Ammy had felt that something was wrong with her since the revival of her soul. Fleet wouldn?t mention anything about how he revived her, but a glowing homunculus symbol appeared on her inner thigh a month after she was revived. Fearing that she wasn?t really alive, but just a memory in some unholy body, she began researching the subject of homunculi. Her research led her to a plant called a Jade Rose. From there, her memory lapsed in and out of amnesia as she worked with the plant.

Lene, though, was growing rather concerned and suspicious of her mother?s odd behavior in the last three months. After doing her own research in the Rhydin?s brail section of the city library, Lene figured out what Ammy really was. Hell bent on ridding Rhydin of the homunculus, Lene managed to deconstruct Ammy?s left arm during a fight with her. Ammy escaped, confused and hurt.

It was only a matter of time before Fleet heard about the commotion going on. He met with Lene and tried to get her back off of Ammy. He even confessed to knowing she was a homunculus. Lene refused and became upset with her father enough to strike him in the muzzle drawing blood. That strike brought Lene?s disownment. Fleet had her removed from the Den and denounced knowing her.

Ammy, with her arm now repaired, continued on her research to turn her life back to normal.

The Arena, below Red Dragon Inn:

Ammy's paws whispered gently on the stairs down to the arena. Her research with the Jade Rose had come to a sudden halt when she found all her materials confiscated. She did have a small stash of the plant in the cellars next to Arena, as well as a battered note book. She was heading for them. The air felt really cold, but her fur kept her comfy. Breath trailing her, the fog turning to ice in the insanely cold arena. Emeralds look over to see Icesong and a few others. Icesong was bound by chains of ice? Interesting, but she really needed to get to her stash. She was close to unlocking something.

Moving to a stack of crates, the cobwebs a beautiful lacing of ice with the unfortunate spider and icy jewel in the center, adorned a space behind the crate. Ammy batted the webbing aside sending it to shatter on the floor. Crouching, she pried up a small piece of planking. A box lay in a small stow away space. Lifting it up, it creaked, brittle from the cold. Opening the box, she grinned ferally. Beautiful. The vials of Jade Rose serum were intact, if not frozen. She pulled vials out, all six of them, and retrieved the tattered note book underneath of them.

Box empty, she left it on the crates. She moved for the tiny bar the arena had. Reaching the bar, and staying away from epicenter of cold, she sank below the counter top into a easy crouch and began reading her notes. The effects of working with the Jade Rose had given her more cases of amnesia than she cared, but that is why she had note books scattered for her to read. She knew that the Jade Rose may cure her of her problem.

Reading a smeared paragraph, she grinned. "I just need to drink enough serum, and soon, I should align." she took one of the six vials; the clear green liquid was part slush as the room was warming. Popping off the cap, she hesitated. She didn't know if she'd remember what she's doing. Grabbing a pen from her pant pocket, she jotted down that she was taking one dose and the date. "Well, Ammy girl let?s get closer to being sane."

Vas Drel: Floating over to the girl drinking the odd liquid. ?So if you drink all of those, what happens??

Ammy paused before drinking to look at the floating man. "I hope to regain something I've lost."

Vas Drel: ?Your sanity? That seems to be a bit overrated. Who needs sanity, I certainly didn't need it.? Nodding as he spins around a bit in the air.

Ammy Spiritor: "Sanity is a product of what I hope to regain. I have been called Demon Doll, Homunculi, and a thing to be destroyed. I have a fragment of a dead woman?s soul. I just want to have a whole soul, maybe then I won't be sought out like an evil creature."

Vas Drel: ?Hrm, well that?s a predicament. You could always get some friends who have conquered that "evil creature" title. I'm half mind flayer, and that?s kind of frowned upon. I see no problem with you thus far. Then again, I didn't think that bunny could do that to a man's skull, so I guess anything is possible.? He extended a hand. ?My name is Vas Drel, by the way, and if you don't mind, I tend to enjoy formal introductions.?

"Ammy Wolf-Spiritor." she offered a paw to shake his hand. "My daughter, I think she's my daughter, has sought to kill me. I think I died, or at least the woman?s soul I have, died." her mind was a bit fogged from the experimentations with the Jade Rose.

Vas Drel: He shook her paw. ?Well it seems that you have a partial reincarnation, although the seeking to be whole is a decent motivator. Good luck in your endeavors. If you need magical assistance, and I happen to be drifting through, then I'll help you out, free of charge. Consider it a noble act from one ?Evil creature? to another.? He chuckled a bit.

