Entry 256 ? Day of the Everstar
When I study the cleric and her use of magic, I learn more and more of the divine powers that flow from the pantheon of her god and into her. It is through these studies; these observations of Sivanna at work, that I hope to gain a true understanding of the power behind divine magic. Through her, I hope to achieve a true and finally complete understanding of the magics that bind the realms together, that weave the threads of reality and existence into one, coherent multiverse.
Though I?ve noticed the darkness that corrupts her heart, something unexpected to say the least, but fortunate. The spirit that taints Sivanna?s soul is indeed a subtle thing to spot for those untrained in such tasks. I?ve secretly been granting this entity power, in small amounts of course. Something too drastic could cause Sivanna to grow suspicious, and right now I need her to trust me more than her closest friends.
With her recent victory in the Duel of Magic and her newfound title of Keeper of Fire, Sivanna has gained an affinity for the element of fire. There are many possibilities for us to explore, for fire is a useful tool in many situations, the only true limit as to what we may be able to learn through the new training sessions geared solely toward harnessing the raw power of this element lies only within our minds. And Sivanna is a clever woman, to be sure. I have no doubt that she can come up with more than a few unconventional uses for it.
Fire, however, is a volatile substance. It lives, it breathes, it consumes. If Sivanna isn?t careful, the power she?s recently gained will engulf her. She will become irrational, angry, and deadly in a degree that I?d prefer to steer her away from, for the time being. However, one thing that has benefited from this new flow of aggressive emotions stemming from the element is that I can now give even more power to the entity within her, with far less of a risk. She?s too distracted, too angry to notice. This will make controlling her all the simpler.
There are complications of course, her friends are true to her, concerned, and note how she acts so very differently when I arrive. Neo and Alec do not trust me. They may have to be eliminated.
That is a train of thought for another time, though.
