After Des and Gav left, Brian drifted off to a light sleep. Occasionally he would wake and stretch himself, and change the cold towels for her head. He felt bad for her, she was the spitting image of health and has been reduced to what is nowbefore him in a matter of mere minutes. Brian had never seen anything like this, and for that matter neither did Gav or Des. A very helpless feeling came over Brian, as he new his empathic talent would not do a damned thing for this child. Her first two weeks or so in the Realms and she nearly gets violated by a street urchin, and now this. Brian felt in his heart that woman Sierra had something to do with it. Once the towel was changed and her pulse checked, Brian sat on the floor once more and leaned with his back against the bed and soon drifted off.

After a bit of time, he came awake with a start. A noise from for door caused it all, it looked as if someone were trying the knob. Slowly, Brian rose to his feet and reached for his sword and positioned himself just aside the door and waited. Again the knob turned and the door moved once more, still he waited. Moments passed once more and the knob finally turned, leaning the sword against the wall next to him, Brian crouched and made ready for whatever was coming. As the door opened Brian noted two hushed voices, both female as the first began to make her way inside, Brian reacted.

Grabbing the first by her cloak, Brian shoved her inside the room, and with a swift kick sent the other back out into the hall and closed the door. It happened in a matter of seconds and then Brian was between the first intruder and Dana, his sword held low. The woman crouched low in her cloak and waited and that's when Brian heard a very familar voice.

"Lord Raven, that hurt. Why did you kick me like that. I had a large dinner too."

Which was followed by a knock on the door. Brian shook his head a moment and answered. "Nyu? is that you?"

The woman still crouched on the floor lifted her hood and revealed herself to be Rienna. "Why yes it is us, and we need to talk. It's about that child my Lordling."

Brian lowered the sword and sighed.. Whenever she said "Lordling" it was never a good sign by any means. "Let Nyu back in please, the last thing I need her to do is wake the Death Knight down the hall and Lord knows who else."

Rienna rose and opened the door for Nyu once more, and allowed her inside. Then with a wave of her hand Rienna lit the nearby lantern enough to give them light and not disturb Dana. Moving to Dana's side, Nyu leaned in for a closer look and sighed. "Wow... That's not good. Poor child, Marfa be with you." as a light kiss was placed on Dana's forhead by the Priestess. Rienna nodded a moment and added "There is nothing anyone can do save herself, Marfa be with her indeed."

Brian watched them a moment and set his weapon down, and then made sure the door was secured. "Okay, so what is so important that you had to come all the way out here?"

"The child had left again.. And we have had a mutilated body turn up in town. Just shortly after.

"Well how do you know it is her? I mean hell, how many dead bodies do you think this town can produce in one night." He was defensive and in truth did not want to hear this, especially after the conversation he and Death Knight shared in regards to what would need to be done."

"But M'Lord.. You know we have been watching her. In and out ofthe school, as you requested. Please don't think bad of us, but our concern is a valid one. The Betrayer was felt within the halls again, even Mother has taken notice.

"She has?! Damn, well I knew Renna was lingering.. We have talked on occasion. But still what proof do we have, has anyone seen the child commit this crime? I mean-" Abruptly he was cut off by Rienna.

"After the forest incident we have kept a very close eye on her, and since she has been in class we have also been able to establish distinct renmants that radiate from her usage of magicks. Those renmants have been felt in the area where the body was found. If this is a hoax it is one of the best I have personally seen. We have no reason to lie to you, something is not right. The child is gaining access entirely too early and this does not bode well for anyone, you know what will have to be done if we are correct. Mother has already decreed it."

"M'Lord we really are fond of the child, but there is a dark side that makes yours look like... Well a very nice person. I wish I could speak better on the matter, but I am just a healer and a nanny. Those things are best left to Rienna, but I remember how you once were when you carried it. Please you know we have to do something, this isn't fair to anyone, especially the child. If this gets out, we won't be the only ones looking to deal with it and her."

Brian took in what was said, truly the sisters had no reason to lie to him and if Mother had already spoken this was far from a sick joke. Ayreg's words rang in Brian's ears once more in regards to having to put her down. Would Brian have what was needed to do that? She was only a child, and still in many ways did not act like one. Brian knew some type of action was needed, and knew Charlotte was at her wits end in regards to this, especially after Renna. Personal feelings had to be set aside, Brian had an agreement and if anything showed itself he knew what he had to do. But would anyone else understand? One person dead and how many were to follow. But then again maybe the person deserved it somehow, would that make things better? What it were horrible person? Briasn had killed enough people to know how that went, then again Brian didn't have Darkin and Renna running around inside of him either.

"Alright, please tell Mother I will move on this information. Just give me one day to watch over Dana here, with any luck she will come out of this. At least I hope so, and then I will talk with the child and her 'Mother' and we will deal with it, somehow."

"I will let Mother know, but remember if too much time passes or something else occurs, she will have us act. So please take care of this, in whatever way you can."

The ladies let themselves out of the room. A nod from Rienna and a Sympathetic glance from Nyu were their farewells. Brian locked the door and sighed softly as he watched Dana a moment. "Makes me wish I were in a coma too.. Then I wouldn't have to deal with this at the moment. Well, forst things first my dear. You get better, and then I'll deal with her. Deal? Good."

As he leaned against the bed once more and sat to the floor, and stared ahead.
