Ammy?s Eye Com exploded into sound with repeated refrains of ?Incoming Transmissions? voiced by the Decepticon cartoon character Sound Wave. Ammy blearily woke up on the couch, her hands searched for the Eye Com that had fallen onto the floor during restless sleep. Fingers touched the sleek head set and mumbled sleepily, ?Play messages?? She turned over to go back to sleep.

*Messages inbound from Marilla.* Spoke the voice of Sound Wave. *First message: Hey girl, just a heads up. Morry's coming over to house in Den City. Second message: Oh... and I should mention he's not happy. He wants Fleety there, too. No choice involved. Third message: He's the Alpha of you both. You both can't walk away from this. Fourth message: Please show up, both of you. Love you both and be safe.* Sound Wave?s voice ended.

Ammy sat up in a hurry, the sleepiness her depression put on her evaporated hearing the big guy was coming to see them both. Her heart hammered hard in fear. How did Morry find out about this? She rubbed the sleepy gunk from her eyes and groaned. She got up and noticed out of the corner of her eye Myrlene vanishing around the corner of a wall and into the hall. She had a sinking suspicion people have been talking. Well she couldn?t do anything about it now. When Morry made up his mind to leave the space station to visit people for any reason there was no talking him out of it.

She got off the couch and headed for the bathroom and a shower. She shivered a bit feeling a royal chew out was headed her way.

Fleety had left the Rhy?Din realm and entered the sentient realm known simply as Lurky. Lurky was a refuge to the family offered by Aribius and it was a safe haven. It was also the best place a being with command of all magical energy to go when someone didn?t want to explain why half a city blew up from a bout of emotional distress. Shi?d found a small island to camp on, well away from any living being so shi?d not be distracted from searching hir feelings about Ammy and to lick hir wounds from the fight.

A lot had been said that night. So much of it seemed to make sense then during the turbulent emotions, the verbal stabbing and personal assaults of character. Now, as shi sat on a log, a swirling maelstrom of wind and rain reflecting hir inner mood, the facts of what all was said seemed to make less and less sense to hir. Shi couldn?t tell how things had gone so bad and ended up with hir separated from Ammy, holding her ring and questioning hir memories of the marriage.

Hir cell phone, thanks to Ammy?s Magic Net modulator, began to play ACDC?s ?Thunder Struck? alerting hir to messages flooding in. Shi pulled the device out, stared at the number and blinked a little slowly in surprise. Why was Marilla contacting hir? Flipping it open, shi read the text messages.

Marilla to MagicalSpark Fleety, when you get this message head home in Den City. Morry's coming and wants you there. He isn't happy.
Marilla to MagicalSpark And no, Fleety, this isn't optional. If you aren't there, Morry will tear your tail up.
Marilla to MagicalSpark He's the Alpha of you both. You both can't walk away from this.
Marilla to MagicalSpark Please show up, both of you. Love you both and be safe.

Morry wants to talk to us? Is he going to force us to break up for good? Or will he side with Ammy? Fleety sighed.

Shi slowly stood up, the rain swirling about hir came down in heavy sheets now, yet shi never got wet. Shi could stay and not show up, but would that really help anything? Shi had a feeling it?d make things worse. Morry was good in hir books. To piss him off made hir feel like just burying herself in a grave already and acting like shi was dead for the rest of eternity. Looking around at hir little haven shi?d enjoyed for a few days, Fleety rubbed hir neck and trekked for the nearest portal out of Lurky.

The second floor living room, often the family room for the kids of the Spiritor family to play in had been cleaned up, tidied and made free of children. They?d been sent to enjoy time with Grandma Alitia and Grandpa Spiritor out in Den City. Myrlene finished placing the last tray of various snacks upon the coffee table and set up a pot of coffee, several bottles of soda and lots of water. No liquor or peanuts were present at all. She wanted this intervention to work. If her parents split now, she was going to be very upset with them both.

