The sign, a long stemmed pink rose with a delicate ribbon tied round it, was up. Subtle lighting picked out the name painted on the ribbon. A Little Bit of Paradise. It looked right at home on the side of the greenhouse turned floral shop.

It was a good feeling to be starting from scratch with something, and the greenhouse that Audren had inspired her to buy was just the right venue. Its rose patterned stained glass panels alternating with the plain glass ones gave the medium sized structure a nice romantic feel. Kina hoped that feel would inspire many lovers to visit.

It had taken a couple weeks to get everything ready but they were ready to open at last. Kina wheeled the last of the trio of white painted flower carts out to the street in front of the shop. They were filled to the brim with loose flowers in buckets of water. Every kind of flower easily accessible this early in spring, and even a few hothouse blooms imported just for the event.

The finishing touch was a blackboard with the day's special's written on it.

Today it was free chocolates with every dozen roses purchased.
