The De?laCroix Studio and Gallery is located on the bank of the river. The De?laCroix private dock can be accessed through the side gate, leading to the back yard. This is also the home of Valentine De?laCroix, artist and vampire.

Upon entering the building, you find yourself inside the front foyer of the Gallery. Artwork from various Rhydin residents is hung towards the front, lit to portray them in the manner they should be viewed. Sculptures and statues are placed here and there, creating a pleasant maze of creativity. Valentine?s own works are hung towards the back of the gallery. These are of a darker subject matter, and not for the squeamish. Demons and angels cavorting are present in some, but others, ones done on Earth, are far darker. Valentine had studied the underground culture of S&M, and had captured much of it in her art. Photographs and studies, portraits and an occasional sculpture crowd together in the dimly lit back rooms.

If one were to continue through the back of the gallery, you would find a door marked ?Private?. It is through this door that you would enter the foyer of Valentine?s home. A wrought iron staircase is to the left, leading up to Valentine?s private studio. Directly before you is a large den, or parlor, complete with a large onyx topped wet bar. Dusky mirrors behind the bar reflect the rest of the room; comfortable and fashionable furniture are tastefully arranged, the room decorated in darker colors and various fabrics. Through the sitting room and to the left is a short hallway, leading to a bathroom, spare guest rooms, and a sunroom. Straight back leads to the seldom-used kitchen, and to the right is another short hallway, leading to Valentine?s bedroom and attached bath. Glass French doors in Val?s room lead out onto a porch and the fenced back yard. It is here she has created a Zen-like rock garden and garden of sculptures.

Up the staircase we go, into the studio. A large, heavy door at the head of the staircase is usually locked. It is through here we find Val?s studio. The entire upper floor has been turned into workspace, with the exception of a small bathroom and sitting area in one corner. Windows create nearly all of the four walls, allowing light in from every direction. They are large casement windows, which swing outward. The furnishings are sparse, and the work tables many. Pieces in various stages of completion are spread out into various areas according to the medium they are being done in. The scent of linseed oil and varnish is barely hidden beneath the scent of nga champa incense and candle wax.