She saw mom walk up the stairs and into the living room. She saw mother stare at her hard but Myrlene said not one word. This wasn?t her show or her fight. She simply indicated to the chairs or couches for mom to sit. Soon Myrlene walked to the entry way of the living room and blocked the exit and the stairs. She was in her ice blue coat of scale mail and had made herself 6 feet tall with a variety of weapons hung upon a belt for a bit of intimidation.

After a few minutes, behind Myrlene, Fleety would tap her shoulder. Myrlene looked back to Fleety and nodded, letting hir through. Fleety saw Ammy and flinched. Shi began to back away and Myrlene cleared her throat, unsheathed her sword and planted the tip with a meaty ?thunk? into the floor. She shook her head at her father, not letting hir pass by.

Fleety swallowed, moved to a chair and would then sit down, across from Ammy. Fleety was simply dressed in a blue shirt and blue jeans. Ammy wore a plain gray shirt and gray jeans. They both stared at each other for several minutes. Emotions flooded their bond link and the tension in the room grew heavy.

While Morry was on his way, someone else completely unexpected would show up at the house. Aribius, wearing black dress pants and a red shirt. He would've been sitting in a chair across the room as well. Often when Aribius showed up he was often there for amusement or maybe to bother people, but not today. He was glaring down Ammy and Fleety with those eerie eyes. He'd give them both a long stare as well.

After a long moment of silence he would finally speak "You know, the crap you both do affects a lot of people. Your children, this Morry that you both like, your mate Mirius and many more. And while I'm about to start sounding like my brother Yaji'is, you both need to stop the crying bullcrap." he said a bit harshly. Then he'd sit up some before continuing, "Do you both even know why you're hurting others? Because they've done so much to help you all, you two specifically. Do you have any idea how bad it was for me to even get Amaretto to help save your family from the knight? The same woman that wants to see you all bleed, helped you. This Morry person, helped you. That Marilla girl that lingers around here helped you. Lene has constantly tried to help you. And yet, you both are just blatantly going to throw everything away."

Though he did look to Fleety, "By the way, you owe me your soul as well, you know. I'd figure I'd be nice and just keep it to Ammy and Mirius, but seems everyone here is just taking everything for granted." But before anyone could get to respond to that he then added a critical note, "Your welcome for keeping Mirius from shooting herself again. You two have no idea how much that woman has bent over backwards for you two trying to make you happy, while you keep secrets from her. If you both love her like you claim you do, you will continue to sit here and wait for this Morry to arrive. If you don't I'll take both of your souls. Which is nice considering what I want to do with you both later." he'd cross his arms and stared at them. Hopefully they'd get the hint even he was being very serious about this event now, too, and that it wasn't limited to just a few people or just themselves.

The appearance of Aribius in the living room had both Ammy and Fleety breaking off their hard stares. Ammy crossed her arms as she heard Aribius and set her jaw in silent defiance at being told anything by the evil deity when it came to her personal matters. Fleety on the other hand no longer stared or even glared at Ammy. Thunder cracked outside rattling the windows, the only note to indicate the turmoil shi felt at the moment.

Myrlene tilted her head slightly as she listened to the start of this hopeful reparation of a union. She remained silent but did lift a hand and would usher a tray of drinks and snacks to rest on a tray table next to Aribius. She'd never budged from the exit and would remain so waiting for the Alpha of all of them, Morry.

Ammy glanced over to Fleety and loosened her jaw. "Still using magic to do your talking for you? You know this whole mess could've been avoided? Oh wait, did you see this too in your future seeing spell? Hmm? Us sitting here like we are drug addicts getting talked to by an evil racoon wannabe?"

Fleety looked up and avoided her eyes to stare at row of books to her left. "Ammy. Just, stop. None of what I saw in the future happened like it was supposed to. The agonies and pain still came just in different forms." Shi said.

Ammy harumphed at Fleety then looked at Aribius. "I didn't start this perpetual torment that has hit everybody. Shi did by trying manipulate our family to avoid the future."

