"I think I have everythin'...." Jade gave a nervous stare to her and Claira's bags on the bed. It was very likely that she would have forgotten something with her mind the way it was, but there was the gallent and persistent Dakota right behind her to pick up the things she had missed.

Gallant and persistent?? Like hell!! He was a nervous wreck, but he was managing to put on a pretty good front for Jade, knowing that she was probably ten times as scared as he was. The only sign that he'd given which told he was nervous was the cigarette that he'd lit up a few minutes ago. He only smoked these days when he was nervous or upset, and for him, that was such a huge step in the right direction. He was smoking on one now, however....and it was keeping him calm. He nodded in response to her statement. "Is your dress already at the sorority house? Rhy come an' get it earlier?"

"Nah..." She took to busying herself on the zipper of her make-up bag that didn't seem to want to zip, "Cas did. Didn't want ta take Rhy from the baby fer too long 'r..." She gave a huff as the zipper finally gave way to her will, "nothin'." Jade gave a nod more-so for her own benefit. She didn't look up at him yet, still in her not all there mind, but looked over the room... scanning.

He was standing there in the doorway, watching her pack up everything. For a second, his mind flashed back to the last time she packed her things...except, he'd sort of packed them for her. That wasn't too happy of a night. Tonight was so much different. This would be their last night as singles. This time tomorrow night, they would be Dakota and Jade Steele. He kept his place there, his arms reaching up to hold onto the door frame over his head. He looked like he was already about to go to bed, in a white t-shirt and black boxers. Sleeping would be the best thing he could do tonight. Sleeping kept him out of trouble, and tonight, he was so full of nervous energy, he could have EASILY found trouble to get himself into if he'd truly wanted to. "Baby.....jus' calm down. You gon' be able to sleep any tonight?"

"I might pull one o' yer stunts," a twitch of a smile flashed across her face and spread as her nervous tainted voice tried to sound like his, "I can sleep when I'm dead." A snicker came from her as she looked at him with those jade hues, but she looked back to her clothing bag to zip that as well, "But I guess I'm already dead so I'll get Cas ta knock meh out 'r somethin'." She did that 'magic' gesture of waving her hands around a moment as she glanced up when she went back to her task, "Ya gunna be okay 'ere... all alone...?"

"I'll be fine, darlin'....me an ol' Luke...we gon' be single guys for one more night." He chuckled quietly, and with her back turned to him while she was working, he placed his cigarette in an ash tray that was sitting on top of the dresser, and he approached her, wrapping his arms ever so gently around her midsection. Light kisses were spread along the back of her neck as he held her and swayed with her. "It's finally here, Jade....we're fixin' to get married."

That sweet smile came across her as she swayed with him, hands coming to rest on his as she finished what she was doing, "An' here I thought it was all a dream." That much was true. It was still very... not real. Her eyes fluttered closed as she thought of the day to come. It would be... perfect. Jade's voice pressed out of her throat in a high tight manner, "It's going to be... all I ever wanted... you wanted.."

"Hell, I already got all I ever wanted.....gotcha right here.." And with those words, he pressed her that much tighter against him. "I hope I don't forget my guitar tomorrow! That's like, a total centerpiece to the whole thing!" And he laughed quietly.

Jade gave a laugh with the lightest of jabs to his side, "You best not ferget that thang! How are ya gunna re-win meh over without that!" She gave a playful crinkle of her nose just thinking about it, "It'd jus' 'bout ruin everythin'!" There was a light sigh that followed as she looked out to the black night from the window as he held her snug against him... a place she would be content to stay forever... But not this night, tomorrow held their fate, "... Think I should be headin' out?"

"Yeah, I s'pose so.....problem is....I just don't wanna let you go. Now what do you reckon we should do 'bout that?" But alas, he knew she had to be on her way....because they were gonna do it old school. He would NOT see her tomorrow until she began her walk down that aisle. "I'm really glad that daddy is gonna stand up there with me.." Ah yes, his mom and dad..except Dakota pronounced it "deh-ddy". After going for so many years without seeing them, his beloved sister Aiyana had taken it upon herself to bring them to Rhy'Din for this wedding. Dakota finally got to see them just a couple of days earlier, and he asked his father if he would be his best man. Needless to say, tears were shed, and bridges were rebuilt. Tomorrow would be a proud moment for this family in so many ways.

"I'm so glad he's here with ya too, hun. Ya dun know how happy it made me that ya all patch thin's up," She gave a beaming smile up at him as she snaked free from his grasp. That should have answered his first question on having to solve how he would let go - she'd get out herself. But in all truth, she was proud. He'd get to have his parents, and soon to be her own... her only. For now, her smile faultered and she looked to her bags, "Mind gettin' mine an' I'll get Claira's?"

He slowly nodded, and then picked her bag up off the floor, draping the strap around his left shoulder. A hand reached out to her, and they would proceed on their way to the sorority house, where Jade would spend one last night. "No drunken parties, and no male strippers....unless it's me!" Oh, he just couldn't help but get in at least ONE smart ass comment!! He wouldn't be Dakota if he didn't!

As she grabbed her bags from him, a blazing grin spread like wildfire, "Oh, we'll have male strippers! And they are gunna be HOT. H-a-w-t!" She just laughed until she shook her head, "Good night, Mister Steele. Love ya." With that she tiiiiiip toed to set a kiss to his cheek.

"G'night, Mrs. Steele..." Hell, he HAD to go ahead and say it. He just wanted to hear how the name sounded on her, and he LOVED it. He bent down for her kiss, got one last hug in, and that would be the last time they would see each other for tonight. In just a few hours, Dakota and Jade would finally become man and wife.
