I think everyone knows the deal with this kind of stuff. Most of it is here for my and your (whoever you may be) betterment in understanding stories and whatnot. If you use it IC without a valid reason (like, your character was told/shown these things) I will probably ignore you. Really, this is just going to serve as an elaboration on Jewell's profile as well as details on NPC characters.

Detailed Physical:
Jewell's frame is more delicate than a normal human usually is as she is mostly Fae. Although usually found in general humanoid size, she can shift into smaller forms. The usual form she wears is that of a small humanoid, delicate and mostly lean; yet her body is not without gentle womanly curves. Her muscles are kept well toned from working out. Her skin tends to be generally closer to fair during the winter months, tanning nicely otherwise as she is often out in the sun.

In the night, one might notice that her skin seems to shine...almost glow if she isn't controlling that particular feature. This glowing tendency is more noticeable when she is in her smaller form.

Her skin is generally perfect, visibly free from scars and other blemishes as she uses glamour to cover these up. If anyone is powerful enough or accustomed to using such magics, they may be able to see through her glamoured appearance. If they do they will notice a whole host of scars: one running across her lower stomach from a c-section, one running from beneath her right ear down across her throat to her clavicle, two matching ones that mar the front and back of both shoulders, a wound on the inside of her right leg from a bullet, countless thin cuts along the tops of both arms, a more recent circular cigarette burn on her left arm, and various other very faint scars scattered across her body from wounds in the past. Her lower arms are of a light skin tone than the upper, this lightness extends like the tongues of flames from fingertips to her elbows.

Faerie Abilities/Skills
One of Jewell's main abilities is the use of glamour. Understood as a Faerie's magical ability, glamour works in several different capacities. First, glamour is what allows Jewell to change her size at will as well as her physical appearance in regards to scarring. Jewell can also use this first manifestation of glamour in her over-all appearance as well as the appearance of objects around her. However, this is decidedly difficult for someone as young and untrained as she is and when she does use her talent in this fashion the illusion can be easily broken. Second, glamour is what gives Jewell her "good luck" and allows her to pass this good luck on to others; included in this is the ability to bless newborn children with good fortune. Third, though Jewell does not exercise this particular manifestation of glamour, Jewell could use her magic to make her totally irresistible to a mortal.

Being a water Faerie allows Jewell to control water in its three forms. She can call to it, pulling it out of the very air and forming it into what she desires. She can slow the molecules, causing water to become ice, or speed them up into steam. She is not beyond using water's more destructive side in a fight.

Jewell has the ability to speak with certain animals (mostly those who inhabit water) as well as objects of nature. Her level of skill in this is rudimentary at best.

She can walk silently in the woods or on the cobblestone streets of a city. Her movements lean towards graceful, like a dancer, especially when she is trying to make them so.

Jewell can fly with or without wings. She'll freely admit that it is easier for her to fly with wings. If the occasion arises where she needs to fly, silver wings will extend from her back in a burst of silver dust. The wings themselves are silver with faint blue veins. When her wings do appear they burn two slits in the back of her shirt; to save her wardrobe she'll often wear low-back outfits.

Other Abilities
Jewell can manipulate mana--pure energy. She can do several things with this energy. The attack she most often uses is that of a simple blast of energy either against someone directly or forced out in a circle around her. This can burn someone (as well as Jewell herself if overused) as well as physically push them away from her. Manipulating mana also allows her to heal others to an extent.

Can speak and write a dialect of Elven.

Just as her appearance and size are flexible so is her body. While her acrobatic skills are not that of a gymnast, she can certainly maneuver herself out of many situations.

Although she used to favor using a sword she now relies on smaller knives and blades that she can keep better hidden on her body--in pockets and small holsters. When she does use a sword it is usual a longsword, of Elvish craftsmanship, or (rarely) a Claymore. She has a small variety of weapos in her home, most designed for her.

Brian Moradin Ravenlock
Age: 8 (September 25, 2007)

Miscellaneous:
Jewell?s second child was named after her adopted elder brother (Brian Ravenlock) as well as the man who helped to deliver the child (Moradin Red), an old friend of Jewell?s without whom both mother and son would have probably died. His full name is rarely used; he goes by Moradin.

Detailed Physical:
About average height for a child his age, Moradin has the build of the fey?slight and some have said bordering on sickly. He is the weakest appearing of all the children, his complexion betraying a frailty. His hair is a darker shade of lavender (violet) than Alexander?s used to be, almost maroon, with bright emerald eyes like his father. The general shape of his face is closer to Jewell?s?as mentioned, he looks very fey?and his ears have the slight point that bespeaks his maternal heritage.

Moradin has the ability to bare wings (although he never does).

