Jade shifted in her sleep, something that never happens. When asleep, she is dead. The only part alive is her mind, vivid images pulsing through it. But she shifted as something beat within her chest. Thump-thump, thump-thump. Her brows furrowed in this sleep. A knife edge sliced her finger, though no one else was in the room and no knife was in sight. Spindles, strands of her blood streamed from her, gathering at the far edge of her vanity. A dark form seeped forward from the circling blood. With a tiny flicker, a man sat daintily in the seat of the vanity, legs crossed, sipping from a tiny tea cup. He was adorned in old timey breeches and a ruffle breasted dress shirt. His short black hair mopped slightly over his jade hued eyes. A mirror image.

"Jadden..."

Thump-thump.

"Gabe...?"
"Oh, that snivellin' lil rat you call a boifriend?" his British accent was thick.

Her jade hues popped open as she sat straight up in the bed. Jade gave a gasp seeing the man. The beating grew faster. She gripped her chest.

"Why so startled, darling?" he gave a cruel smirk, "You might give yourself a heart attack."

"Who... who are you?" she held the covers close to her before glancing to the empty space in the bed next to her. Alone again.

"Who am I? Darling, you should be asking yourself that. But if you must know, I am Christoph, your inside - your heart," he sipped his tea quietly.

She choked as something leaped into her throat, "My heart? I don't--"

He cut her off, "No, you don't have a heart. Is that correct? Your first love, what a dreadful man, cut out your heart out to protect you. You didn't need it anyway. But oh no, he didn't think of it growing back."

Thump-thump. "Growing... back?"

"Yes, it happened quite resently actually, though I've always been inside you since your birth as a vampire."

"So, what you are saying... is.. that... my heart is a... British man..."

"Well, yes and no. What better way to get under men's skin then having a man inside you. Lust, envy, jealousy. I'm not saying you are hetrosexual or some nonsense like that. No no, far from it. You are the prime of a woman. But I give you that push. You naughty lil thing. You've come up well," he gave a cruel laugh.

She brushed feverously, "You make me do those things?"
"Oh no no no. You want everything. Lust is one of your best features."
"And... the British part?"
"Eh, your sire was British. It kinda stuck."
"O....kay, but why are you... out here?"
"To take you over, finally. Your heart is crisply black and it is time to be the real Jadden."
"What?!"

He sat the tea cup down on the vanity and stood, "Yes, time indeed."
"What? What in the world are you talking about? I'm not going back to that!"

He moved forward, "Oh no. You were animalistic, not evil. Lust, envy, jealousy - you will be ten times worse than you ever were."

"But I'm not Evil!" she shouted as she curled inward in the bed.

"Oh ho ho, not evil? You are dumber then I thought. Look within yourself, are you not evil already? Yes, you are. Look at the way you treat your lovers, your friends, your family. You are such a selfish lil whore," he stood before her.

"No I'm!... I'm!... Not..." she gritt her teeth as her words faded.

"Silence now. Be a good girl and don't make a fuss," his hand touched her bleeding finger.

"But I don't want it!" she screamed as he started seeping into her skin.

"Oh, but why not? It'll only hurt for a moment. Think of all the things you could do! The people you can kill! Men to seduce! The joys! And all while I only sit back and watch the show!" he let out a cruel laugh as he turned back into the spindles of blood, now coal black.

Through the gash in her finger, the evil - Christoph was sucked back into Jade. She screamed a blood curling scream. Oh yes, there was pain. As the black blood came back into her and her new beating heart pulsed, her skin turned black as the blood spread. Slowly the blood seeped into her eyes, turning them blacker than a raven's feather. The blood now all through her vains, the beating in her chest stopped - stilling the blood. Her eyes stayed coal black as the rest of her skin went back to its pale color. She coughed a bit before the gash healed shut. Her crimson lips formed a cruel smile that mirrored Christoph's. Jade shoved out of the bed then. She snapped and she was in a vinyl black corset and leather pants. Her black heels clicked against the wood floor as she made her way out of the villa.

"Come, let's find someone to play with... Christoph," a horrible laugh came from her as she slipped out.

He had sensed it, if he were Jedi he would have called it a disturbance in the force.

Over the time he had been here, he had tried to turn Jade into the monster, and time and time again he failed, miserably. And it sucked. Bob instantly sensed the change, he sensed the monster unleashed and the only emotion he could express came out from him, anger. It was supposed to be him who did it. Not her heart, what a silly notion that turned out to be and unexpected.

