Nayun Takamine

"You've ignored my letters, my glances, my words!"

Nayun looked to the young man who looked to be only a few years older than her. Determination radiating from his fierce features while his brow quivered in anticipation as to what would come next. The girl would only counter it with a look of question and a perked brow.

She had no idea what this boy was talking about..

His letters? It's not as if she could read them.. but she had never even received one letter.

Seirichi had. Though once through with looking over them she'd casually discard them into the burning fireplace. Real men don't write letters -- they take action.

His glances? Nayun was sure she hadn't seen him before.

She had, in passing. During the Adenna Ball last summer. Nayun had turned about and began making her way to the open balcony; and during that split second caught the eyes of a well dressed boy peering from her across the room. She didn't think much of it at the time.

Now.. for his words?

A jogging Nayun making her way down the street. Music blaring within her ears, keeping her body psyched for that extra mile she'd felt like running.. and drowning out the voice of that young man who so coolly tried to strike up a conversation as she passed a lit lamppost.

".. I'm through with waiting! So I'll give you something you can't ignore!" She could see it in his body movement. The way his muscles tensed. The way his fingers curled and clenched into tight fists. He intended to fight her. Nayun shifted slightly in her stance and turned to face him fully.

"I'll make you Nayun Coldwater!"

A tradition of Adenna.

One Nayun knew well.

If you couldn't win a woman by words alone..

You could do so by force.

An Adenna woman has no last name till she's married.

Lortz was her surname. But after being adopted into Adenna society;

She was only Nayun.

And she intended to keep it this way.

"Coldwater. A noble name for a noble family. One of the family of knights to the Adennian Royals, correct? I'll have to decline." Cold words. Only added onto by that cold glare. It sent a chill down his spine. A chill that only added to his determination.

"Decline or not. I, David Coldwater, will be your husband by the end of this night."

Nayuns brow twitched then. He intended to fight her. Right here, right now. ".. Fine. Let's see if those fists of yours have any strength behind them." He'd step forward then. She knew it was coming, he was going to indeed show her the power behind his punch. But instead of standing there to take the force of it, Nayun would dip low and allow it to pass over head. Feeling that gloved fist glide across strands of black hair as it flowed lightly behind her drop. Then?

She'd run.

".. Gah..! Don't think you can get away so easily!"

His voice echoed out. Among it whistles and hollers from on looking women urged him on.

"GO GET 'ER, TIGER!"
"SHE'S QUICK AS FU*K SO GO FOR HER LEGS!"

A few of the many that Nayun herself heard as she sprinted away. Sigh.. This was going to be a long night.