Ammy gave a grin in return, a bit unearthly, but she was sure he wouldn't mind. With that said, she put vial to furred lips and tilted her head back consuming the first dose.

Vas Drel: And with that he would float over to baby ice. ?So you want to kill that guy I take it??

Baby Ice: she watched the man as he floated to her. "Yes."

A green fire burned within Ammy. The taste of mint, pepper, and metal erupted in her muzzle as her nerves twitched firing all at once. Her mind raced as the Jade Rose serum opened her senses beyond her capacity. Her body toppled over. She laid on the floor, behind the bar, emerald eyes wide open, staring into space. Her essence was before a wrought iron double gate with screaming visages cast into it. A cackle is heard in her mind.

Vas Drel: ?Well he seems...? He was distracted by the falling woman. ?I'm not sure that was supposed to happen. Oh dear.? He floated back over to Ammy. ?Umm... are you alright??

Ammy was hearing nothing, seeing nothing but that gate. The Keeper of the Gate opened a small portal and stuck its head out. Decide living was not worth it? Wanting to come back to death? Ammy felt cold before it. "I gave you my ability to create life in exchange for living. Yet, I am this?" she opened her arms to encompass her entire homunculi body. "A shard of my soul. All you allowed me was a shard of my soul?" The words would be muttered from her muzzle. Your offer was the introductory price. Your soul was a down payment. I could have let you through with no soul, no memories, a complete puppet. Do you have something to offer for your soul now? A living mortal maybe? How about your husband? Maybe that little thorn of a daughter that blew off your arm?

Vas Drel: Floats over the muttering one, spinning in a sort of hilarious fashion. ?Well it doesn't seem like you're ok, but I don't want to interfere with the process. What is a half illithid to do... hmmm... Do you mind if I peek into your mind a bit? Just to see what?s going on?? He crosses his arms thinking. ?What a tough decision...?

Ammy Spiritor: "Maybe I will just storm your gate and take it back? We had a deal." Ammy growled. She wasn't hearing Vas, her growl was loud in her mind, weak in the living world though. Deals are only good on paper, but when make a deal with me, I don't have clauses, just claws. You want your soul back, give me barter. And I truly would love to see you storm my gates. Give me a reason to take you completely. The Gate Keeper had a wicked cheeshire cat grin.

Vas Drel: ?Well, since no response is given, let?s just take a peek or two.? He began to try looking into her mind, just a glance or two, to see what was going on.

Gates of Shamballa is what Vas would see, as well as Ammy's aetheral form arguing with a Gate Keeper that seemed to have form yet no form all at once.

Vas Drel: Well that is quite a sight. He doesn't really know how to respond to that. He'll just keep watching for now, listening in on the conversation.

"Can I barter with other souls?" the thought of offering up Lene to the gate was quite appealing. The memory of her daughter deconstructing her automail arm in the Inn three nights back, quite fresh in her Jade Rose laced mind, but something was telling her no. Ah, you want the payment plan. I see. You never cease to amaze me. You have with you an eighth of your soul. Bring me seven souls and you get your whole soul back. It can be in one deposit, or I can hand you back your soul piecemeal.

Vas Drel: After he had made up his mind, he decided to project his form into that quaint little setting. ?Well this is quite the place. Say, gatekeeper man, do you accept souls from others as payment, because I've collected a few. The crowning masterwork of my collection being a necromancer who thought undead were hilarious. Never saw that lich coming...?

One soul, one fragment... the gate keeper paused looking at the new entrant. Does this look like Club Med? She must collect the souls. The taint must be on her. If you want to make a purchase then by all means, we can talk, but her soul is for her to buy.

Vas Drel: He rubbed his hands together. ?Darn, that?s too bad. Oh well, I gave it a shot. Guess I will leave you two to your business, unless you have something to say before I leave your mind alone?? To Ammy.

Ammy?s fingers began to twitch. The serum was starting to ebb from Ammy's blood, breaking down quickly. Her ethereal form starting to fade as she was regaining her consciousness. The Keeper just grinned and waved a sarcastic farewell to Ammy. She blinked once at hearing Vas, then she was sitting bolt upright behind the bar in pain. The serum was highly toxic.

Vas Drel: Well he was suddenly booted from her mind when she sat up, in pain. ?Hey, you don't look so good. Here, drink this. It cures poisons.? Holds out a neon green potion.