Abilities:
His abilities lie in the magical; he is not physically adept at much although he is beginning basic sword techniques in school. He can manipulate energy to an unknown degree and he has a great amount of untapped power within. However, he can become quickly fatigued by use of such magic.

He has the ability to control water, like most of his siblings, plus the rudimentary skills in speaking with animals. He walks as softly, silently, as if he were pureblood-fey.

Personality:
Quiet, pensive, he is a ?wall-flower? much like his father. The only two people he really opens up to are his older sister, Amanda, and his father?perhaps his mother, as well, in his father?s absence.

He absorbs himself in books and fantasy, the world around him. He has a sensitive nature, aware of not only the feelings and emotions of people but things?plant life, animals, etc.?around him.

Although he appears quite solemn, he doesn?t lack joy in life. He plays with his siblings?games of epic adventure. He is a loyal. He doesn?t live for confrontation, like his mother and older sister, as he doesn?t feel blood lust like they do. However, he will take his stand and do so adamantly.

He is becoming more social since being away at school.

Other:
Moradin was sole-bonded to his sister, Amanda, at birth. It was her energy that enabled him to live at all. As such, he is irrevocably connected to her. He can be influenced by her moods as well as feel anything that happens to her on some level (these feelings are stronger for him than they are for his sister). It is possible that this can one day turn into a way to communicate telepathically.

Raven Colista-Ravenlock
Age: 6 (December 27, 2007)

Natural Eye Color: Constantly changing colors except white

Miscallaneous:
Raven is the second of the triplets born to Cher Colista and her husband Ramses. Cher killed herself three months after the triplets were born, leaving them on Jewell?s (who she considered her sister) doorstep. Jewell is raising the triplets like they are her own children, telling them of Cher but not yet revealing that she is their real mother. Cher?s father was Poseidon, a god of the sea, and this certainly has left the triplets with an inheritance of a host of abilities that Jewell is still trying to figure out.

Raven was named in homage to the Ravenlocks, a family that Cher was considered an essential part of.

Detailed Physical:
From Jewell?s perspective, Raven looks heart-breakingly like Gene (Cher?s first son, deceased); he is going to be boyishly handsome. He is close in height to Oz, and therefore taller than Eva Jade, and lean. His hair is black with wisps of white and is kept long enough that it constantly falls into his eyes. His eyes are constantly changing colors, like Cher?s, but rarely turn completely white.

When touched by water she morphs into her mer-form. His scales are a variety of darker blues with some white-silver mixed in.

Abilities:
The least magically inclined of the three, he is still able to swim like a fish and breathe underwater like his siblings. He also can talk to sea-creatures, which he does more than an of the others; he sometimes spends hours on the beach conversing with crabs and seagulls.

Personality:
Although he may not look as much like Cher as Eva he is the most like her in terms of personality. He is completely stubborn and refuses to back down when he gets something stuck in his mind. He is very family-oriented, always trying to be nice to all of his siblings.

He is by far the most mischievous of the three, often leading the others into some trick or other. His current favorite game to play is hiding around corners in the house and trying to surprise everyone as they walk by. It?s obvious, though, when he?s thinking up something because he gets this little lopsided grin on his face.

Kerrick Alexander Ravenlock
Age: 5 (November 4, 2007)
Birthday: November 4
Natural Hair Color: Light blue hair
Natural Eye Color: Green

Detailed Physical:
Tall for his age, Kerrick obviously takes after his father in build as well for he is not petite like his fey mother although far from too bulky for a young boy. He has his mother?s blue hair, falling in waves to his eyebrows. The rest of his features are, again, like his fathers such as his brilliant, emerald green eyes. The only other features distinctly from his mother are his slightly pointed ears.

He does not look at all like his twin sister, Devyn.

Kerrick, like Moradin, also has the ability to bare wings but does not do so.

Abilities:
Kerrick will be absolutely adept with physical and magical fighting, one day. He has the potential for a strong control over the manipulation of mana (inherited from both his mother and father). He can already do basic tricks with water as well as illusionary tricks with glamour. He can fly with or without his wings, although he is rather clumsy at that. He will also be able to heal, although he has not taken much interest in that ability just yet.

A robust young boy, Kerrick loves to fight physically as well. He is constantly wrestling with his siblings and will be starting basic sword fighting and hand-to-hand techniques soon.

Personality:
Loud, wild, and occasionally crazy, as the youngest of all the boys Kerrick is constantly pushing himself to keep up with them. When he plays, he likes to play rough although he seems to know when to tone it down. A bit of a sore loser, he doesn?t take it well when he gets picked on by his older siblings. Kerrick can also be quiet, almost brooding, at times for no apparent reason; usually, though, he is laughing and goofy.

He?s a little bit of a mamma?s boy, having spent less time with his father, perhaps, than some of his older siblings because of a variety of circumstances (including Jewell?s two year absence from RhyDin when the twins were born).
