The villa is located outside the main city along the northwestern coast. The surrounding area is heavily wooded though not lacking neighboring estates and homes. The house can be clearly seen from the main road as it is not hidden behind any iron fences and is situated in a clearing. A small avenue departs from the main road and leads up to the house; it is made up of blue paving stones. Before reaching the house, the avenue branches off to the right, leading to the stables and a green house. To the left of the main avenue is a small fresh-water pond lined by the forest, to the right is a wing of the house. The avenue ends in a circular turn-about with a fountain?featuring a mermaid?at its center.
The house is situated immediately before the avenue with the most prominent feature being the lighthouse tower furthermost to the left, which is attached to the main house. The lighthouse has been particularly designed to meet Jewell?s desires. Although there is a door at the bottom of the base, it is locked and only Jewell holds the key. While the uppermost floor of the lighthouse is made of clear glass and contains both a light inside as well as a small deck surrounding it, there are two levels below that made of a special opaque glass that allows one to see out but not in?the second of these two special levels also has a deck.
