I'm on the run today, brother. I can't stay in RhyDin the way things are right now. Between Amthy's death and some other more personal troubles I don't feel in my right mind. My relationship with Alex is just the icing on the cake. I don't know what is going on between us, we'll probably never fix it. I know I don't help the problem with some of my more risque behavior, but I think you may understand that better than anyone.
I'm taking all the children with me, there's nothing else I can really do with them. I've rented out a summer estate of some dead lord- Lord Lucas Austene, I believe his name is. It takes about two days to arrive there from RhyDin if the weather is good and it's right on the water. I think we'll all come back refreshed and happy.
Take care of yourself and give Charlotte my love. When I come back I want to hear about a wedding date being set. Don't worry about me while I'm gone, I'll get myself together again...I always do.

Yours is the only visit I believe I could tolerate as I try to isolate myself in leaving. I'm going to get myself back together and I'll come back stronger than ever and we shall hunt Amthy's murdered down to the ends of RhyDin and beyond. Nothing will stop us.
Don't talk to strangers or get into any trouble while I'm gone, who will you blame it on? I'm sure Talomar won't give you any trouble but if he does you just send me word and I'll be back in RhyDin in a second to take care of it for you.