Lovely, green for green. She thought in pain. She took the offered potion and swallowed. The taste was slightly better than the serum.

Vas Drel: ?So souls for a soul? Sounds like a swindle to me.? Stating knowingly.

Breathing hard, trying not heave, Ammy thought about it. "It?s sort of an equivalent exchange. I should have seen it coming."

Vas Drel: ?I don't think so. It seems one should suffice for one.? He shrugged. ?That?s how the world works though. May I suggest looking for suicidal people??

"I'll take that under advisement. I was a soul when I bartered to come back to the living. I had nothing to barter really. I've been had." Ammy felt herself grow cold.

Vas Drel: ?Well there is no way to go about it. You know... you could be a thief. I have plenty of souls, and you can't have any!? Said with a wink.

"I'd rather not play it's games. I am more of a force my way in kind of lady." she stood shakily and noted that the earlier commotion had ended.

Vas Drel: He nodded. ?If that?s how you play it, although you might want some more friends before you storm the gates.? He smirked a bit. ?Like I said before, if I'm around, I'll help you out.?

Ammy gave a slow nod. Emeralds fell on Icesong. That was the lady that took Zero away from her. That would have been one soul right there. She shook her head. Ammy rummaged for some mango juice. Finding it, she took a long drink, and then resumed watching Icesong. The keeper said nothing about what type of soul was needed.

Baby Ice: her soul was already someone else. a hand through her blond hair, her blue eyes still closed.

Ammy shook her head again. She took the juice with her and decided to be near a few people. Social atmosphere is what she needed. She needed to stop the soul snatching thoughts, or she would be evil.

Vas Drel: He resumed his floating around, although he wished the excitement of earlier would return. ?How about some evil people? They practically ask for their souls to be taken. And then you can make nice with demons, as they respect people who trade souls.?

A shiver ran from the tip of her tail up her spine to the base of her skull hearing Vas. She took a seat near Icesong and the others, not sure if they heard or saw the events behind the bar. She sipped more juice and remained silently.

Baby Ice: her blue eyes opens, watching ammy.

Ammy gave Icesong a warm smile and small twiddle of clawed fingers like she was some teenage gal pal.

Vas Drel: Well he was bored so he snapped his fingers and was gone in a puff of smoke::

Baby Ice: she waves back.

"So what was with the subzero conversation?" Ammy asked.

Baby Ice: "he wanted to join him."

"Join who?" she asked. Taking a long sniff of the slightly cool air, she smelled Icesong and someone else?s scent lingering on her. Maybe Ammy could get two souls.

Baby Ice: "the dark side,"

" The dark side? Really now? Just how dark?" she asked, a feral grin stretching on her muzzle giving her a bit of an evil touch.

Aries Mournefire: "Pure Evil my dear darkness incarnate......well not that blue fellow no, me on the other hand. Yes." The slow clap for his own descent down the stairs and into the arena watching the figures. He liked observing lately, and soon enough more things would be in his hands it was only a matter of time.

Baby Ice: her blue eyes narrow hearing a voice.

Ammy?s emerald eyes glance to Aries.

Baby Ice: she straightens her back, bring her blue eyes on the man,

Aries Mournefire: As his sandals finally landed on the same level as them he kept staring between the two. "I know I am devilishly handsome but it's still rude to stare." Laughing again as his eyes to the little one she smelt like a dragon. "Now what were you saying of dark sides?"

Ammy rolled her eyes. She'd seen better. Another sip of mango juice, going back to the thoughts of soul snatching.

Baby Ice: she had a bad feeling to this man. "a demon tried to tame me." she stands. she sighs, as she moves to the door.

Ammy stood and headed for the door. She needed souls. Another predatory grin given to Icesong and she left.

Baby Ice: she shakes her head.

