Brian arrived at the Inn later than evening and before he even made his way into the door he heard the chaos. The name "Lucy" and "Renna" were tossed around, mixed in with "Alex" and "Li Li" and then "Dwyn". Brian shook his head and wondered what the hell else was going to happen.

Dwyn had told Brian "When on door closes, another will open", but Brian didn't quite get what that meant until now. Striding inside the Inn, Brian awaited whatever was to come. The first thing he had heard was that "Lucy" had a slip and somehow opened up something within her that should have never been available. That she had threatened people in the Inn, and specifically Alex. This truly concerned Brian, as he promised Charlotte that he has assurances this would not occur if they took her into their home. Looks like Brian had made a serious err in judgement on that one.

If Lucy managed to gain access to what was inside her this early, Brian had no douby trouble would follow it was a vicious cycle, and for some reason no one had any control over it. Brian thought if he and Charlotte could take her in, maybe they could avert another incident by helping Lucy tounderstand what occured and how to deal with her issues at hand. But given what outside forces were at work in the Inn, namely a new source of darkness, the Dragon Shadow. That was going to be a great deal harder than Brian thought.

Li Li was another story as the young girl nearly lost her life to Brian's brother, the Dark Knight Dwyn. Dwyn however showed mercy, which was very unlike him and supposedly, the one part drow child was now a dragon thanks to Aurthur and Icer and would no longer pose a problem. Brian hoped that was true as Dwyn more than likely would not hold his blade for much longer.

Brian knew he had to speak to Lucy, and knew of a place to take her to. One where they could teach her how to use what she had for a better purpose in life than to strike out against others. Brian would take her to the Abbey of Marfa, east of Rhy'din. The Priestsess' and people there would be able to help the child understand what occured and how to handle her newfound powers as well. Brian regretted having to do this, but he truly had no choice as he did not want to put Charlotte or anyone else close to him in danger once again, not after Renna and everything else that happened in the last few months.

Brian never made it home that night, as he was filled with frustration at himself. After speaking with Lenika, Dwyn, Kristia and many others, Brian opted to go out and check leads on a new contract that was posted. In the morning on his way back home he headed to the Inn, to speak with Lucy and explain to her what was going on. She was leaving their home and headed for the Temple.

"The child has arrived and has settled into her room M'Lord."

"Thank you Nyu, were there any problems to speak of?"

"None at all M'Lord. But I admit, she is uneasy. I do not blame her."

"Neither do I, but this was for the best. I truly didn't want to do this, but this is a much better place for her, than with me."

Brian paced a moment around the small waiting room, he had arrived at half past eight in the evening, and wanted look into Lucy's arrival. He had been been waiting nearly half an hour, and to kill time, spoke with Nyu.

"She does remind me somewhat of you, when you were that age. Very distrusting, and with quite the edge. Of course you were a bit hard to deal with, not being confined to a chair an all."

"Underestimate that child at your own peril, my dear Nyu. The potential in that child is amazing and I have a feeling, that chair will be a memory shortly. That is one hurdle, I believe she will take out first. However, she has quite the road ahead and I truly want her to live a normal life as much as she can, which is why she is here."

"Y'know, you could always come back and teach. You used to be such a great help back when-" Brian cut her off with a wave of his hand.

"That cannot be permitted and you know why. While I do have some work here, it is limited to meetings and shadows. I am not even permitted to properly use what little magicks I already, without having to deal with the consequences. Anyways, I am not the topic of this talk. I want the child to be as normal as possible, she deserves that much after what her 'Mother' had done. Also i will not be around for a few weeks time, so I am asking you to take care of things."

"Ah yes the weeeeedding! Tee hee!" any form of seriousness was lost as Nyu giggled and smiled.

"Yes, the wedding and whatever else may come."

"Y'know Rienna lost 10 crowns on that little betting pool. 'Course that still isn't as bad as the 40 I lost with the other one, what was her name.. Oh well, it doesn't matter now, I guess. Anyways, congratulations."

"Thank you, Nyu. That means a great deal to me. Especially after all we have been through."

A knock on the door, brought their talk to a pause. Rienna stuck her head inside the room and spoke softly. "M'Lord, Mother regrets to inform you that she cannot attend as promised, and that child will be cared for. She wishes you the best as well in regards to your upcoming wedding, and she hopes to be in touch with you directly soon. She also advises to be careful."

Brian nodded in reply and smiled.

"Thank you Rienna, and congratulations on your promotion to Captain. I was very pleased to have heard of it, and I am sorry I wasn't able to speak with you ealier."

Brian bowed in turn to both ladies, and excused himself from the room as he made his way through a door to the back of the room.

"Thank you both, I will be in touch soon."

Brian walked down the corridor, and was soon outside the main hall. He smiled to himself, knowing things would be well enough while he was away.

"She's gone! Rienna she is gone! Rieeeeeeenna!"

Nyu screamed as she barreled through the door to Rienna's room, her eyes wide and sweat beads were abotu her face. A moment was taken to catch her breath and then she began to yell once more. "We checked the room, an the dorms. We checked the grounds. There isna sign of her! She is gone! Rienn..."

*Smack!*

Rienna's hand connected with Nyu's face and stopped her in mid rant cold. Rienna then went to her closet and began to dress in her armour. Her voice calm as she addressed Nyu, who by then had finally calmed down. "Nyu, I want you to wake the Guard. Have the men take to the outer walls and ponds, and have the women take to the dorms and interior. Then I want you to inform Mother and have a message sent to our troublesome Lord as well, I am sure he will want to search as well. With any luck she and the cat are on the grounds and probably making a game of this, but then again with what his Lordship shared with Mother we can take no chances. Now Hurry."

Nyu tore out of the room, and made for the guard hall. Within minutes a buzz of activity had begun to take place and the hall came alive, as men and women began to file out and search the grounds. Rienna emerged from the main hall and prayed to Marfa that this was some sort of prank.