Fleety's ears flattened and shi started to growl a bit. Hail was thudding against the roof and sides of the house causing Myrlene to flap her wings; she set up a large dome of magic to contain the severe weather to the house and spare the rest of Den City her father's emotions.

"Ammy... I wanted to work this out. You. Pushed me. Away." Shi said. "The far seeing spell wasn't the start of this mess, it was just the catalyst." Shi said.

Fleety seemed hesitant to speak further as if shi was holding back some heavy crushing weight on hir shoulders.

Aribius didn't feel insulted any by being called an evil racoon, he had at least accepted his looks. Though he did start to laugh hearing them both and he'd go to nibble on some snacks that Lene left him. "You are an addict, Ammy! You're up to what? 5 bottles of alcohol a day now? I'm racoon wannabe, then you're alcoholic. The former is true, so sadly the latter is, too." he said

Though he did give a long look at Merlin, "Merlin, you never mess with a timeline. Even I can read the future and even so does Ferunoth. Notice neither of us try to alter the timeline. Why? Because not only can there be harsh consequences, but there's also something called false readings. When you're dealing with multiverses and such things tend to get rather misleading. The better course of action is preparing for what will happen and act accordingly, not go and change it."

"For example, Ammy, when you go driving tomorrow and while having your buzz going, try to remember bringing a spare tire. You'll hit some nails someone left conveniently on a road. I won't tell you which road though." Then he looked at Fleet, "That is proper future reading at the very basic level of future readings. Now Ammy will have to choose to whether or not drive tomorrow or be prepared for what happens. If she doesn't go, well, it'll be someone else problem."

While everyone was arguing with each other about who was more problematic, Morry had soon arrived with the help of S'arallo and Marilla driving him to the home. Morry was a large one being well in shape and being eight feet tall, having black fur, red streaks in his fur and looking very close to a wolf. His body was covered in at least khaki pants and a white and green striped shirt. No matter how casual he looked though Morry was not here for relaxation. Who Morry was was also rather important in this scenario though. He was Ammy's squadron captain of a space squadron from a distant space station that Myrlene and even Ammy herself very often worked with. Not only that, but Morry was the Alpha to them as well. Morry was not someone they could turn down.

He moved towards the house with a glare in his eyes, opened the door without bothering to knock and looked around a moment to find where they were all at before moving up the stairs and soon finding them in the upstairs living room. Morry would move past Myrlene, but he was gentle with her. Even if she looked different he knew it was her with that familiar scent. A gentle pat to her shoulder as he'd pass and enter the room with a long, deep growl to interrupt and shut anyone up that may have been speaking. He saw Ammy and Fleety there and that relieved him some, though he saw Aribius. "Who the hell are you?" he asked.

Aribius then replied, "I know Ammy and Fleety very well. Let's just say I have a bone to pick with them about the things they've been doing lately. Same as you."

Morry just sighed, "Well, that's good to know that I'm not the only one phenomenally upset with them." Morry then gave a sharp look at Fleety and Ammy. "You two, same couch. I want to look at both of you at once." he said to them and if either of them argued he would have given a growl that would even seem close to threatening their lives by ripping out their throats. Morry was not in a mood for playing or wasting time and if he had to treat them like puppies he would.

And regardless if anyone still wanted to speak or argue, he wasn't going to have anyone talking over him and if they'd refuse to sit or stay silent to listen he was going to smack them. Morry would glare at either of them though, "For quite a while I've been hearing of the nonsense going on here. I've got Marilla and Myrlene both talking to me and are very worried and it's bad enough those two alone have much, much worse things to worry about than two grown adults crying like puppies because they can't have a simple freaking discussion about their problems like grown-ups. And now Myrlene is having to play Alpha for this freaking house. The woman is already the head nurse and she's been having to deal with a lot of people lately with all that's been going on. She's younger than any of you and she's got way more common sense. Even if she makes mistakes at least she is a grown woman owning up to them and tries to be better next time."