~The Red Dragon Inn~

Ammy entered the Inn and moved for a table. A bottle of mango juice in a metal auto mail paw. Soon, soon, the synthetic fur would be done and she could cover up the limb. For now, she sat and thought about how to harvest souls. She'd need her books, but her husband locked all of that away from her. Fen may still have his demon tomes.

sorah alexandros: -she looked to the new entrant and her eyes opened wide before she dove behind the bar.-

Ammy paid no attention to Sorah. She was wrapped up in methods of extracting souls. The gate keeper did say she had to have the taint of soul taking on her. Murder taints oneself didn't it?

sorah alexandros: -she had heard stories of various creatures however attuned as she was to chi she knew a perversion of it when she saw it. it scared her.-

Yejix Zabiru: ::wanders inside, and parks his skinny arse into a lazy chair. He wears a white variation of his military outfit with blue flames, contrasting against his darker blue fins and reddish silver hair, that are slowly turning back into what Yejix Beta, as he has now called the one who was here before 2 nights ago, looked like.::

Ammy rubbed her furred forehead. Killing to regain a soul. Evil to remove evil. Alchemy at its finest.

sorah alexandros: -she cracked her knuckles and stood up gathering chi to herself. she jumped over the bar and the floor boards cracking now as she ran full speed at Ammy which meant a blur to those that could follow the movement. she aimed a punch straight at her head-

Ammy never saw it coming. The punch caught her left temple and spun her off the chair and crashing to the floor.

Yejix Zabiru: "What the fried hell...?"

sorah alexandros: -she rocked back on her heels her fists up.- you are a perversion of the flow of life -she aimed a kick now straight at Ammy's ribcage-

Apocolyptic: whats happeneing? ::he listened, he heard the crash and moved toward it slowly at first as he seemed he knew something was happening as he moved quickly toward the sound.::

Ammy Spiritor: Catch her off guard once, shame on her, catch her twice would be a miracle. Emeralds snapped open hearing Sora. Sensibility left. Left auto mail arm flung up placing hardened steel in the path of Sorahs shin.

sorah alexandros: -she slipped into muay thai and blocked the mail with her shin, she winced a little before adjusting her chi flow into armor. she jumped up driving her knee straight towards ammy's head-

Yejix Zabiru: ::Well, unfortunately, it -is- his business, having gotten him caught up in that particular bit of circumstance. He sighs and *considers* getting up to help.. but this chair is so comfy and his back hurts really bad..Kuro told him he saw Ammy whoop some serious ass, so he decides to just be a lazy git.::

Apocolyptic: ::he shoved sorah out of the way with his shoulder and sighed.:: this is not needed...

sorah alexandros: -she side stepped and offered him a swift kick to the side-

Ammy Spiritor: A quick jerk, too fast even for her own species and she pulled away from her knees impact area. An unearthly growl as she spun on her back snapping out metal talloned claws as well as furred looking foot. Beneath the fur though was battle ready automail aimed for knees or anything weak in reach.

Yejix Zabiru: "Yeah.. this isn't gonna last too long.." -sips from a bottle of scotch he looted from the bar, with his amazing lazy git powers.-

Apocolyptic: ::he almost seemed to feel it as if it already it and he moved a hand down to grab it and waited.:: Stop... enough.... you, on the floor, leave.... now... ::his other hand motioned her to leave::

sorah alexandros: -she had trained for years in martial arts she slipped into akido and offered her opponent a flurry of punches offered in reply to her claws.-

Ammy Spiritor: Ammy took the blows and used the momentum to get up. Another growl from her. A strange popping noise would be heard to those adept in magic like riding an airplane. Ammy just stood there waiting for Sorahs next move.

Yejix Zabiru: "This is sad." -sip, burp- "Nobody's even tried to headbutt anybody. It ain't a fight until someone gets headbutted."

Apocolyptic: enough both of you!! sorah stop.... ::he pleded:: move.... away... calm down... breathe....

sorah alexandros: -she listened to the blind man and calmed down- if i see you anywhere near another living being i swear before all that is sacred i will send you back to the hell you came from

Yejix Zabiru: "I'd like to see you try it kid." ::He was up out of the chair and standing besides Ammy, with a silver-red brow cocked at the brat.::

Ammy Spiritor: Emeralds snapped back to sentience. "You struck the first blow." was all she said. She broke the circle she raised. "What I do and who I am near is not for you to say."

Apocolyptic: ::he offered sorah his hand this time and waited.:: come....

Ammy Spiritor: A glance to Yejix. She sort of remembered the guy, but wasn't sure she trusted him. She stepped away from Yejix, picked up her, and sat down again. She sipped the mango juice and rubbed her bruised left temple.

sorah alexandros: what you are is a perversion of nature -she looked to the man beside and spit at his feet- you're lucky my brother isn't here -she took the blind mans hand and returned to her seat.-

Ammy Spiritor: "Perversion, demon, lover, bitch, I've heard them all." she muttered.

