Aloysius

"Hah! Finally!" Aloysius shouted as he stared up at the dormant volcano which looked very much alive. The wind was really going on. His thin scarf and cape combo danced in the lake breeze as he gazed up towards the top of the immense and beautiful geological structure. He had a sense of peace about him. There was always something about massive objects that put him in his place. Something bigger than himself. It might be the single-handed reason why he was a Dragoon in the first place.

"Dormant, Eh? I'm not quite sure If I buy that.." He consorted with himself; an internal dialogue. "I've been wanting to see this place since I've been in Rhy'Din. That 'ol beggar was right." He weighed out the fact that he'd payed a a few silver coins to be tuned to the whereabouts of Dark Lake.

"I'd say it's worth it!" he sort of half-assed a shout at the volcano. He surmised that it was now time for some sort of exploration. He had brought some cheap fishing gear with him. He wasn't too serious about fishing, really and, lastly, he wasn't even sure if fishing was allowed here. He didn't care much other-wise. He needed a some time to reflect why he was in this whole area in the first place. he had recalled someone a while back saying:

"Now, fishing is a great way to ease the mind!" A random white haired old man came into his mental projector.

He readied his pole and bait and headed over to some of the craggy outcroppings where he figured he'd have himself a nice sit. He found himself a nice spot and sat. He wasn't sure if it was a suitable spot, it seemed like a nice place to sit rather than fish. He adjusted the twin dirks at his side so he could be more comfortable. Not finding a viable position he untied them from his belt and set them aside. He then pulled a small cloth bag out of the over sized side pack on his and took out a writhing worm. He thought "If I were a fish, I'd like this one". He pushed the hook into the soft skin of the worm. He could feel the annelid pulse with pain as the hook went in. He himself cringed as he did this.

"Bet he feels pain just as much as I do...why am I doing this?" he thought. No turning back on this one. He lackadaisically casted then secured his pole in a rocky nook and cast his look not at the water but over towards the Redwoods; just sort of watching the dark spaces between the trees at the edge. He then looked back to his little cloth bag of worms. He was already tired of fishing. He knew now that he was going to give the rest of these worms a proper home...There was more of this area to see, too. First, though, he'd have himself an apple, and he began rummaging through his side back for one. How he enjoyed a good apple. He had a few days ago managed to thieve a good lot of apples from Smith Farm just North of Rhy'Din's city walls. He'd be back there again he figured and, continued rummaging.

(continue on please, if you feel up for it. One of my first posts!)
