Chryrie

The woman Chryrie believed to be Alysia had been back for several days now. However, her behavior had been rather un-Alysia like. Chryrie attributed this to Veighn's influence. There was no telling what the black mage had put the Priestess through while she was held against her will. No way of knowing how it had affected the one she called sister. And so guilt set in even further.

Once the shadow portal between Dark Lake and Rhilshen had been closed, it took Chryrie longer to go between the worlds. This time of extended travel was something she welcomed. It gave her time alone with her thoughts.

The moredhel fae found a way to slip away from the others before she slid into the "in between". The dark grey chaos was comforting to her as she moved between worlds.

If only she had restrained herself a bit longer. Held her tongue more. It was her fault Alysia had been taken. Her fault. Her frustrations and anger at how the black mage manipulated everyone like chess pieces had driven her to lashing out in blind anger.

She should've known better than to lose control.

Her fault.

Eventually she reappeared in RhyDin city, choosing to fly rather than teleport to Dark Lake. The wards had been altered when they left and there was no way of knowing how they would react to her sudden presence.

Her fault.

She had to find a way to help Alysia. She had to find a way to help her be rid of Veighn's influence and return to her normal self. She hoped there would be something in the manor's library to give her some sort of insight.

When she reached the manor she felt the changes in the wards. They were realigning... but to what end? She shook her head to clear her mind of the odd feeling as she went inside.

The odd feelings continued as she moved through to the library. It felt as if someone had been there. Who? It felt like Alysia's presence, but that was impossible. Alysia was in Rhilshen being watched like a hawk.

The fae frowned to herself, then sighed as she chose the books she sought, tucking them away as she moved from the library and out of the manor. There was nobody there. Her guilt was simply making her lose her mind.

Her fault.

Chryrie was always the determined sort. When fueled by guilt, she was near obsessive when it came to reaching her goal.

Her goal was to rid the woman she perceived to be Alysia of Veighn's influence. She was still convinced that was what attributed to the woman's odd behavior.

This mistaken belief lead her to spend much time pouring over books she took not only from her own library, but those from the Dark Lake Manor. And in time, she found enough information to form a plan.

It took days to gather the ingredients, but she managed to get them and create the potions needed to free the Not-Alysia of the non-existent devil-kin influence.

Once the potions were completed, she started to sneak bits of it into the woman's food and drink. She made sure any possible taste would be masked by the stronger flavor of whatever was being ingested. She even managed to sneak it into the blood wines and teas.

Now she just needed to wait and see what happened.
