Ase Me Na S'Agapo

Let Me Love You

Let me love you
To live with you
(let me be) every thought from the mind
I can't leave away from you
Let me love you
And if this is the end
If i leave, if i get lost
I will come back to you
Let me love you

With the 1st glance
Thunder in my heart
You were a dream that seemed
To take fire
From the 1st moment
You were in my soul
You came into my life
And i've got wings

Let me secretly enter into your life
I want to taste your 1st kiss
What if i can't live with you

Let me love you
To live with you
(let me be) every thought from the mind
I can't leave away from you
Let me love you
And if this is the end
If i leave, if i get lost
I will come back to you
Let me love you

With the 1st glance
Thunder in my heart
My mind has left
And changed the track
Don't count the money
The night is ours
With a breath, a caress
You send me up high...

Kruger paced...back and forth in his rooms despite the assurances that Gio and the boys offered him. Perhaps it was the way they laughed when they talked. Surely they could see how important this day was to him. He couldn't seem to get nearly enough moisture into his mouth either, swallow and drink as much as he wanted the reams of cotton still clung to his tongue. "Shai is probably a stone of confidence right now." He spoke to no one in particular, the air...himself as he did often when he was working.

A look out the window showed the snowy expanse of Belglade the new formed ruts of the priests carriage and where they had turned into the drive up to the house. He would be greeted first and foremost by the snow man that the children had built, it wore a large scarf and Kruger was assured that it was him. He took a deep breath to calm himself before turning back to Gio. "How much longer must we wait?"

Considering the announcement when Shai and Kruger had come home several days before, that there was a wedding to be had....swiftly, Rochelle was running around like a woman who had lost her mind. She was Italian, so it was the same difference. But she had come forward like a Commander and delegated decorating, food preparation, final touches on the dress Shai had made the moment she had been proposed to, like a pro and without missing the first beat. There was time for a nervous breakdown, tomorrow.

Upon the Priest' arrival, he was ushered upstairs to Shai, where he would speak to her in private and they would pray together, before he would leave her to finish preparing with her attendants and a rap met the room door where Kruger was. "A moment of time with you, Sir?" Father Simon was an elder of a man, rather short and near balded, but he had eyes the color of midnight blue and a laugh that could set the most humble to grinning. A goodly sort, some claimed he dabbled in the spirits of drink, but that was never factual, for the most part.

The smith looked to the men and gave a nod of dismissal. "Of course Father..." Kruger tried to find something to do with his hands. He tried the jacket pockets and that wasn't comfortable. He finally opted for holding the back of a chair. He smiled to the priest small at first then wider. "This is a day that I have waited long for...What do you need from me sir?" More swallowing that gave no satisfaction to him.

Bowing his head to the men as they left, the Priest smiled at Kruger and chuckled openly. "I need for you to take several deep breaths and if you are a drinking sort, share with me." Knowing the Blacksmith did not partake, it was for humor's value more so than anything. Not that he would have declined the offer, of course. "It is my practice to speak with the Bride and Groom before the ceremony to see if there is anything you would wish to speak of before and if you needed anything from me."

He stood breathing for a moment, while he considered the priests words. "To be honest...I know very little about what I must do in this...I have seen plenty of weddings but they are all slightly different...some are very different..." He looked at the priest wondering if he understood. "I don't know much beyond the bride is the woman I want to spend forever with."

Again, the Priest chuckled. "My good boy, then you know more than ninety percent of the grooms that marry. But, I do understand your concern. The main thing that is plaguing Shai was your nervousness. Once I reassured her, we then spoke about this wedding not being of a typical Greek Orthodox sort. Generally, if it was done as would be traditional, the wedding would have started days ago, meaning the ceremony. They are very long and time consuming, involving the entirety of both families, so on and so forth. While that is not the case, your union is still blessed by the Church, so there is no worry of that. The ceremony will be lengthy, but not overly so. Mostly me rambling on, which I am sure most will ignore. I will then bless your union rings, bless you both, you will both state your vows and I will then pronounce you husband and wife. The vows are the only thing we cannot deviate."

From his pocket, Father Simon offered him a slip of paper. Upon it read: I, Aristotle Kruger Allen, take you, Shai Cadeau Vevea, as my wedded wife, and I promise you love, honor, and respect; to be faithful to you; and not to forsake you until death do us part. So help me God, one in the Holy Trinity, and all the saints.