He paused a moment to think of what he was going to say next, trying to find the right words. Morry didn't like doing long lectures for a bunch of grownups, but apparently he had to. "Look, I can only manage to be here for a week completely then I have to return to the station and deal with more crap. I am a hair away from sending this family to live on the station so I can keep a freaking eye on you people and put you in your place every time you do something stupid. That is how frequently you two screw up; for me to actually have to have you within eyesight and hearing range. By the end of this week if I don't see any improvements, I don't care, I'm sending people regardless. You'll have ease of transport thanks to Marilla to come back and do whatever here you feel like." Though then he scoffed, "What am I kidding, everyone's got magical powers and are gods, I'm sure you could just teleport and not waste that poor girls time. She's got better things to do than playing chauffeur every single day."

He'd sigh trying to relax a brief time, but then he continued, "I will be relieving Myrlene of Alpha status in the home. I am not punishing her. She's a very competent, grown woman and she's got my respect for taking on this problem long enough. I'm going to take full control of this situation and deal with it once and for all. And no one start complaining about how Alphas in lupe families work. I am not a lupinossai and I do not give a crap about your little laws. Apparently, your laws don't work well if you idiots can't stop fighting, so now it's going to be my laws. My rules. My authority. I am the Alpha." he said very firmly to them. Morry then moved over to the table with the snacks and took a glass of water to drink to clear his throat and ease it. His voice had so much anger in it that it had gotten a little hoarse. He had no doubt been yelling at people back at the space station before even coming here as well.

After finishing the drink quickly Morry turned to the couple again. He then spoke in a more calm voice, but still held the tone and authority of an Alpha and his seriousness, "I am not joking about sending you all to the space station. The room for the entire family is still there, so it won't be a problem putting you all there. I still may do it regardless for a while because I can't trust you two at all. No matter what I've said or done you two always cause more trouble. Small visits apparently just aren't working with you two. We'll worry about all that by the end of the week." he said. Then he grabbed a chair, moved it closer and then sat in it and stared into their eyes. "You both will tell me exactly everything that you precisely have on your mind this very moment. If anyone lies to me, if anyone tries to start playing the blame game and not own up to their own mistakes, I will smack the crap out of you hard enough to make you lose teeth and you'll be eating through a straw. I am tired of games." He then looked straight at Ammy, "Ammy, you will start. I want you to specifically tell me what has you so upset with Fleety here and why you are acting out. Do not lie to me, Ammy. You've done that crap to me before. You've tried skirting many issues. If I even sense that you are doing it I will hit you. Now, confess what's on your mind." he said and then went quiet for her to speak.

Morry's eyes would stay locked on Ammy's as if he was staring into her very soul. He was looking for a bluff, a tell, a sign that she would've been lying to him in some way or not telling the whole truth and Ammy may very well get the clue that Morry wasn't messing around anymore. He wasn't playing nice with her anymore. There was no option to leave anything out of this conversation unlike the past.

Hearing Aribius, Fleety sighed and kept quiet. Shi'd already known shi made heavy mistakes. The past 5 years had shown that to hir quite painfully. Ammy was about to dig into Aribius for calling her an alcoholic when the sound of the front door was heard being opened and then closed. The house's wards told her it was Morry and she went quiet.

Fleety watched her swallow hard and shivered a bit. The weather outside had turned into a sharp cold blizzard blowing snow against the windows; snow banks rapidly formed outside by the second. Myrlene seemed to wince as if straining a bit to contain her father's emotional magic. She did give a sigh of relief feeling Morry's hand on her shoulder and watched the giant of an anthro wolf move into the room. She felt the situation was safely secured with Morry present that she shrunk to her diminutive 3 foot stature. Her sword was sheathed, a testament to her dislike of having to show force especially in the house. Myrlene drew a chair to her and she sat by the door.

