I'm getting myself a katana. Looks like at a pretty reasonable price too!

I HATE SPRING!

I'm totally sadfacing right now because I spent most of the day in a sneezing fit!!
I guess that's why I wasn't feeling all that hot yesterday..

So. There I was last night. Glasses on, hunched over my little Heavyarms Custom, just about ready to finish camo-detail on his right arm.. then, bam!

Long story short, I was asked to take over the Friday shift at the Annex for the Duels.

I felt even worse when I saw that blade rip into his shoulder.. I really hope he's okay.
I mean, I know the wards do their jobs and all but it probably still hurt like a mofo.
I wanted him to take it all the way to the finals. Like I said, if I was a betting woman..? Well - I would be out a lot of money right now.
In other Madness news: my new buddy Aurast did well against the blue-demon Imp last night. Maybe I should put all my invisible / fake money on him instead?

I just got back from Teas 'n Tomes..
Aurast is a real nice guy, he walked me back.
He didn't have to, but he did.. you don't really see men like that anymore.
I'm sort of worried about Raye right now.
Aurast brought up the man named Dark, and Raye got up and left..
I tried going after her, but I didn't know where she went.
I really wish I could of..

I feel terrible right now.
I mean, I'm supposed to try and help her. Not supposed, it's what I want to do.

Wooo..! Finally. Time to just sit down and relax.
Or at least TRY and relax. God this puppy is barking like crazy..
Maybe it'll shut up if I like.. throw something at it? Like food?
I don't know! The only dog I know how to deal with was my brothers collie, Buggy, back in Emerald Bay!
.. and hell, he died after I turned six years old! So that shows you how much I know about dogs!

Easter came and passed. Same can be said for Monday.
I guess the lack of sleep finally caught up with me.
I just couldn't feel the need to leave my bed! :3

Joking, joking. I did find a reason to leave later Sunday night.
We finally got around to meeting up with Kruger and giving him that puppy.
I gotta admit, I think I'll miss the little guy whining. He had a good taste in music, I tell you!
Though he wasn't the biggest fan of Char.. I had him watch the first episode of Gundam.
He yawned and got bored! Really! If he wasn't a puppy and an animal.. I would of slugged 'em!
No one yawns at the Red Comet!

Either way.. Maybe I'll hit Kruger up and go visit the little guy.
Of course, I won't say I'm there to visit the puppy!
Good thing Kruger has a bunch of weaponry and armor I can look at.
I wonder if I could buy myself a nice set of armor..

I'm not really sure what's been going on with the guy.. I mean, I don't know him well.

I can't say I was really thrilled to see her.
Even if she's the holder of PathFinder.. I sort of find her annoying.

I couldn't help but laugh a little when I got my tired butt back to the Outback after church.

Anyway, right. I got my tired butt back home after church - we're caught up again.
So there on the bed is this basket full of stuff.
I sort of wasn't expecting anything like that, so it was a pretty nice surprise.
Though the coloring books got a laugh out of me. I haven't played with those since I was a kid..

Okay! I lie! I screwed around with one while waiting for my appointment at the eye doc. (>_>)
Anywho.. I've already made good use of the bubble bath.
I think I'll leave the firecrackers alone for now.. A warning for you, Seth. 8D

*AHEM*! It was a nice surprise. I'm eating a piece of chocolate as I write this.
I know, I know. My DIET.. It's okay, I'm only allowing myself one piece a day.

Monday was pretty easy going.
I watched the first of the newish Evangelion movies.
I sort of kept putting off watching it for awhile since I felt it was just another rehash or a rehash.
They keep putting out new stuff and milking the cash cow, but meh I felt it was time.

I have to admit though.. Evangelion got me through rough moments in my past.
Well. Not just it. I'd say a mixture of a lot of stuff did, but It was *one*.
It was when I was young and depressed over, well.. you know.
I didn't exactly know what the story was about. Bits and pieces really.
I can't say I even understand it now.
Looking back on it now, I probably got some things wrong. But the connection it made emotionally at that time can't be replaced.
Toward the end. The last two episodes. I now know it was because of budget cuts..
But back then. All the talking of people, relationships..
and in the end when Shinji figured out life really was worth living.. and his friends and family congratulated him while clapping.
I won't lie.. I cried.

