Sarah stood, amist the hundres of different creatures that battled all around her. All she could do is let her arm which held her sword hang by her side. Violet eyes looked at the creatures. She saw their mouths open, but could not hear the sounds that they made any longer.

Everything moved in slow motion. She could see the elven coming at her, but her arms were too heavy and too stiff to move. Sarah even saw the blade of his sword plunge through her chest, though she felt no pain. She felt the warmth of her own blood running down her stomach. Her left hand gripped at the handle of the sword. Her eyes looked upon the Elven man who looked back at her, stunned as if saying "did I really just do that to you?"

For so long, Sarah had been undefeated since she returned to battle. But it seemed she had given up, finally. She was fighting for evil, but more so, for her sorrow. So many images ran through her mind as she fell to her knees. But, for some reason, out of her four hundred and twenty one years, the Maritime and all of its guests were the longest. She thought of them all. But most of all, she thought of how they treated her like a human. She wasnt a demoness in their eyes. She was their friend. God, if they could see her now. Sarah was happy that they could not. Sarah regretted so much of her life, but felt a since if warmth rush over her at the though of The Maritime.

Finally, she fell to her side. The elven had moved on leaving his sword in the famous Demoness' chest. She could see the "good creatures" were starting to win now. Sarah smiled at this.

Sarah took the sword in both of her hands and pulled it slowly from her chest, the sword making a sucking sound as she moved it. Sarah still felt no pain. She looked down upon her hands, seeing the black blood cover them. Her scales were gone now, leaving the creamy skin of her human form. The only one with her, was tail who squirmed and moved in pain.

She moved onto her back now, struggling to take in air. She gurgled softly as her violet eyes looked upon the blue sky. Her mind was clear, and a smile was upon her face.
