I am not light and airy like Amthy, who is the air; not solid and grounded like the earth; I am not electric; nor do I burn like the fire. I am the water: quick, flowing, changing, deep. My personality, my moods, and emotions are as variant and layered as the colors of the sea?you may know just one drop of me.

I can overcome any obstacle. If I cannot topple it, I surge around it and, in time, wear it away until it is nothing. Some may call that strength; I call it endurance. The water has always endured and so shall I.

I am not just the raging, tumultuous river, though, or the crushing ocean. I am the refreshing spring rain, the peaceful calm of a mountain lake, sweet as dewdrops, as biting as ice, soft like snow.

I will drown you in my presence; absorb you into my very being. Soak me up. Quench your thirst. You?ll always need more. You?ll want more.

I flurry, I fall, I flood.

I storm, I shower, I surge.
