Act 1: Tiny Terror

"Sing it! Nowww!" Claira shouted at Eric, a little index finger pointed up at him as her tiny jade hues glared his way. Her stance was fierce and grounded, the five year old looked more like her mother everyday.

There they were, in the middle of a packed Fangsta. The two were at a stand off with each other. The five year old with wild black locks pointed demandingly up at the blonde male, he holding his own ground before her. It was ridiculous, but this was Claira - daughter of Jade, after all. They were drawing attention, but ya know, what's new?

"Now Claira, Sweetie, you know I can't do that. That's our little secret thing," Eric held up his hands in her direction. Honestly, he didn't want anyone to know that he sang... Ever. Especially the song she was demanding.

"You did it last night! Now siiiing!" There was a tiny stomp from an equally was tiny little Dora The Explorer light up shoe as her tone grew. Funny how the littlest of kids have the loudest of mouths.

"Sweetie," he winced as eyes and heads started going in their direction. This is when he hated being the owner of this place. The roar of the club started to lower as people started listening to them.

"I'll make you do the dance if you don't! And with the funny hat too!"
"But you don't have the ha--"

There was a evil glimmer in those tiny jade hues as the index finger that was pointed at Eric slowly went to her nose. There was a giggle as she poked her magical nose. Thus was the reason why toddlers should never be allowed to have magic, ever. His icy blue eyes grew wide as he mumbled a few choice words. The dance was far worse than singing in any case... especially in public. Hell, he didn't want to sing either. Oh, but the hat... now that was evil. He was going to be sure and burn it later.

"Sooo? Siiiing or dance?" There was a beaming smile up at Eric on those tiny lips. Yes, she could see it in his eyes. She had won. The wonders of this five year old.

There was a heavy groan before he could answer, "Sing."
His blue eyes looked left and right, taking in the people around him. He reminded himself to avoid these people the next time he saw them.

"Yay!" There was a bounce before she giggled and started to bounce around him, "I'll be Barbie and you be Ken!"

Yes, it was that song.

Another heavy groan as a few women around them started to laugh. A hand went to his face, "Great."

"I'm a Barbie girl in a Barbie woooorld! It's fantastic to be plllastic! You can brush my hair and dress me eveerrywhhhere!~"

"Come on Barbie, let's go party," he just barely mumbled.

Claira stopped bouncing and gave him a look, "Louder."

"Come on Barbie, let's go party," his tone grew, but just a tad. More people joined in to laugh.

Het tiny foot tapped, causing Dora to light up again, "Louder!"

"Come on Barbie! Let's go party!" his voice was nearly a shout.

"Ooo Ooo, Yea!" She sang along again, giggling as she started to bounce around him.

Then there was a set of pipes you could hear from a mile away, and they pulled into the Fangsta parking lot. The rest at the club paid no mind to it, their attention back to their conversations after having a good laugh. But Eric and Claira's ears perked. Eric hadn't ever been so glad to hear those pipes. Mortification over! Claira dashed her way through the crows to peek out the window. Though, the window was a bit high for her and she had to jump to look out of it, wild curly black locks boucing everywhere as she did so.

Claira turned around bouncing. She beamed a bright smile as she made it back to Eric, "Mommy is here!"

"Thank God," it was the only thing he could mutter as they both looked to the door.

Act 2: The Pick-Up

Jade pulled into the Fangsta parking lot in her crimson Mustang. Boy did she love her car. She cranked out some tunes as she checked her make-up in the rear-view mirror and followed that up by checking to make sure she hadn't forgotten to put in the car seat in the back seat. Yea, what a time to check. But at least she did! And guess what? Car seat was in place! Go her! She gave one last lip gloss check before she went to shut the car off.

"Your love is a razor-blade kiss. Sweet edge is the taste from your lips.--" Ville Valo was cut off mid-song as the engine was cut.

Jade kicked out of the 'Stang and she shut the car door with her hip. Her black pumps giving a sharp click as she went door-wards. She gave a bright smile and a nod to the doorman Teddy. He gave her a kind smile as she opened the door for her. Jade stepped in and was greeted with a roar of a mix of mumbles of music and hundreds of different conversations at once. A smile found her crimson lips as made a path that she had made a thousand times before, down the stretch of dark, dim-litted hallway before one actually got into the club. There was a soft sigh as her dainty little hand curled around the doorknob. After a moment or two she finally pulled the door open. The wave of noise nearly leveled her, as it did every other time.

