Within the Ravenlock house there was a study, well a closed study. Well, a closed and locked study. It also had a sign on the door that read "If you are Brian or Charlotte, stay out!" For a near week this study was used as a private workshop for one of the most feared two and a half foot teddy bear looking battle mages to ever walk any realm. For nearly three there had been no activity in the previously mentioned study. Not since the mage headed back to Vana'diel to begin a journey to Aht Urghan in reference to a pilgrimage. No one even bothered to have a peek into the study, if they had they truly would have been sorry. For this little bundle of battle mage also harbored a twisted sense of humor and the wards around the door would have easily made evident just how twisted the little mage was. So all was quiet on the home front, that was until tonight.

The portal opened in the center of the study, books scattered about the floor, a table was knocked aside, and a small vase shattered. The wards shattered into neon colored pieces which were visible to the eye. Slowly, a shape began to take form. The began to shake a bit more so, making it evident to anyone in the house that something was going on. Suddenly a large trunk exited the portal, followed by a few sacks, a suitcase and a bundle of small weapons. An eerie laugh emitted from the portal as the item tosser made their way through. "I told you One-san, I can come back any time I want to. Now I need to find out why Raven-sama never showed for the pilgrimage. An all they cake they served too!" A muffled voice could be heard replying, for a few moments. "I know I know! Dwyn crossed over too! Grrrr. It's bad enough I had to deal with him at home, do you know how many games of Toss the Taru he played with me!? I mean, it is me afterall." Suddenly the travelers voice took a darker tone. "I know, I know.. We got work to do. I felt it too, don't worry. Well bring him back and take care of it. I can even feel it in this realm. Okay, I am off to work!"

Emerging from the portal, Jes looked around the room and chuckled loudly as the portal closed behind him and the room finally settled down. Opening the door, the Taru leaped back in a scream as as the large face of Jean-Luc the Moor Cat met him head on. "Bad kitty! No treats for you! Find Charlotte for me, I have work to do!" The teddy bear terror of the New Rhy-din Market Square Incident had returned once more.

Wasting no time cleaning the room, the Taru tore through his trunk and sacks and geared himself up. Now I don't know if you have ever seen a two and half foot tall Taru Black Mage suited up in relic armour, but let me tell you it is far from a laughing matter. Okay, you can laugh a little. But the love of pete do not call them cute or make faces at them.. Trust me on this. Once he was suited up, Jes grabbed his scythe and a small pack and headed for the door.

Once outside the mage reached into his pack, pulled out a small black stone and held it above his head, letting it bathe in the light of the moon a moment.

"Fenrir! Under our pact I summon you!"

Waiting a few moments for something to happen, Jes frowned and tried again. Holding the stone high once more.

"Fenrir, I summon you!"

Nothing.. Jes growled to himself and tried a thrird time.

"Fenrir, you ungrateful ^&*%$% *(&^ &^%$$^%@*! I summon you! I got work to do!"

A few moments passed, and suddenly before Jes appeared a circled created of light, it had two sets of runes, one on the inside moving clockwise, the second on the outside moving counter clockwise. Emerging from the center stood a large black wolf nearly four feet tall at the shoulder, he seemed to literally glow all over, and let out a howl like no other as he stepped from the circle and it vanished. Looking at the small Taru, wolf stretched out a moment and shook each of his four legs, and then growled at Jes.

"Why did you call me here? This is not home, I do not have my full potential here. Do you know what I had-"

Suddenly he was cut off with a wave of his hand by Jes. "Listen, we got work to do. I need a ride and you're the fastest thing I could think of, what was I supposed to do right a horse!"

The look on Fenrir's face would have been priceless if anyone were there to have witnessed it, he growled and angrily replied. "What!? A ride!? Do you know what I am Taru? I eat things like you for breakfast.. I cannot fathom this. You are lucky we have a pact, otherwise... Fine, where do we go. Hurry now I want to get back home soon!"

Jes knew better than to goad the Spirit anymore than this. He bowed and slowly hopped on to it's back. "Just head west, and I will guide from there, and thank you. I won't tell anyone of this. Sides, you really think I could ask Carbuncle for this?"

"Point taken, he seems a little full of himself lately, lucky for you I do not have such an ego. Just skill. Damnedable rodents."

With that, Fenrir and Jes tore off towards the west from the Villa as fats as the Spirit could carry, the Taru Terror.
