Cinder had proposed to Sarah a few days past, and now she had a ring upon her finger. She loved him, and wanted to be happy with him. But she still had trouble within her soul, and knew she had to deal with these issues.

She left cinder a note, saying only that she loved him, and would return as soon as she could. She asked him not to worry, for all things must be resolved.

Sarah rode Mor through the forest. It had been a long journey, about half a days ride by the time she had reached her destination. The dark magic in the air around her was thick. The sky seemed darker, and the trees were stripped of life.

Dameon stood upon a large hill, looking down at her as she approached. He was a black demon, much taller than Sarah. He had horns atop his head, his wings were streched out, with a large smirk upon his face. Sarah dismounted Mor, and tied his reins to a tree. She approached Dameon, and knelt, bowing her head to him.

"I am hear to fill my promise." She spoke to him in demonic tongue.

"You will not struggle?" He asked

"I shall not..." Sarah responded quietly.

Dameon smiled at that, and walked toward her, drawing his sword. "If you do not wish to be a demon, you shall no longer look it. Even in your human form, you will not have this luxary."

Sarah said nothing, but just knelt before him. She knew this was for the best.

Dameon put a large hand atop her head. Black engulfed them both, which was followed by a bright light that filled the forest. Sarah's hair began to turn from its raven black, to a honey brown. Violet eyes turned completely black, then faded to green. He then took his sword in one hand, her wings in the other. In one fluid motion, he cut them off of her.

Sarah gave a loud scream, and watched her wings fall to the ground beside her. Her promise was filled.

"You are no longer belonging to me, and you may never return here." Dameon walked away from her, never turning back. Sarah had betrayed her race, and was no longer excepted. Not that she wanted to be.

After a few long hours recovering from the pain she had suffered, she mounted Mor, slowly making her way back toward her ranch.

No flying, no violet eyes, no black fire. No anything she used to be able to do.

She had been walking a while now, and it was dusk. She stopped, her put her fingers where her wings used to be. Four hundred, and twenty two years she had them. Now...they were gone.

Tail unwrapped itself from around her wasist, and "looked" up at her. She smiled down at it. At least she still had tail.

She walked until the moon was clearly in the sky. She couldnt see as well in the dark, and that began to scare her. She turned, and began the long walk back to her house.

Sarah began to think about Cinder. He would be worried when he found out what happened. How would she explain things to him? Would he understand?

Once she arrived home, she sat down to write a letter.

Cinder-

I would like to see you soon. I have many things to talk to you about. Cinder, you may not recognize me at first, and i'll explain why when you get here. Im sorry I've been gone a couple days. Please come to my cottage when you can.

I love you. -Sarah

She sealed it in an envelope, and sighed some. She began another letter, this time addressed to Harold.

Harold-

I need to talk a couple things over with you. Your one of my best friends, and you always have solid advise to give me. Im not living where Cinder and I once were. If you follow the trail past those cottages, then take the first trail that branched to left, you'll come to a small valley with a pasture and cottage. Thats me.

Or, if needed, I can come up to the light house.

-Sarah

She sealed that in an envelope as well. She made her way to the post office, which was now quite a ways away, and mailed off the letters. One to the light house, where she hoped Harold would be, and well..the other she hoped the mail man could find Cinder.

The sunrays hit her eyes gently from the window. She was snuggled up against her two blankets, for it was a cold night last night. Her eyes flickered, and after a few long moments of laying there, she sat up, running her fingers through her hair.

Her eyes wandered down to her ring finger, and gazed upon the ring Cinder had given her. It had been at least four or five days since she had seen him, and goddess, she missed him. It had been a long week, and she longed for him.

Sarah made her way to the bathroom. She splashed some cool water on her face, and patted it dry with a towel.

Her hair was pulled back into a pony tail, and she put some chapstick on her lips. She had almost forgotten about last night, until she had spotted her new wings in the relfection in the mirror. They werent the same, and they were feather now, but hey, Ryo had helped her out a lot, and at least she could fly again. Besides horses, flying was her greatest passion.

She shimmied on a pair of jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt with cut outs for her wings. She had to tied the top of her shirt up in the back, so it would cover the rest of her back. Tail swayed a bit as she ate an apple and drank some orange juice.

Suddenly, it hit her. She was...boring. "Look at me" She thought. "Im eating an apple, putting my hair up and doing honest work." She shook her head at herself and headed outside to the horses. The vet had come by, and confirmed that her mare was pregnant. This time next year, she should have a foal to care after.

In another pasture was a yearling she had bought. A buckskin quarter horse. Very pretty colt, and should be promising as a nice hunting horse. For now, she tacked up Mor and mounted him. She rode off into town, toward the market place.