"Will that suffice...?"

The smith held tight to the page, reading and knowing the power of words spoken. He nodded as he reached the end of it. "That will suffice Sir. He lifted the page in a shaking hand and tucked it behind within the pocket of his coat. He saw a child run by wearing the white of a flower girls dress and giggling. "When would do we begin, it feels like hours since this has all begun."

"When I came up, everyone was outside in the garden's, awaiting you. Would you like to walk down with me? We will begin then...." Opening the door behind him, Father Simon motioned towards the stairs. "I must say, I am happy to have worn double underclothes, I wasn't aware the ceremony would be in the snow." The man's sense of humor bordered lines a Priest should not cross. He was male after all.

He looked to the doors as they opened, smiling as the Priest spoke of extra underclothes. "It will be a crisp ceremony I think...though the gardens are always beautiful. Have you seen the way the snow blankets everything?"

He followed the priest out and moved to the front access. He didn't feel the cold or the apprehension anymore. Kruger made his way forward to stand with the three masons. He shook their hands and thanked them each for being here for him.

While it had been prepared for, extremely quickly, the grounds were absolutely gorgeous with the additives of white chairs, hanging valances,as well a black walkway runner. While it was formal, the children still ran at the heart's content, building their snow forts, and even managed to get into a snowball fight nearby.

It had been the most important thing to Kruger and Shai, to keep things relaxed even amongst the candlelight adding a flicker to the pending setting sun. Theo and his brother were near the front doors, each fluent in the violin and playing quietly, while each glanced now and again inside. Upon sight of Kruger and the Priest, they both smiled and nodded.

Upstairs, Shai continued to get ready and was rising when the last pin had been placed in her hair that was swept from her neck into a pile upon her head. Just barely able to get into her gown, it was fractionally tight at the waist but laid beautifully.

Kruger elbowed Gio and pointed at the children playing. He spoke quietly into the mans ear about preparing for ambush. They were running about and stockpiling snowballs. There would be a great war this day and they wanted to be well armed for the conflict. For a time He wondered if they had plans to attack the wedding party.

"Are you ready, Shai...?" Rochelle inquired from the suit door she was standing against. Rochelle was so very proud, not of only Shai but also of Kruger. Such a whirlwind the two were, from the very start of their relationship to this very moment. She couldn't help but weep and kept dabbing at her eyes with the linen kerchief.

"Mhm, oui....I think so Rochelle..." Taking one final look in the mirror, Shai turned and smiled. The Greek was nervous and for a split second, she wondered if Kruger was making a huge mistake in taking her on with a lifelong commitment. The two fit so very well together, as they had each been placed in this world for the other.

The moment lasting only briefly, a kiss was bestowed the cheeks of Virginia for all of her assistance and she stepped to Rochelle and gave a 3 point turn. "Am I well trapped within this dress?" A slight touch of humor to her tone, fingers smoothed at the light chiffon.

"You are a vision of beauty, Shai....absolutely beautiful...!" A breathy sigh, Rochelle leaned in and kissed her cheek gently. There was nothing the doting Italian would change or adjust as she had done for so many year's before. She was perfection incarnate.

A few moment's later, Rochelle and Virginia made their way downstairs, with the former giving Gio a nod to begin and left Shai at the bottom of the stairs.

Adjusting the bouquet of Sweet Pea and Anemone, the lavender's were a stark contrast to the white gown and punctuated it stunningly.

A deep breath taken, Shai stepped out onto the front porch amongst the gentle serenade of the violin's and dark eyes were a shimmer as they trained on Kruger.

Kruger

There was a gasp within Kruger chest. A sucking of breath as musical interlude changed to something more intense and driving. This was hardly the reason for his gasp though. Nor was it the reason for the arm at his back from the man next to him. Where Gio's smile was wide Kruger had forgotten what a flat expression was. At once he grinned and wept at the sight of how beautiful Shai was in her dress.

Gio had leaned into him to say something Kruger could only half hear. The urge to meet her, to go down the aisle and carry her forward was at the forefront of his mind. If only he could stop fingers from shaking. "A vision, a glorious vision that looks at me with so much love." He lost track of everything beyond the scope of where Shai was in her progression that seemed so agonizingly slow. He knew it was true that the distance between them was negligible. He could cross it in moments if he chose. He had chosen that a time or two when it came to this woman before him.

