Jewell was dangerous in her own way. She had known this for years. She was only now beginning to realize just how dangerous she could be and it was pleasing to that little part of her that she would not allow the goodness of her Fae inheritance to influence. She cherished that little sliver of darkness.

She had killed with her extraordinary abilities as well as the more mundane ones that any common mortal could possess- like the ability to shove metal through a person?s heart to end their life.

It was her affinity to water that led her to the realization of just how dangerous she could be. It started with her disgust with cold weather- she couldn?t tolerate it. As much as she loved the snow and ice, she preferred the coolness of the ocean on a hot day.

Jewell had grown up on a very hott planet. The poles were certainly cold enough but the ocean planet was dominated by dry heat. The lack of humidity had never bothered her- she could spend the majority of her time swimming and the palace conditions were temperate controlled for the comfort of the king and princess.

So, the cold was driving her crazy and she hated wearing frumpy layers of clothing in order to keep warm instead of her cute spring and summer outfits. That?s right, this huge revelation had its basis in fashion.

The first step in rectifying this situation was acknowledging that circulation keeps you warm. The better her body?s circulation was the warmer she would be. Circulation was the movement of her life giving fluids throughout her body. Life giving fluids were made up of mostly water and Jewell could control water.

It was all so simple in the end that she had laughed herself silly when she figured it out. All she had to do was control the liquids in her body and speed them up to quicken her circulation. With quicker circulation, she could be warm and when she was warm, she could wear cute clothing again! Genius.

She didn?t realize how dangerous this could be until she made herself pass out when she had too much blood rushing to her head. This was a bad thing and until she got better control over her abilities-say, five hundred years worth of control-she could really hurt someone! Hurt someone. Perfect.

Because of her lack of fine control over her abilities, she could easily kill someone while trying to manipulate their body fluids! This could work in several different ways. She could completely stop their body fluids from moving and therefore cause them to imitate death until they were dead. Or she could simply pull the fluids out of their body causing it to spurt out any orifices.

It was disgusting if she thought about it for too long. Disgusting and exhilarating. Naturally, she could probably hurt herself in doing this to another person. Wielding magic too liberally could always burn her out for a few days or forever- if she took it too far. No, she would probably rarely, if ever, use this particular ability.

Regardless, it was pleasing to know she could do such wicked things.