Fleety watched Morry enter and the former Alpha of the house had an immediate change in attitude. Fleety softened into an attitude of submission to someone shi severely respected. The fact that he was here to fix something shi failed to made hir tremble in fear. At the command to sit together with Ammy, shi stood up and with hesitation moved for the couch in front of Morry's chair. Ammy on the other hand was paralyzed with fear seeing Morry. She didn't want to move or get closer to him or Fleety. She knew what Morry could do when this agitated.

Fleety saw her frozen and shi didn't sit. She chose to be a bit compassionate and walked over to Ammy. Shi grabbed her arm and lifted her. She protested in small snarls, but with Fleety using unnatural strength thanks to Emma's augmentations on hir, Ammy weighed little to hir. Shi sat Ammy down on the couch gently and then took a seat next to her. Ammy's fear wavered in the face of anger being touched by Fleety again. She struck at hir face and Fleety simply blocked the blow having been hit in the last argument already. Fleety would stay quiet and Ammy lapsed into nervous stoicism on the couch as Morry began to talk.

They all listened to him and how severe things had gotten. Ammy was looking to Fleety to see how shi reacted, but Fleety just stared at Morry's chest, not matching eyes with the Alpha. Ammy then looked to Myrlene and her daughter shivered a moment feeling like her mother could rip into her at any moment. She returned her attention to Morry when she was suddenly being called out to speak and to be honest. That was a hard thing for her, playing her cards close to her chest so many years in the different fields and jobs she's done and currently doing. She'd risk getting hit to ask Myrlene something before answering Morry.

"Alpha of the household? When did this happen, Myrlene? Why didn't you tell me and why did you speak to Morry about your father and I? Our problems, not yours." She said.

Myrlene, silent and vigil rubbed her forehead a moment. The magical field was a headache on its own and now mom wanted to start in on her. If that's the way mom wanted it, fine, she'll play along with the big dogs.

"Would you have heard me even if I tried to tell you that I took on the mantle of House Alpha? No you would not have. You've been in and out of a depressive sleep not to mention the bottle. Aribius has been correct in calling you an alcoholic. I had to step in. Why? We have a house full of children and people recovering from every form of PTSD. The house needs leadership. Someone to look to as well as a second in command when the Alpha is not present. You two go off for fireworks and only one comes home. The other is not seen for a month now. The leadership vanished and the second in command curls up into her own ball of misery.

I took over because it was needed. I hate leading this house and have no intentions of doing it any longer. I am thankful Morry is relieving me of the stress. This family is such a patchwork of neurotic people it makes herding cats look easy. I did it to protect these fragile, neurotic lives from what Spiritor would do if he caught wind that dad was being a little whiny boy again. As for telling Morry about this, mother, use your head. Your performances during your shifts have eroded into dismal quality. Me, Nicky and Otana have been running around behind you to fix mistakes and to take care of the work whenever you crumble and just sleep. We've been nice in helping, but everything has been noted in your records. If it continued, I'd have had to speak with Morry about correction and possible removal. It's my job to ensure my staff functions well and when they don't, Morry is alerted and we find out why.

Marilla is only looking out for you and the family, mom. She finds this family precious and to be honest, she knows you can be a psychotic bitch some days if you are left alone to your misery. Now, listen to Morry and Aribius, cooperate and try really, really hard to make this work. Oh and another thing, don't hate me for this."

Myrlene stood up and walked over to the couch. She spoke in ancient magic and in small hands formed two collars of crude black metal. Ammy and Fleety began to protest and she shook her head. She latched the collars around each of their necks. "They come off at the end of this meeting. Dad, your magic is too straining for me to hold it much longer and mom, do I need to say more about what you can do?" She left them and returned to her chair and sat down. She looked to the group and would listen now.

The collars were infused with dark magic older than Aribius and it simply made Ammy and Fleety's magic not exist. It didn't block it. It fully nullified it. Ammy stared wide at Myrlene and Fleety fingered hir collar with a look of further humiliation. The storm outside ceased and Myrlene dropped the dome of magic allowing the clouds to dissipate and the sun to shine to clear away the snow.