Just behind him he could feel the priest, an aura of him anyway that seemed to warm as Shai appeared. Whether that was a reaction to the bride or the groom was a mystery. Kruger licked his lips and did his best not to run down to Shai and scoop her up and carry her the final distance. He knew little about fashion, or accenting as it came to dresses. He knew though that he love to look at her in light colors. The way they set off her skin tones was something he couldn't break his gaze from. He moved forward to meet her and lace a hand to her arm. He looked defiantly around to see if any would begrudge his action but found no one who didn't expect something similar.

The smith turned to walk the last few feet with Shai wondering if she could feel the way his fingers trembled on her arm. He leaned in and whispered soft to her. "Vous prenez mon souffle mon amour"

The two stood there as did they quite often, unaware of anyone or anything surrounding them as they whispered to one another, their intimacy once again in grand display. While some wished to turn away, they couldn't bring themselves to do just that, it was simply too pristine to miss. "J'ai shant garder pendant longtemps, mon amour. Il se m?le au mien et je suis en admiration devant qui je suis sur le point de devenir ta femme."

The Priest at that moment, cleared his throat with a grin and spider lash lifted, as well trembling lips from the shell of Kruger's ear. Every eye was upon them and for a moment, a flock of butterfly's raced through Shai's belly. Once standing before Father Simon, those that had been standing, sat and everything went so very silent and Father Simon began.

"A wedding is a public announcement by two people of their commitment to one another. The ceremony today fulfills the public component. You two stand here now, before friends and family and with the intention to declare your love and commitment to each other. A marriage, however, is a private promise between two people which takes a lifetime to fulfill; a promise to share your lives generously and enthusiastically each and every day; a promise to listen when the other needs to talk; a promise to comfort when the other needs assurance; and a promise to renew the appreciation and love you feel for each other. "

"A good marriage does not just happen -- it must be created and maintained. For marriage is a spiritual, emotional, and intellectual bond between two people. It is an adventure in something beyond the excitement and romance of being deeply in love. I like to think of loving not as a commitment, but rather as an agreement we must make new every day: "I agree to help you. I agree to look out for you. I agree to trust you and be worthy of your trust. I agree to put up with your bad moods and try to make you laugh. I agree to do the best I can, and if on occasion, my best falls short, I will continue to grow and get better."
"And so each day becomes a small mosaic of plans and trials and laughter and ideas and promises shared and promises fulfilled, and to this we add the words: "Because I love you, I agree to do this. And because I love you, I will make this agreement new every day."

"With love, shared pain is lessened. With love, shared joy is increased. Love makes you stronger, so that you can reach out and live in ways you dared not risk alone. Let your love give you the strength to stand apart, to make your own contributions to the world. Love each other's families as your own. May you look upon each other's strengths with joy, accept each other's imperfections with understanding, and renew your love each and every day."

"As we now proceed to the marriage vows, may each married couple here today be inspired to re-affirm the vows they made on their own wedding day, and for others, may it bring a smile for future dreams."

Kruger heard the words of Father Simon; they registered within him like a bell. A pure and simple sound that announced to others, drew their attention to the place where the sounds came from. It lifted him inside as he listened to the advice about love and what it meant. He never wondered if she felt that for him, he could see it in every look she had ever given him. He started to hum almost silently as Father Simon went on, and nearly missed the point at which he spoke of vows. Kruger turned to Shai, her hand warm in his grip. He had tried to commit the words on that card to memory but somehow everything in his mind went blank at seeing her eyes on him.

Kruger

He produced the little card and let his eyes fall to it for a moment. Father Simon was giving him the cues he needed, but that dry mouth had suddenly returned to him. He couldn't seem to get his voice much above an intimate whisper.

"I, Aristotle Kruger Allen," The voice cracked as he started his own name. There was a soft chuckle from those gathered. "take you, Shai Cadeau Vevea, as my wedded wife," He couldn't control his eyes anymore, they burned with salty saline. "and I promise you love, honor, and respect;" His cheeks were baptized by the first tears to fall at the words though he was still smiling lovingly at her. "to be faithful to you; and not to forsake you" He wanted to pull to him, to whisper these words as he had so many other things to her. To let her know exactly how much he felt them. "until death do us part." He took a shuddering breath then. "So help me God, one in the Holy Trinity, and all the saints."

