Jewell had decided it was time to pay a visit to Kristia at her home and stop leaving their meeting up to chance. She was a little concern for her friend, having not seen her since the day they fought the man-who-eats-flesh, and had quite the amusing story to pass on to her.

Dressing up in a jaunty little riding outfit--appearance was obviously important so people would stop assuming she was a nobody rather than the Empress that she was--Jewell took a ride on out to Breelin Manor. She had to consult one or two people to get the exact location and when she arrived she was very much impressed by Kristia's taste in homes.

She hesitated once dismounting. She was fairly sure that Kristia kept slaves to care for such things as putting her horse somewhere safe but was not entirely comfortable with calling someone out to do so. She left the animal standing a moment as she approached the door and knocked.