Yejix Zabiru: "And you're some great thing yerself, I suppose? I couldn't give a damn if everybody in the world were homunculi, it's all about their personality and how they carry themselves. I still hold true in my mind that this woman is a brilliant feckin' scientist, and I'm not going to let ya badmouth a good brain. I oughta slap the stupid out of you, kid."

Apocolyptic: ::he placed a hand on her arm.:: you need to learn to control yourself... you wait.... perhaps she is not as bad as you think.... ::he nodded again and moved a hand to the bandages:: i cut these eyes out for a reason, cause i couldent stand seeing the hate and disgust in the world... i did it, because i was tired of seeing the violance go on...

Ammy Spiritor: A look back to Yejix. Scientist? Was that what she was? The potion from Vas was still bubbling out the Jade Rose serum. A little nerve twitch went through her spine.

Yejix Zabiru: "boo hoo. go cry in a bloody corner, emo kid." -he turns around and heads to the bar-

sorah alexandros: i should knock some brains into you, or i could just turn your skull to mush. -she wasn't happy at the moment and took a sip of her tea.- life is precious, i know that and i hate people that make a mockery of it

Ammy Spiritor: Hearing sorah, ammy took another sip of juice. Her mind unclouding briefly. "I was dead. I came back for my husband."

Yejix Zabiru: "If you think you got the stones to do it, go right ahead." -he calls behind himself- "One freebie's all you're getting though before I decide to tear you limb from tendon and eat your flesh for my dinner." -a wicked grin.-

sorah alexandros: i'm going home -she stood and turned, if she stayed here much longer she was going to do as she said.-

Apocolyptic: ::he sighed and rose he was already starting to dislike this place.:: well enjoy your day.... ::he chuckled slgihlty and began to walk away the mechanical dog following him.::

sorah alexandros: -she got up and moved for the door-

Yejix Zabiru: ;;He then looks to ammy with an approving look.:: "That's right. You came back for Fleet. What else can you remember?"

Ammy Spiritor: "Who's Fleet?"

Yejix Zabiru: "Your husband?"

Ammy Spiritor: "Oh." That was the name that had eluded her when Lene went nuts. Another sip of juice. "Seven souls." she hissed under her breath.

Yejix Zabiru: ::Thanking the gods for granting his species sharp hearing, he files away the utterance in the back of his mind.::

Ammy Spiritor: She wondered if another sip of Jade Rose serum would grant her longer time to argue with the gate more. Maybe bring it down? Just slip a paw into your pocket Ammy girl, grab a vial and take a drink. Go on, you know you can haggle the gate down to fewer souls for the remaining pieces of yours. Do..it. Why not? I survived the first dose. She thought to herself. Paw dipped into her pocket and brought out vial number two with clear green liquid. She stood and headed for the ladies room remembering what happened last time. Stepping in she shut the door.

Ammy stared at the vial in her paw. Fishing out the battered notebook she had hid, she wrote down quickly. First vial, gate found, offer made, price set. Second vial to take, hope to renegotiate. Emeralds fall on the emerald liquid. Popping the cap, she grimaced. This was going to hurt like hell again. Ammy took the vial, tipped her head back and took the serum. Her nerves shorted once again, but the green fire wasn't as bad this time. Her body collapsed to the bathroom floor, her bruised left temple hitting the floor. Staring at nothing, she slipped to the aether and the gate was there. Mocking her.

Back so soon? You have a payment yes? the gate keeper asked greedily. "No. I want a lower rate." her muzzle moved mouthing the words faintly. The rate is non negotiable. A soul for each fragment. Seven fragments, seven souls. You better get moving if you ever want to be whole again. And really, try sitting down first. You keep bruising that fine body I gave you. Ammy's ethereal form stomped. "No. i am not going to go around killing just to get my soul back. I want what is mine by right." she clapped paws and in her mind saw herself trying to deconstruct the gates of Shamballa. Touching the gates, she was jolted with energy that tore her existence apart, sending the shreds back to her prone body. That was a warning. Don't come back without any souls. The gates vanished.

Jarred from being ripped apart in ethereal form, Ammy's body curled on the bathroom floor. The wave of nausea from the toxic serum rose in her. She wasn't going anywhere soon. She hoped no one needed the bathroom. Laying there in pain, the room turned black and a white soul was beckoning her to follow. Forcing herself up and puking as she fought the dizziness, she stepped out of the bathroom, emerald eyes slightly glazed as she followed the white soul flitting out of the Outback. Ammy left the Inn and headed in the direction of the outback.