Kruger felt the emotions deep in him stirred, the entirety of his face seemed beyond his ability to control this day. He mouthed the words to her that he felt deep within him. "Je t'aime." He heard nothing from any around, even the children it seemed had stopped to witness the act of their vows. His leaking wheat hued eyes were on her face and no force could make him look away from her.

When Kruger began to speak, tears began to fall across those gathered. They had watched the two all of these months, being tested and time again, sometimes in the most harsh of ways. Never once did they falter, never once did they abandon one another and never once was their commitment and love for one another questioned. It was a glorious day, in every way possible.

Reaching with a clearly shaking hand, Shai's thumb tenderly brushed at the spot beneath his eye that was holding a plump tear and was openly crying herself. They had held each other for a lifetime, while destiny decided when to meld them as one.

When it came time for her to speak, Shai swallowed several times and reached again, this time her palms came to his cheeks and her flooding gaze delved to his own. "I, Shai Cadeau Vevea, take you, Aristotle Kruger Allen, as my wedded husband..." Her chest was so tight she was finding it hard to breathe. "I promise to love you, honor and respect you; to be faithful to you, to not forsake you..." A sob quietly came free. "Until death do us part. So help me God, one in the Holy Trinity, and all the saints."
When their vows were complete, Father Simon took both rings and began the blessing. He then asked God for his blessing. Three times, the rings were entwined and passed over Kruger and Shai. Every head was bowed as the Priest spoke quietly and meaningful. The weaving motion between them both, representing their lives being entwined into one. All in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In Greek tradition, the rings were placed on the right hand of Kruger and Shai, another series of blessings, before the rings were then removed and switched to his and her left hand. Taking their hands then into his own, Father Simon placed a kiss to the joining and bowed his head in final prayer.

"Gracious God, richly bless Shai and Kruger, in the promises that they have made to each other. Grant that the courtesies, the thoughtfulness, and the self giving which already have laid the foundation for their love, build the home which is raised on it. May they be loyal and engaging companions to each other,. and may they be loving and wise parents. And in this world where there is much disillusion and disappointment...where love brings delight and also wounding in the fragility of our ways...make them a visible symbol of the love that does not wane when the evening comes but is fresh with each new day. And as you bless this special couple this day, bless each union represented here. Forgive us where we have not been good news and glad days for each other. Perfect our imperfect love with the joy that comes from above, and may we grow ourselves and grow in affirmation of the other. May the Lord bless you and take care of you: May the Lord be kind and gracious to you: May the Lord look on you with favor and give you peace. Amen."

Kruger's face took on that look of intense pleasure. He looked down on Shai with a n expression that held every ounce of love and devotion he could manage. When it was her time to speak his heart filled with her words and her looks on him. He listened and his hands went to hers when she let out that sob.

He could get lost in moments spent with Shai, and often had. Publicly or private mattered little to him, so long as she was with him there was always the risk that their passion for one another would become evident. It was there in his expression for all to see now, though it may make others uncomfortable to see the majority of those gathered had seen it often. He was lost in her eyes even now as the rings were blessed and given over to rite. He was startled slightly as Father Simon took their hands and kissed them.

There was power within the benediction. Kruger could feel that surely in the way it affected him. There was a peace that fell down upon him then. On his finger the new band would take getting used to in a way that had never been between the bride and groom who seemed to mesh immediately when the met. There was a hush over the gathering of people as the words rang forth from the lips of Father Simon. His words seemed to have an effect on all who were married. Rochelle was seen in the front briefly and Kruger gave her a small smile.

The priest finally turned back to the two before him and announced in words that seemed to echo across the gardens and well beyond to the tree line beyond the house. That could have been an illusion that his ears alone heard but it didn't change the meaning of the words or the deep satisfaction that Kruger felt at them. "I now pronounce you man and wife! To those in attendance I introduce to you Mr. Aristotle Kruger Allen and Mrs. Shai Cadeau Allen. What god has joined let no one put asunder." He smiled to the couple and said more quietly. "You may kiss the bride."

Kruger didn't need to be told twice to kiss Shai. He pulled her in for a deep kiss that he had been wanting from the moment that she had stepped from the house and onto the dais. "I love you Mrs. Allen..." His words were soft meant for her alone.