" I hate myself.
But, maybe, maybe I could love myself.
Maybe, my life can have a greater value.
That's right!
I am no more or less than myself.
I am me!
I want to be myself!
I want to continue existing in this world!
My life is worth living here! "

I think it's one of the reasons I got more into anime. Like a gateway drug.
Some might think it's a little immature.. but anime was there for me when I was sad and lonely.
When Dad was drinking, when Mom was ignoring. When my jerk of a brother would bully me.
I could always just hide away after school and watch Gundam. Or go to Logans and watch his sisters bootleg copy of NGE.

Seeing it brought back some old memories. It wasn't so bad.
I'll watch 2.0 later. Maybe in a week or so. I just need to find a day when I have nothing going on.

Life is pretty good for me right now.. I'm thankful for that.

Monday wasn't all about reflection though. I got something in the mail.
You guys just can't guess what it was!
I got a medal from the Governor!
No joke, seriously!
I guess taking on those extra shifts and popping up to help with Madness was worth it!
I got a medal *AND* extra pay!
I sort of don't know what to do with it. So right now I just have it laying in the box it came in.
I'll find a better spot for it later.

But, you know. It's the thought that counts and stuff.
I didn't expect to really get anything like that for doing my job! LOL!

I'd write the Governor a letter saying thanks but she's probably pretty busy. I wouldn't want to be a bother.

Anywhoo.. My birthday is creeping around the corner. Only two days now.
Or, well. Less than two!
I already know what Jay got me. So you guys better find a way to beat out Tallgeese III.

I kind of want to talk about my Dad. This is sort of serious and it's mostly me trying to work through this grief but I don't know, I just need to do something.

My father was a war hero. At least that's what everyone told me. I asked him a few times about his past, but he always shook his head and looked sad. As time went on, I stopped asking. The only story I was ever told was by my uncle. He said Dad was in some fire fight. Two dead, third one dying. He could of left the guy behind but he put his own life in danger and dragged him behind cover and waited till backup arrived. The man he saved died. Loss of blood. Still, I felt proud of my dad. I got home that same day and tried to talk to him about it. He hit me.

He hit me before, but this was different. Usually it was when I didn't listen, made a mess, or was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But that time? It was his face. He didn't look angry or furious. Thinking back on it now, I probably brought up memories he didn't want to think about and he just wanted me to shut up. Or, maybe.. he didn't want me to know about that part of his past.

He put a rifle in my hand when I was 10. "A boy should learn to shoot!" he said with a smile. That smile didn't last long when I first shot the thing. I was bawling and just wouldn't stop. Scared the hell out of me, I didn't touch another firearm till I was twelve and even then it was under pressure.

Even though it was my brother who first caught me trying on girls clothing. It was Erin's school uniform. You remember that one, Seth? You always said her butt looked too big in it.

It's October first! That means.. hold on, let me do some math..
Totally almost a month till Halloween.
Yeah, I'm a wiz at long division and calculus if you haven't guessed.
I'm not really sure if I'll do anything for Halloween.
Might just stay in and watch some spooky films. Maybe not, who knows.

In all honesty I don't know why I'm really even typing here.
Maybe it's a mix of boredom and insomnia that's having me think of ways to spend my time.
I kind of feel like waking up Raye so I have someone to talk to, but I don't want to really disturb her.
I don't know what I'd even talk about anyway!

Maybe I should pick up a new hobby?
I've been busying myself with working out lately and when I'm not doing that, it's mostly just lounging around..
"You could get a job, Apps." Yeah, well - I could. Maybe I should? I mean, I don't need to.. but I'd like to get out in the open a little more.
Sure, calling Duels is a job but it's mostly just if/when a shift is available.
The staff and higher ups are nice, don't get me wrong, but it's not really stable work/income.

There's art supplies around here. Maybe I could start drawing again?
I haven't done that in years. Looking back on it now I should of done more realistic work instead of anime style.
Speaking of anime, I just don't get it much anymore. I'm looking at all this new stuff coming out and nothing catches my eye.
Too many cute girls doing cute things, makes me realize what type of people Japan is catering too.
.. I still like slice of life highschoolish shows though, so don't get me wrong.
I just don't see the appeal in little girls running around in frilly outfits going into borderline lesbian situations. Otakus make me cringe sometime.

Maybe this is just me growing up a little. I've been watching more live action stuff.
Either that or I'm just burnt out and bored with what is being offered.
I think that's it.

Alright. Yeah.. it was my bad. I sort of was texting while on the job and got called out for it.
Yeah, I get it! My fault. Not going to blame anyone else. I've been keeping my cellphone in my purse now and trying really, really hard not to touch it..!
I still do when there's no one dueling >_> .. but, that should be considered a break time anyway.
It just really makes it sound like I'm dependent on it! ORZ
Matt, the boss down at The Outback. He's brought it up twice already with me.. He's probably just doing it as a reminder, but it's annnooooying!

