Charlotte did have one helluva hangover the next morning, but took Jewell's advice. Well, almost. The asprin helped somewhat, but about ten minutes after it kicked in, she dashed to the bathroom to throw-up. Feeling very far from tip-top shape, she stayed home all day, waiting for Brian. He never came. Still she waited, long into the night. Char fell asleep on the couch, Jean ever-waiting by her side.

The next morning, she felt even worse. Not because of a headache, but because Brian had yet again not returned. Slowly rising from the couch, she noticed that Jean wasn't to be seen either. Where the hell was everyone?

A loud crash came from the opposite side of the house an Charlotte froze. She could barely make out a voice; should she investigate? Hellu no! With everything that's gone on, Charlotte has been scared out of her wits.

The Destroyer has been set loose.

And Charlotte wouldn't pretend that her skills were anywhere near a match to Ren's. One thing that bothered her, though, was that Renna wouldn't destroy her husband-to-be. Not that she wanted that to happen, far from it actually. What bothered her was that instead of just killing him, she urged Brian to give in to his weakness. Renna had given them all five days. Why only five days? Charlotte could only assume that Renna knew she was weakening and she was afraid. She knew that defeat was near and would cause as much destruction as possible in the meantime.

Someone close to you will die on each of the five days.

That's what The Destroyer had said. Charlotte was deeply disturbed and feared for those who were inept strategically to battle. Though, Charlotte knew of at least one weakness of The Destroyer. Jealousy. Could not EVERYONE see that many of her launch of attacks have made have been in attempt to drive a wedge between Brian and Charlotte? Renna was bitter over losing Toby and was taking out alot of her anger on Charlotte. The flirting, the kissing...(an image which was still embedded in Charlotte's mind)...and the lies. Renna was a fountain of lies; spewing forth destruction and pain with only one goal. Chaos.

She'd gained a new name. Death Bringer. Charlotte was disgusted with Renna and vowed to bring her to her knees. She'd find a way to take her down.....but still. She was frightened out of her mind. She'd come here to Rhy'Din to get away from the terror of murder and screams. The battle raged on, ever-present....and never ending.

Moments later, Jean bounded up to Charlotte, head canted to the side. "Jes is back?" asked Charlotte quietly. Her gaze drifted to the hall that led to the other side of the house. The Study. Dashing towards it, she halted in the doorway. The room was a total mess...but held no signs of whatever surprise Jeskola had been making weeks ago.

Of course there was no way to get into this place without making a sound right? Well, wrong. The nexus was as strange as the shadows - they were always there - where there was light, there would always be a darkness... Charlotte did grab her cloak and what was there? A shadow... Though this one did not disappear when the cloak was moved. It did not distort, nor did it... flinch. It was just frozen there...

But the shadows of other things began to change - it was like the the light was moving, but of course, it was not. The shadows seemed to distort somewhat... And they morphed into...

Figures, beings...

Black Monks...

The shadows of Black Monks were displayed 2-D upon the wall, with no features... Just the shape of the cloaks they wore...
Their heads moved and followed Charlotte, of course she may have not had noticed as much - this seemed to happen when her back was turned.

A small creaking now echoed out over her shoulder - somewhere from a spot directly behind her. It was like wheels coming towards her... Something with weight atop of it.

"Charlotte, are you supposed to have guests?"

The Taru, left the trunk where it was and summoned his scythe. His eyes watched the hall carefully as he stepped foward leaving Charlotte a few paces behind him. Something caused his ears to perk a moment, as his eyes opened wide for a moment.

"Charlotte, I don't think we are alone."

Jes reached back and tapped into his mana, and then cast a gravity net upon the bedroom, which would act to slow anything long enough for them to catch sight of what may be waiting, or coming. With that done, Jes reached once more into the mana pool, and cast an flare spell, lighting the room completely.

"Let's see what came to vist you Charlotte."

The shadows were gone and there was nothing moving upon the wall...

In fact, there was one shadow left and that was a strange shape. A wheelchair, and in it, sitting was a form of a child... It's eyes glowing blood red. Much like Emma's used too...

A child's chuckle came from it...

But then, it turned, on the wall the shadow moved... It's wheels creaking as then it seemed to disappear alltogether.
