God?s honest truth. What does God define as truth?

Over and over, Andre pondered the question. God was a subject close to his mind. It was difficult for him to admit it, since he was an atheist.
When he told his father, Vladimir, he told him that he was committing a crime against God.

That he was an abomination. That it was unnatural.

Ever since then, he stopped believing in Him. Science didn?t judge him. But God did.

And so did his father.

The father he used to look up to. The father he loved, once.

The night was still and deafeningly quiet.

No words would fall from his lips. Ransom notes for his redemption were imprinted on the ground beneath the impression made by his leather dress shoes. Even the footprint left behind showed some sort of privilege.

This was the nth night he?s done this. And every night, he inwardly wished.

He wished for something.

Someone or something to take away the decaying guilt that festered. It rotted, and let out a foul stench every time.

He arrived before a door. It looked like it was more fitting to be a safe. A panel slid from the upper center revealing two eyes. Seconds later, the panel shut. As the massive door opened, he lowered his head. Hands went to the back of his head. Fingers fiddled and committed to do a certain deed.

The ribbon was tied in a bow.

Looking back up again, he wore an ornate mask. It was a black and twilight blue mask. Of the design from Venice, it had silver trimming. There was a glossy finish that had faint traces of glitter blessing the surface to make it identical to a breathtaking night sky.

?Black Bird.? That was his alias, here. Other than the mask, he wore a uniform of a tuxedo. Simple design, but of the highest quality imaginable.

A decent house would be the same cost of the suit he wore. His cologne was also of high caliber.

Jade eyes showed, the cut of the mask showing malice and false strength. His eyes showed tragedy, while the mask suggested triumph.

The door was opened, and he walked inside. The night had only just begun. It was time to forget the Family tonight. And remember what he made himself forget when in the presence of the outside world.

The cabaret was underway.