Ammy looked back to Morry and sighed. "What's on my mind?" She said and rubbed her hands together. She couldn't mess this up. So much was riding upon her to be truthful. She looked to Fleety and sorted out her thoughts then looked back to Morry. She held his stare. To not do so while talking would get her a hit guaranteed.

"I can't trust Fleety and I've become inundated with goddess powers and learning them all. I... hate myself most days for what I've done in my lives and I just... get so damn set in defending myself, wanting things to work my way. I'm stubborn, a liar, a drunk and now emotionally compromised in everything. I was hoping, hoping that the meeting I had with Fleety would be one to bring us close under the fireworks. Alone time that we craved so badly.

I should've kept my muzzle shut asking what happened to our love that we used to have in the old days. That's what started the arguing. The explanations all bled into hate, anger and defensiveness as well as back stabbing. What is on my mind? Everything. Even with Fleety back home, I still mind everything and keep track of everything. Shi tries. I know shi does. I've seen hir do well, but I still cannot get my mind to stay at ease around hir. Shi slept with another male and bore his child and married him and joined into another family. All without me knowing it.

Shi broke my trust and our open marriage rules. That breaking is what has burned the most in me when I look at Fleety. The rest? I Hate Myself!" she snarled the last out, feeling a festering wound open in her soul. "I hate myself." she said a bit quieter and leaned back on the couch. She didn't shed any tears. She wouldn't give Aribius the satisfaction to gloat about her crying.

Morry almost did hit Ammy when she didn't answer him at first, but he did wait to see how Myrlene handled it. He'd even listen to Myrlene alone and he was silently agreeing with everything even she said. To him, Myrlene was just as important and more so being in a critical part of the squadron. And he didn't stop Myrlene either when she went to nullify that magic completely. He knew she was taking all necessary steps possible just as he was himself.

Aribius though did grin seeing those collars on the two of the. "You both look good in collars," he said with an evil grin before adding, "At least Myrlene is being nicer about this than I am. I would've just stripped all your powers away. So, don't fuss and accept Lene's very generous action." he said to them firmly.

When Morry got the chance and letting everyone speak their turn he'd watch Ammy more and not taking his eyes off her. He had almost thought of hitting her, but he didn't. He was seeing she was trying to give the explanation as straight as possible. "Nice to know some old issues never died." Morry said with a roll of his eyes. "Nonetheless, I appreciate the confession from you." he said to Ammy. He was staying calm and attentive now not wanting to miss anything heard as next was also Fleety.

Morry then spoke, "Fleety, I want you now to confess what bothers you about Ammy or in general. Give me the specified reasons that are causing you grief. Remember, no blatant, bias accusations. And Ammy, don't you dare get snippy or backtalk while Fleety speaks." he said giving her a glare. He knew she sometimes had a mouth and knew that's where even Myrlene got it from. He wasn't letting up on Ammy even if he wasn't focusing on her at the moment. "After you both speak I'll come to my conclusions." he did add though before Fleety would speak.

Fleety had to force hirself to look up and into Morry's eyes. He'd see Fleety had gone completely submissive and down several pegs below an alpha at fault. Shi clasped hir hands and spoke.

"Okay. To get this out of the way first. I did try really hard to be the alpha you wanted me to be. I failed. I tried to be the alpha my father wanted me to be and I failed him too." Shi said with a swallow.

Myrlene flicked fingers and a bottle of water would be in her father's hands as well as one for Ammy too.

"What bothers me the most about Ammy... it's hard to explain but I'll try. I honestly want to trust her, Morry. I can't. From the days we found each other, past the marriage and up to this point, she's done things that have come back to bite us hard without telling me about them until after the muudrah hits the fan. This really hasn't been a new issue and it has come and gone repeatedly over the six years. I can forgive her some of the accidents that happened when she protected herself too much, or when lending aid to those in need.

