The scene opens with Andrea leaning over a counter and ordering a mocha latte and speaking with the guy behind the counter. The camera zooming in to catch a smile, along with a laugh. The zoom in fading back as Andrea turned away and moved for the private table with an easygoing sway in her sashayed step.
The scene changed when she was about a few feet away, fading back in with her sitting at the table and laughing out; most likely in reaction to something the interviewer had said.
"Who do I admire? I'd have to say Matt Simon. When I first came to the Outback," The screen changed. It no longer showed Andrea - but she spoke over images of the famed Outback of Rhy'Din. Showing the many different rings and still shots of fighters from the past.
"He was the one who showed me around. I remember it like it was yesterday," Pausing to drink from her latte. "My first time in the Annex. No, my first time at the duels all together. I've heard about them but I've never taken the time to really visit. I had just gotten a job as a Caller and decided to scope out the place before. Baby steps, you don't want jump right into the deep end."
The scene changed back to Andrea. She waved her hand. "Anyway. There is Matt Simon, standing in the middle of the ring and asking anyone and everyone to fight him. Naturally, I want to see if the guy I heard a little about lived up to the legends. Let me tell you; he did. It was a four on one fight and in the end it was me and him toe to toe.. He with four points and me with three. I tried to take him down to the mat but he ended the match," Andrea tapped the right side of her jaw. "Punched me right here without even blinking. That guy knew what he was doing."
"Four on one and he left the ring four wins over losses higher. You have to admire a guy like that.. and once it was all over? He tells me there was a challenge match going on in the Outback, and if I was interested - he'd take me there and show me around,
I was hooked after that."
Andrea laughed. "I'd like to think we have a love, hate relationship. Me loving to annoy him at times, and him hating that I spend all my time calling while shopping on my cellphone.. I'm a real addict when it comes to online auctions, I can't help myself." Andrea grinned.
"Ever since then, I've fought in the Outback. Almost fifty wins over losses, a Diamond, and right now I'm holding the PathFinder Opal."
Andrea Anderson won the 72nd Diamond of the Duel of Fists in her first Diamond Quest Tournament. Later on down the line she became the holder of the PathFinder Opal; an Opal she gained through another tournament - one where she was undefeated throughout.
"In the end it was me and Candy.. We're both Team Beat Down, it was a fun and exciting ending to the tournament. I'd like to say I won on my own, but I used a little move I saw another Diamond, Kheldar, use."
The scene changes to show the final round of the 2013 PathFinder Tournament. Andrea stepping in to feint an uppercut and Candy attempting to move away from it with a dodge maneuver. In the end all it took was Andrea to pull the arm back and pivot her body about to swing in her right fist to take the match.
"No one scored above two points on me during the tournament. I was shocked.. But it's what I've trained for. When you're a professional fighter, that's what you do. Some come to the Duels as a pass time and a way to blow off steam. They have a job, a family, things in their life that overshadow Dueling. But me? This is what I do.
And you know what they say. If you put in the work, you get rewarded."
The scene changed to show the final round between Andrea and Rena Cronin during the 72nd Diamond Quest. It shows Andrea lifting up a leg to defend an incoming sweep, then stepping forward to swing down a fist to take the win.
"Or I could just be bad at multi-tasking." Andrea tried, but she couldn't help showing some of her humble nature as she smiled. "It's probably that."
