Three people lingered around the Outback after all others had gone home for the night. One, is a curious minded old man, the second his daughter the Watchwoman and third a relative newcomer to the city of Rhy?Din.

?I know the hour grows late, but perhaps if you can spare the time I'd like to learn more about what this Nef-helium is?? Krusol questioned, completely butchering the name he heard. In due time he might pronounce it properly.

"We are half angel-half humans. I am actually a shadowhunter. Our history is Runes were markings given to the first generation of Shadowhunters by the Angel Raziel to assist them in fighting the demons they were tasked to eradicate." Anastasia offered back a brief explanation in response to the query.

That arm around Rachael?s shoulders flexed for a split second. ?Half.. angel? Does that mean..No no, forget what I'm saying.? Krusol calmly sipped at the lightly sweetened coffee. ?Those runes I saw on your arms were part of your task?? Yes, the well aged man despite all the distractions was an observant one.

Rachael remained silent while sipping her own additive free coffee. The tensing of her father?s arm did not go unnoticed.

"Yes some are them for protection....seeing glamour, giving me balance." Ana leans then she pulls down the jacket show the odd mark on her chest. "This is giving me for protection against demon possession."

Krusol's cheeks burned a rose red. He doesn't make habit of looking at women's chests. Instead he utilized his periphery to make out the darkened markings. ?Demons are an unsavory sort. Protection is wise.?

"Oui, certainment." The Watchwoman voiced her agreement with her father.

"I was trained since I was 12 to be a shadowhunter." Ana said softly, She look down to the table and a soft sigh.

"I am 18. After the death of my parents I couldn't wait to start training." Ana sounded confident about that fact.

"The training I endured began a year younger, and lasted until her current age, P?re.? Rachcael confirmed again with the young woman?s comment.

"I am still training. since I am here, I am trying on my own.? Ana nods, she had her own workout system.

?Mmm.. Must be why you are so strong, resolute and sharp witted, Tenderfoot.? He aimed a smile down to his daughter. ?Training on your own? To hunt and exterminate demons? That sounds counter productive and outright dangerous.

"Oui, it is how I am." Lips twitched for a blink and Rachael sipped her coffee once more.

"I have training activities I have to do." Ana smiled softly. She was been train by the best of shadowhunters.

?These activities include..?? So full of questions, but this is how one learns. Krusol is no different in this regard.

"Strength, endurance, weapon training, studying.? She closed her eyes as she listed what she do for a training.

Krusol nodded along with each of the listed. ?Without a mentor are you certain you are learning anything? In writing, theory or practice everything goes according to plan. In the wild there are so many other variables.?

"My mentor is back home, so I am not, but I can't stop training." She sighs and shakes her head.

?Nor would I expect you to.? Still, though, Krusol's frown held firm. ?I'm far too old and retired from service to offer my aide. Not to mention I haven't the slightest inclination to assist you with development.?
