Brian arrived at the Inn later than evening and before he even made his way into the door he heard the chaos. The name "Lucy" and "Renna" were tossed around, mixed in with "Alex" and "Li Li" and then "Dwyn". Brian shook his head and wondered what the hell else was going to happen.
Dwyn had told Brian "When on door closes, another will open", but Brian didn't quite get what that meant until now. Striding inside the Inn, Brian awaited whatever was to come. The first thing he had heard was that "Lucy" had a slip and somehow opened up something within her that should have never been available. That she had threatened people in the Inn, and specifically Alex. This truly concerned Brian, as he promised Charlotte that he has assurances this would not occur if they took her into their home. Looks like Brian had made a serious err in judgement on that one.
If Lucy managed to gain access to what was inside her this early, Brian had no douby trouble would follow it was a vicious cycle, and for some reason no one had any control over it. Brian thought if he and Charlotte could take her in, maybe they could avert another incident by helping Lucy tounderstand what occured and how to deal with her issues at hand. But given what outside forces were at work in the Inn, namely a new source of darkness, the Dragon Shadow. That was going to be a great deal harder than Brian thought.
Li Li was another story as the young girl nearly lost her life to Brian's brother, the Dark Knight Dwyn. Dwyn however showed mercy, which was very unlike him and supposedly, the one part drow child was now a dragon thanks to Aurthur and Icer and would no longer pose a problem. Brian hoped that was true as Dwyn more than likely would not hold his blade for much longer.
Brian knew he had to speak to Lucy, and knew of a place to take her to. One where they could teach her how to use what she had for a better purpose in life than to strike out against others. Brian would take her to the Abbey of Marfa, east of Rhy'din. The Priestsess' and people there would be able to help the child understand what occured and how to handle her newfound powers as well. Brian regretted having to do this, but he truly had no choice as he did not want to put Charlotte or anyone else close to him in danger once again, not after Renna and everything else that happened in the last few months.
Brian never made it home that night, as he was filled with frustration at himself. After speaking with Lenika, Dwyn, Kristia and many others, Brian opted to go out and check leads on a new contract that was posted. In the morning on his way back home he headed to the Inn, to speak with Lucy and explain to her what was going on. She was leaving their home and headed for the Temple.