Oddly the Jade he knew, he had grown quite attached to over the time span he knew her. He had changed quite abit since the day they had first met. No, he saw no mystical light, no there was not a Dr. Phil intervention to blame for this change either. He would have still tried to kill you if you pissed him off, but now he would hunt you down if you hurt one of his friends too, he tried to keep some around when he could on occassion.

Jade, he considered her a friend despite her very strange attraction to the one he hated the second most in all of Rhydin, sometimes he wondered if she did it just to piss him off, well if that was the case it worked. But he figured not everything was about him and maybe it was real, despite his disapproval not even he could stop love, despite all the warnings and evidence he had against it.

Bob would have to do something about this before Jade got into too much trouble. Chances are she would get in so deep into trouble, then somebody would fix her and she would live for years and years in regret, pain and suffering of her self that not even he could attempt to get her out of. He had to help her, if he was introuble, he doubted she would do anything for him, but again this was not about him so if it was not the point, it had no relevance to the situation, if nobody else would do something, he would, starting right now.

He was truly evil, so there were no rules of conduct of good behavior he would have to follow, if people died in order to save her from the monster she had become, so be it it was a risk he was more than willing to take.

He only hoped the stars would shine for her long enough to keep some resemblance to who she really was.

He could not believe he was going to do this, it made no sense to him but it had to be done, somehow he knew this was the only way.

He began to look for her with out a single solitary word to anybody.

With no sign of Jade for days on end, he had come to believe the worst was possible, yes Bob believed that Jade was dead. Killed by some moral crusader vampire killer that would have taken her down while she was falling victim to some random arrogance in thinking she could not be killed. Because Bob did not invade her privacy and read her diary or anything else for that matter, he would have had no idea.

He had failed his friend for the first time when she needed him the most, and Bob slowly vanished into the night and at the same time he would fall into a great depression in the realization that he had indeed failed somebody who he promised they could depend on. He should have been there, he should have tried harder, he should have done something. With no sign of her body he could not bring her back to life. A dollar short and a day late. Story of his life.

Bob just was not a very good friend, or for that matter very good in general he supposed and now this was the price of immortality, living forever was never his problem, but it was just living with the regret of failure that would never ever leave his shoulders.

As sad as it was, life would surely go on, but not for Jade, as she was now missing and very likely dead. An evil vampire does not last long in this city and he knew it better than most. He would go off to some unknown location and wallow in his own regret, his own failure.

Then, Bob was gone.

Jade yawned but shivered as a odd feeling coursed up her spine. It had been happening lately. Ever since... the evil. It had gone away, but a peice was still there. The feeling though wasn't evil or sadistic... it was hopeless and frantic. She shrugged it off like she usually did and rolled over to her nightstand that was home to the many assortied colors of her nail polish. She looked to the nails on her hands, black. She looked to her toes then. Nothing. Jade swiped the black nail polish and decided to match then.

She sat up, pushing her plans for governess away. She unscrewed the top of the bottle of polish and started painting her toes. Jade got to her left foot and noticed something she never noticed before. It was the toe ring that she always wore. She never realized that she always had on. She never took it off. How could she be so blind? It was like a part of her. Jade blinked and leaned to look more closely at it.

She abandoned the polish, though she was half way through already, as she pulled the toe ring off. It took quiet a tug, like it did not wish to be free. Her eyes grew wide as she realized there were words written on it. It was barely ledgable, but she could tell there were words there. She snapped and the words showed up clearly.

Jade hues popped as she read, "Holy hell... It's a product warrenty.... for me!"

Yes everyone, Jade had a product warrenty. For what you ask? Well, that's a secret. And no, she doesn't have implants if you really do feel the need to ask that question.
She read on, "For questions and concerns please contact maker," she paused looking around, "Well, damn. I got questions and concerns. Who and how do I contact this 'maker'. I ain't no damn robot."

Jade focused back on the ring itself, not the words. It had serveral grooves on it and a rhinestone or two. 'Hmmmm', she mumbled.
She went back to reading, looking on the inside of the ring to read the rest, "To contact: Please press each rhinestone five times before rubbing the grooves once. This will notify the maker and not think Jade just stubbed her toe or something," blink, "Hey! I'm not that bad.... Okay... maybe."

She was about to do the following before she noticed something on the ring, "Love, Bob." Her figuritive heart swelled and she hugged the ring, "Good ol' Bob!" Then shifty eyes, "This better not be a fake...."

And Jade pressed each of the rhinestones five times and rubbed the grooves once, hoping it would work.

No display of power, no crack of thunder would herald the coming of the maker of that ring, no Bob would just show up over there in the corner looking as he always did.

