Nayun Takamine

"Nayun."

The monotone of her sister sent a slight shiver up her spine. For a brief moment, Nayun wished she hadn't even asked her the question. There is a warrior in Rhy'Din.. He is offering me a chance to learn his technique. She could still feel the unease of silence that came off her elder the moment she asked. What is this art of his? and the younger one replied - It is a magic of sorts... The room then fell quiet again.. that was, till those lips spoke her name.

Her Queen, her sister. She turned and gave a toss. Katana arced in air and met with the smaller girls grasp in a catch. "... Sister?" Nayun questioned. Only to watch as her elder turned about and held her own weapon; a short sword. Nayun could tell by it's make that it had only been used for practice. It's edges blunt, unable to cut; but her own? The one held within her young hands was a blade that could easily cut with one, quick stroke.

No response came in the form of words. Instead the girl found herself on guard as the woman advanced onto in the smallest of a second. Loud clash followed. The blunt of her sisters blade pressed well into the guarding katana and showed no sign of retreat. Nayuns arms shook from the force, causing shuttering clicks to come from the false, mechanical arm of her left. All she could do was guard -- she knew no other way. Eyes, dead to the world.. the eyes of her sister; they stared into her own.. and that moment, Nayun felt fear.

Weight continued to press from the blunt blade. Forcing the girl lower and lower till her knee met the ground of the Queens private training room. Then, it was lifted. Strike - she needed to get on the offensive. If she continued to let her sister move freely, it would be her downfall; even though Nayun knew good and well that she had no possibility of winning at all.

The moment you see yourself lose. It's over. -- Seirichis words. She remembered them the moment she admitted defeat within her heart.. and it was true.

Nayun had pushed from the ground in an attempt to meet her sister head on. Instead, she'd find that blunt blade crashing down against her katana once more.. Except this time Nayun would see it. The way her sisters form grew ever so slightly, the way her attire clung tighter, the way her right arm gave the lightest of twitches as she brought down that strong blow.

Shatter -- it's all the katana could do from the force. Folded Adenna steal becoming nothing more than a memory as it broke and scattered about within the air. She lost.. and it came with a heavy reminder. The blunt of that practice blade found Nayuns shoulder and quickly crushed into it. The girls teeth gritted, her eyes welled up with tears.. but it wasn't the pain that hurt the most, it was her pride that cried.

"You have till summer."

Nayuns body collapsed down onto the hard floor while words rung within her ears. Lesson learned.

"Janis." No time wasted. The door to the training room slowly opened to allow the armored knight within. "Yes, my Queen?" Nayon took a moment to place her weapon back onto the wall. "Take her to Mary. See that her shoulder is healed properly." Janis' eyes fell to the fallen girl. They showed no pity. "Understood." Her words matched well when they came to the fallen Nayun. "You're a warrior. Swallow your pain and rise." There would be no help to come from the knight. Nayun would lay there, watching her sister step away from the scene all together. Swallow your pain and rise. -- repeated within her thoughts.

Swallow your pain. Rise. Left palm touched the floor. It struggled slightly while the girl rose. Janis only watched with a stern look of disappointment. "You're an idiot, girl." Words came as they walked along the corridors of the castle. Nayun furrowed her brow. ".. I don't want to hear it." Janis rolled her eyes while gloved hand gave a quick knuckle push against that swollen shoulder. Nayun stopped in her tracks and let out a hiss in pain, one that matched well with the look of anger given to the knight soon after. ".. Why must you be so rude to me..?!" Her voice rose in question. Janis gave a perked brow. "I'm not going to act like I understand completely what happened between you and the Queen, kid.. but I know one thing. Nayon isn't the type to strike without reason. So, for that, you're an idiot." Flash of anger. Nayun wanted to strike the woman.. instead, she turned away and began to storm off with heavy steps. "I've been ordered to take you to Mary, Small-fry. Stop making things difficult." Janis found herself ignored. ".. Tsk."

"My apologizes, your grace." Nayon gave the knight no look. Instead, she continued to meditate within the center of the room. "Your sister's chosen to seek her own aid." Her voice met the quiet woman's ears, but gained none in return. "Nayon." Janis spoke her name; no title - just her name. The woman rose out of her meditation and turned to face the knight. "Yes?" -- "Care if I finish the fight the little miss started?" Nayon stood there. Her emotionless features looking to the full smirk of the woman who held the role as her royal knight, her champion. Most importantly. Her friend.

"Come."

One word. It was all Janis needed to pull her blade.
