Brian left the Inn in a foul mood. He admitted to himself that he had been a
bit rough on Jewell. He understood she had children and the such, but he still
couldn't get past how passive she became. He knew she had the ability to slow
the Lupin down, and possibly even out right stop it dead in it's tracks... An
yet, she failed to do so. The Demon showed, and all she did was watch while
Moon was enchanted. "Tara is working on getting a weapon to stop it once and
for all." That's what Brian was told, but that didn't do anything for the time
the Demon did show itself before the weapon was created. He hated hesitation in
situations such as that and in truth expected more from Jewell. Maybe he was
asking too much of her, then again maybe she just went soft. He didn't know,
and it bothered him. The fact she said Alex of all people would want to fight
even less than she did shocked him to no end.

Making his way cobblestoned path he smiled to himself. He had to admit it was
sort of fun. Two times against the Demon and then the Lupin. He was off to a
half decent month. Pausing a moment he eyed a set of parents and their child.
The little one couldn't be more than five years old, and was eyeing a toy in
the window of a Shoppe and the look on her face was priceless. He smiled once
more for a brief moment, and pondered if he would be any different if he had
children. Would be still be as reckless as he had always been, would it always
be about the fight and little else? Or would Brian play to be cautious and
careful, diplomatic and courteous? A shake of his head snapped him back to
reality, as he realized it was a moot point. He had no children and therefore
it didn't matter. He fights, and that is it. That's how the money is made,
bills get paid. Yet it still crept into his head as he continued his walk. Was
he simply a person living in the past, or was he afraid of change?

Reaching his destination, he walked into Tailor Shoppe and nodded to the clerk
who was closing up.
"Mr. Ravenlock, good to see you. Something I can do before we leave?" the clerk
had said. He was an older man, and was sharply dressed in a dark three piece
suit. He made his way around the counter and approached Brian and looked at
Brian's shirt and pants and nearly had a fit. "You.. You just bought those! I..
What are we going to do with you?!" he said as he looked to the holes and
tears, along the legs of Brian's pants and shirt. Brian replied with a nod
"Well, we can start by finding me something else, something that can take some
punishment." The clerk shook his head and responded "That was something that
could take punishment. You are too hard on your clothing, this isn't like your
other clothing you use for work. Okay, I can help you... I like you, but you
need to adapt. This place, it isn't the same. Things are more.. Delicate and
sometimes you are like a bull in the proverbial china closet." Brian nodded and
set come currency and a small list on the counter and replied "Yeah, get that a
lot. Also I need a special order.. For work, if you know what I mean." The
clerk shook his head softly and looked to Brian saying "You ask quite a bit of
this old man, Raven. You won't stop then even for a while?" Brian shook his
head and replied softly " I thought about it.. For a half minute maybe. Maybe
when Bri comes back. Then again maybe not. Thanks a lot old timer"
With that said He went to the door and readied to leave.

The Clerk followed and spoke, as he readied to lock the door and said "You
really ought to settle down. I remember that healer woman, what was her name.
She had the twins. Kart, Katrina." "You mean Katharine." Brian said and
followed with "Let's not talk of that, please." As Brian made his way he heard
the last thing the old man said before he turned and walked his own path home.
"You fighters are all the same. Damn everyone else, save you. It isn't about a
hero, or help. It's the fight that owns you all. You really need to look on
that. Look at me, I left it all and look at me now. If I can do it anyone can.
Good Night." The old man went down the road and Brian headed towards the
Building he now resided in. With any luck Briallyn would be home soon, then
again maybe she would take her time and he could have free rein in dealing with
this situation regarding her sister. So much to do and so little time, and then
there was Emma. "Quite a bit on my plate." He said to himself as he walked
home. "Quite a bit indeed."
