Gypsy Lore

Before she went back to Romania she had stopped in at the Inn, talking with Amelyn, Rayva, and Kyuur. After that the Gypsy went wandering. She felt restless, her feet taking her from one street and down the next with no true destination.

But she wasn't searching for anything in particular.

Aside from a particular shop.

In her hand she carried a dark purple gift bag, letting it sway and hit her leg with each motion of her body. Vera had considered the possible dangers of walking in the early morning, when sunlight was just beginning to give the sky a blush. Everywhere someone had something to say about these murders but no, she would allow nothing that grim to spoil this day.

Still she was tired, from her family and the constant beg of attention she had received once going home, from strange thoughts and petty concerns. And Vera wanted to see Katt but for whatever reason she kept missing her! Oh, the baklava was always there, waiting.

But in the end she would rather see her friend than a box of treats.

At the shop door, after finally finding it, she paused. Loitering.

But still no Katt.

Sighing she smiled at herself, feeling like once again she was playing at being a Fool. She hooked the bag over the door handle and with a twist to her step, walked away.

Inside the bag she had left a blouse much like the ones she sometimes wore herself. It was traditional and very Romany.

She hoped Katt would like it.

The Gypsy whistled to herself on her walk, just an old tune she had heard from the radio.

Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue
Wrap your presents to your darling from you
Pretty pencils to write ?I love you?
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue

There was a card of course!

Merry Christmas Katt.