She stepped in, crimson lips smiling brightly. Her ears adjusted and she went in further.

"Moooommy!"

A blurr of wild black locks bounced their way to her. She smiled kneeling down to greet her daughter, swiping her up in a tight hug.

"Baby girl! Oh, look at you, you cute lil thang!" she stood, picking Claira up as she did so.

"Mommy mommy! I missed you sooooo much! I have to tell you what Eric and mez have done! I got a puppy! And more toys! And painted nails!" It all came out in a mass of words. Though with the last set of words, Claira waved her tiny fingers in Jade's face. They were blaringly pink.

"Oooh, pretty," Jade held Claira's hand, looking at the nails as they walked towards the bar, "Who did them, sugar?"

"Errriiic!" she giggled.

That made Jade snort. Oh yea, she wanted to see that, "Really now?"

"Yea yea! The first time he was really bad at it... So I made him do it over and over again!" she giggled more.

Jade was speechless as she set her daughter on the bar. All she could do was laugh. As if on cuem Eric appeared from the back carrying too many neon pink bags for a five year old to have for a week long stay and more toys than you could shake a stick at. When Jade saw him she just laughed more. Man, the kid had him wrapped around her little finger. Eric just stood before them, a toy in his mouth and a grim look on her face,

There was another snort as Jade took the Barbie that hung from his mouth, "Need some help, hun?"

He moved his jaw a bit before saying anything, "Nah, I think I'll stand here like an idiot for a while, my dear."

"Well, yer doin' a fine job of it right now, hun," she smirked as she took a few more toys from him, "Come on, the car's out front."

Jade helped Claira off the bartop and held her hand as they walked towards the door with Eric trailing behind them. They could have passed as a family... almost. Jade held the door open for Eric that led to the hallway and Teddy held open the door that led to the parking lot. Jade walked a little ways ahead with Claira to pop the trunk for Eric. She had already started to put Claira in her car seat by the time Eric put one bag in the trunk.

Eric looked over from the trunk as he placed another bag in the trunk. Jade's tush was sticking waaay out as she put Claira in the car seat. He momentarily forgot all his thoughts and just stared. Even the pace at which he was putting the bags away stilled to a nice speed of zero. His icy blue eyes followed her every curve and his head even tilted a bit, long blonde strands of hair loosened their way free. He gulped as sweat formed on his forehead. That perfect moment was lasting waaay too long and he knew it. Slowly but surely he shook from his thoughts. There was a kid in the car or crying out loud. He put the last bag in the trunk and slammed it shut.

Jade stood straight and smiled over at Eric, "Thanks for keeping her, hun."

His brows furrowed. She was leaving? Now? She just got there. "You are leaving? So soon?"

She nodded, even her nod looked rushed. Her jade hues looked over the parking lot as she spoke, "Yea. I was hoping to get back to RhyDin before it got too late so Claira could get settled in and we could talk... Possibly for her to meet Damien."

A blonde brow quirked, "Oh? Who is... Damien?"

She gave a nervous laugh, still not looking at him, "Ah, my new boyfriend."

"I thought you were engaged."
"Yea, I was. But you were right about him."
"And this guy?"
"Much better."

There was a few silent moments before Eric spoke up, "Well," he cleared his throat, "I'll let you girls get on the road." He gave her a weak smile before he reached into the car and gave Claira a kiss on the cheek, "Bye bye, sweetie. Be good for mommy, okay?"

"Bye bye, Eric! Take care of Fluffy for me! I had a real fun time! You do painted nails really goody! Wuv you! I promise to be good," it all came out jumbled again as she hugged him.

In that time Jade had already got in the car and started it.

"I'll see you girls soon. Love you too, my little Princess," there was a soft smile as he went to stand, "Later, Jadden."

"Later, hun," she have him a light wave as he shut the door. Claira waved feverishly through the window.

He stood there waving like an idiot as they sped off. After they were clearly gone, he stoof kicking dirt around. Man, Jade had changed since the last time he had seen her. She was friendly and kind, yet paid no mind to him at the same time. It was scary in a way.
