Death, for some its an ending... for others... a rebirth.

The Black dragon's body lay ravaged by time, once she had been the scourge of the land, people ran screaming, towns and villages razed to the ground, the people... she hated humans. It was by a human that she had been slain, a knights blade piercing her black heart, she had taken him with her though and the struggle had been a fierce one, both knight and dragon bearing bloody wounds till they descended into the darkness of death. It had been ages since then and a young mage had happened upon the fallen one, books had been written, records studied, he knew of the dark dragon even if it were only in tales told him by his parents. He wanted power... a foolish one he was, three crystals hd been drawn from a pouch at his side and he lay one to each side of the black, the other placed directly in front of her snout, he then began the spell to resurrect the beast, but he'd forgotten a vital part,in his haste he'd forgotten to subdue the creature's mind as one usually would when attempting to capture the animal, this left the mage open and a very upset dragon opened her piercing green eyes, who dares awaken me from eternal slumber.., the mage realized his mistake to late as he backed away from the beast speaking quietly, I Magnus have awoken you... he paused, trying to get his bearing as he spoke the creatures name. I want you to help me gain power Stormshadow.. the dragon sat up, stretching out tattered black wings, her gaze returning to the Mage.. how do you know my name... human... the man replied simply I have studied the texts and heard legend about you and what you have done... perhaps.. we can join forces. She growled, thunder rumbling across the sky as she did, her green eyes back on the mage.. I work alone.. human, besides... she moved towards him, I've a better idea.. a dark grin played upon her snout as she snapped, her jaws sinking into the flesh around the man's throat, he tried backing up, pounding on the dragon's snout but to no availe, with a quick twist, she wrenched the head from his body, leaving the rest of him behind as a warning to those that the dark one had returned.