"Jade, I thought you were dead!"

He said in a slightly annoyed and relieved tone of voice, it would be easy to hear it too.

"The ring, I told you it would work If you ever needed anything at all, all you had to do was ask for it. I did sense something happen to you, but I could not tell exactly what it was. So I went looking, and with no sign and the rep this city has....well...you know....

He trailed off and waited..

Jade beamed seeing as it worked. Yippee! Then she took his words in. Dead? Like she'd ever have that! She blinked once... twice... three times... Sold!

"What?! You thought I was dead? You of all people should know that I won't die easily... or ever for that matter."

Her jade hues were wide, ring and nail polish still in her hand. She shifted a bit in slight unease as she went on.

"Well, yea, something did happen.... but it's nothing to worry 'bout now, ya know? 'Lil slip up..," her voice picked up, hoping to get throw this conversation quickly and him to miss most of it, "Ah, apparentlyIgrewaheartanditwasevil, ittookoverme. Blahblahblah. Ikilledfivemeninthreenights. GabetookitoutandI'mfinenow, eventhoughtheevilbloodisstillinmyveins. I'llprobablyhaveanotherslipupsometime," she nodded as she slowed back down, "But I'm fine. How are you?"

"You not dying is something of a debate, but one I would rather not see the conclusion to."

"So Gabe is still alive after all this time. I would have thought you would have used your enhanced form and powers to tear him to pieces by now. I have been yet again impressed."

"Me. I am just fine as I always am. I am glad to see you are alright, is there anything else I can do for you? anything at all?"

Nope, bob did not care she had killed anybody. His level of caring for people he did not know was at an absoulte deadlined zero, but he did seem in a much better state of being currently.

"He's barely alive," slight huff and a roll of her jade hues before beaming at him.

She fiddled with the nail polish, unscrewing the top, starting to finish up what was left of painting her toe nails.

"Well.... as you may or may not've heard, I'm runnin fer Gov'nuh.... and I was hopin.... well... that ya might... wanna... help meh..." her eyes shifted away for a short moment before looking back at him, "What do ya say?"

Chaos

Bob just kinda stared and her as the leader, he just could not see it happening, Jade did not seem like the leadership type....But then again he has been surprised by her actions and words more than once, then he blinked.

"Jade, if you want to be the the big G all you need to do is ask. And now that you have asked. How can I help you in this race. I am not exactly good in the world of politics and I usually solve my problems with enslavement and mass destruction and a healthy dose of violence. So, well, sure I will help you in this contest of yours. So who of the ones running against you would you like me to kill?"

His words dripped with sarcasm when it came to killing the other canidates, but it was something he would lose any sleep over, if..well you know he slept at all.

Then he took a sniff of the air. "Jade, it seems you have more money for this race than you are letting on." He could smell the gold of the benefactor, and the slimy musk of something reptilian that seemed to go along with it.

Before Jade could reply.

"This could be fun. But I do not think it should be public knowledge that I am helping you, it could ruin your chances of winning from the beginning. Me being the bad guy and all. But otherwise yeah, I can help you."

Said with a somewhat sinister smile as the wheels in his mind already began to turn with ideas of his usual deviant nature.

That caused, once again, several blinks. She stared at him for a long moment before answering anything.

"I don't want you to kill anybody! I don't fight that dirty! Come on!" a drawn in breath before continuing, "You have a knack for getting what you want... how you want it. I want to know what are some of your ideas on this town, reasonable ones, ya know."

Waves a thought off, "Nothing about enslaving anyone or anything."

She leeeeaned to put away the nail polish, sliding the toe ring back on. She studied him, stroking her chin, rubbing her lower lip with her thumb, "Yes, it does seem I have a benefactor supporting me in my campain. Do you have a problem with me having a supporter?" Mild pout before going on yet again. She gave a small laugh with a smile, "No no, I don't think anyone else has to know besides you and I."

Chaos

"Jade, I was kidding. I would not kill anybody for you even if you begged me....well maybe if you begged in the right way...." He laughed alittle bit, he was in a light and somewhat good mood seeing her alive had lifted his demenor, he was allowed alittle relaxing now and again.

"If you want something, you have to be willing to give something that only seems like it is better than what you want in the first place. Depending on your goals and expectations of this outcome, the first thing you need is supporters, people who can influence others, but people who cannot influence you. To get what you want you must be willing to make offers they can not refuse."

"As for your benefactor, no it just smells like reptile to me is all..."

"Ask any question of me you would like"