G, the guy who handles The Arena. He never seemed to mind that I was doing it when I used to call down there on Saturday's.
Buuuut.. they aren't the same person, so I can't expect the same treatment from one place over at the other.

Ugggh all of this is so complicated.

So I went to church on Sunday, right? There was this couple with a cuuute baby and she was baptized.
Made me think about children, you know..?
I mean - I don't think I can have any.. Not with, you know, everything I've done.
My -coughcough- count must be below zero with no chance of recovery. ( you guys probably didn't want to imagine that, sorry x-x. )
At the same time I don't think I could even commit to help making one even if I could.
Sex is just.. I dunno.
Adoption is an option. One I like really, really much. Helping a less-fortunate child, giving them a home, and nurturing them.
It just sounds like a nice thing to do, doesn't it? Why make a child when there's so many out there who need your help.
Now don't start thinking I'm going to be strolling around the city with a baby anytime soon.
I'm 22! I'm still way too young..

God I'm totally beat.. even after sleeping my muscles just ache so much.
There's good reason for it though, and that's because.. well..
Guess who's the new Baroness of Seaside?

It's not officially official yet, but I have the ring right now and I might scope out my new digs later on.
Tical was *sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo* hard to fight against.
Twenty two rounds and brought into super-duper sudden death.
But it was fun. Really fun. I'm glad I chose Tical. He's a real nice guy.
I hope we fight again soon ^^!

There wasn't that much of an audience. Which is TOTALLY odd!
Maybe I don't have that many supporters? :3 Or people were just busy.
But me, Tical, and our caller Rena was enough. BUSINESS GOT HANDLED!

Anywhoo.. Final results were after 22 rounds, me 7.5 while Tical was 6.5.
I see my mistakes throughout the fight. I sort of went all full-blown attack mode and screwed up a bunch.. buuut, I guess things paid off.
Either way.. I'm totally a Baroness now. So you guys need to call me Madam Baroness.
and if you're nice I just might invite you to a BBQ at the manor.

I feel sort of silly. My colors were pink with a white lightning bolt.
Lightning was on my mind >__>.. I think putting together that cosplay outfit did a number on my brain.
It's soooo nice looking! The outfit, not the banner. Well - the banner is nice too.

Saw a drunk polar bear, got hit on by this dude with a huge beard, and found my possible Squire for Seaside.
Well, that's if my first choice doesn't work out. I can't say who it is - hush hush!

Number one rule to being a Trans.
1: FEAR MEN
No joke, men are scary..

Okay, okay you guys. You know I trust you, but I mean all men you don't know well.
Not to say this Bearded guy is a bad dude..
He gloats a lot, he's one hell of a fighter, and at times seems a little confused when certain things come up.
It's not that he rubs me the wrong way, it's more like I just feel the need to keep up a guard..
even more since he made a comment about if I wanted to go back to his tent with him.
He isn't all that handsy on me though and seemed to understand me when I said I was in a relationship.
There was no feeling of pressure compared to other times with other men..
I'll just have to see how things progress.. Getting back into the world after the stuff that happened, these types of trials help.

I'm just happy to see the duels getting new people. Loud, proud, always looking for a fight, and a little egotistical?
I'll take that fun over the normal chit-chat-and-no-duels that goes around much of the time.

I think I'll bake Velhelmi and Charles a cake to welcome them to the RhyDin Duels.

I hope I see more of that. Trash talk in competitiveness sports always bring the hype.

Wooo.. Yesterday was pretty busy. Busy, but fun! :3
Slept till twelve.. haven't done that in a few months, then got dressed and took my new gunblade out on the balcony for a test run.
I'm trying hard to get comfortable with it.

Well, after breaking in my new baby, I went out for some shopping.
Felt like seeing if there were any used game I could pick up.. nothing caught my attention.
Saw an old copy of Xenogears but it didn't have the booklet and the case looked meh.
Not going to waste money on something I can get for free.. especially when it doesn't have anything of collectable value.
Did get an old Gameboy Color and a copy of Pokemon Crystal for cheap. So there's some good news.

Popped some batteries in the sucker and played it on the bus.
Uggggh I need a new car! I'll poke around a few places later in the week. Maybe.
Anywhoo.. after that I hit up Goodwill. There's always nice stuff there, even if the place kind of has this weird smell.
That's not snobbish! It's the truth! And I'll have you know Goodwill is the best place for surprise discoveries!
