She had wanted to do something for Skyler to make up for not spending the night with him last night, for abandoning him for the Sisters and a long night spent in the WestEnd alone.
But that wasn't why she was creeping into the Cosmo Beach house tonight. She just wanted, needed, to be with him. She needed the affirmation that he was there for her, and vis versa. She wanted to hold onto him all night long, and probably cry her eyes out sometime in the process.
It was early when she got to the house and, surprise surprise, the boys were still out doing their "work." That was fine with her, she knew her way to Sky's room well enough by now and did not mind not running into someone on the way; she didn't even seek out Molly to say hi.
Her shoes were the only thing she took off before climbing onto his bed, that blue sweater--that perfectly matched her natural hair color--and black pants left on. She grabbed one of the pillows, curled up around it as small as she could--a rather poor replacement for Skyler but it'd have to do for the time being--and inhaled his scent. It served to soothe her nerves a little.
Intent on waiting up for him, she tried to keep her eyes open. It was a losing battle. She was weary beyond belief and feeling rather vulnerable and somewhat dirty after her trip to the prison earlier in the day. She had spent an hour trying to scrub her skin clean but it didn't really help the small pit of guilt forming inside. A few tears rolled down her cheek before she was ready to let them go and she shut her eyes quickly against them; shut eyes against the light only ushered her into Dream that much faster.
