In light of recent events, it seems prudent to write a few things down in the event that I am either injured to the point of not being able to tell others that need to know -- or worse, in the event of my death.
As the latter is simply inevitable I have taken up this personal task of a journal though it might one day aid the great Tower of Tar Valon and those who serve it.
It will be self-evident that some things here will be as personal as they are a log of events that must be chronicled but even thoughts or feelings on certain matters might serve the Tower -- no matter how rediculous.

Three weeks ago, I was nearly killed.
This is, of course, not the beginning of such a story to be told but near the tail end of it.
A woman that had the spark of the power of the Once Source was being tracked by me that night three weeks ago, after a long and drawn-out following of her actions.
She had been within RhyDin's realm for almost two years and had been the whisper on the air that had drawn me to the lands after the death of my Warder that I had at the time.
The power the young woman she had within her was so chaotic that there was never any hope of guiding her. She had to be stilled, or killed. Though, for an Aes Sedai to be Stilled is one's prelude to death anyway; normally.
That night I had one of the youths that I pay to run errands and deliver messages follow me to where she was. Of course, he was told to stay at a safe distance. There was the possibility that aid might be needed and he could send for it -- but what wasn't anticipated was my own pride and self-assessment.
I thought that I would be able to see to dispensing with the woman from the realm or from this very existence if I had to. But I had sorely miscalculated this.
She weilded a knife and her mark was through my flesh and between ribs to nearly find my heart by the angle of its point. But the boy was quick on his feet and brought me help.
It would take me days in fever and at the hands of a skilled, elder Healer before I realized what had happened.
I had killed the woman that had held the feral power within her to kill and the strength of it enough the it should have been at least three or four of Aes Sedai to see to the task.
But I am the only known one here, within the boundaries of RhyDin and I had to see to her immediately. It is likely that my present Warder Raytheon felt the pain and near-death that I experienced but as he was out of the realm at the time and the distance was so great --- I will need to ask him to find out.
More care will be taken and, perhaps, just perhaps, the need for a second Warder will be weighed in thought for a time. For even if Raytheon had been at my side that night I believe that more than one would have been needed to successfully fend her off and hold her long enough to have bound her for transport back to the Tower in Tar Valon.