What hurts is when she keeps getting into trouble in cases where she knows she shouldn't. Some examples to think about. She went to a realm to learn Alchemy from people that viewed her as nothing but a freak creature to be killed when convenient. She brought that trouble back here to us as well as stealing a variety of things from that realm in the attempt to 'punish them for the horrible things they did in the name of alchemy'. Another time she submitted herself to serving a Lich King to get her shattered soul back which put her as someone to chase out of the city, the populace would not tolerate a daemon Lupinossai in their midst. I could have collected her shattered soul had she spoken to me about it. She's even actively produced weapons and armor to aid a known drug lord in some crazy claim to earn his salvation back. That aid got her viciously attacked by vampires that lead to the goddess powers she now stresses over. Then there's Mirius. Her mating with Mirius hurts me as much as my mating with Tairen hurts her.

That is not what hurt the most though, Morry. The single point of lost trust has been the hardest one for me to let go. Back when Myrlene was born and just a puppy of a few months, Ammy took her to the local Inn. During her time there, people got rowdy and she took it upon herself to join in the bar fight to settle things. She left our daughter unattended. Unattended in an Inn full of strangers that could have stolen our daughter. Gods... I wish it had been a person that stole her, the consequences and resolutions would have been straight forward. During this fight the Nexus flickered. This Nexus is the odd energies that surround this realm and bring people here from other realms. Sort of like a Bermuda Triangle effect but on people. Everyone in the Inn vanished and came back in a few minutes as the Nexus flickered and spat them into different realms. This is what Ammy has told me and that when they all reappeared, Myrlene was missing. She never came back." Shi said, hir hands trembled from the memory.

"Now, maybe if she'd been with Myrlene they'd have come back together, maybe not, but the fact that she left our child alone to get involved in something that was not her business hurts me. How can I have trust that she will care for and keep our children safe? As it was, she did tell me right away, I came to the Inn and told her to go home. She was a bloody, bruised mess and a bit drunk as well. I ripped through 12 different realms that night, slashing through barriers and searching every realm thoroughly before I found Myrlene and brought her back. The incident was traumatic. My daughter was no longer a pup of a few months but a six year old girl, aged rapidly by the Nexus. I lost 60 years of my lifespan burning through those realms and in the coming months had a heart attack from the strain."

Shi broke eye contact with Morry to look at Ammy. Ammy just stared at Fleety in pure sadness. She remembered all of that all too well. Fleety's hand raised, shi wanted to strike Ammy for being so careless, but lowered the hand and instead drank some water and continued, hir gaze locked back onto Morry's eyes.

"Call me a fool, a failure or a horrible Alpha, but I made sure my kids stayed safe when I watched them. Myrlene may not have had the trauma she suffered had she been safe that day. Instead, she was older, confused, nightmares, magic suddenly increasing and then we got a dark goddess interested in this suddenly powerful young child. I don't need to tell you about that mess. I know Myrlene has disclosed things to you about all of that Morry, and if she hasn't, ask her. I was not present all the time for that series of horror.

It is this build up of mistrust, one after the other that has me distant from Ammy. I love her. Gods know I really love her, but as soon as I trust her and move us forward, she does something without consent and we wind up back to square one. Hell, she went and joined your squadron Morry. Granted, I said yes to that one but what happened? First day of training she's gone, caught up in some galactic mess and rescued in a tortured and broken state. She goes and finds your cousin Nicky and arranges an elaborate marriage to save her and brings her in as another mate. That's been fixed, I know, since Ammy created Dante as his own being and not some Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hide alt of herself.

She's also gone and fell in love with a reindeer named Leroy. I am not against other species and mixed marriage. Don't get me wrong, but it was during a time that we were growing closer then next thing I know she's asking about bringing in another person to join our small trinity of me, her and Mirius. Any she and I get closer, someone new show up in the picture as if I scare her or something. I did take time to think and finally gave my permission. Leroy is not a bad person. He is a solid male in my books that I'd trust with anyone, but what is to stop her from picking up another mate, then another? Leroy was the only one she asked me about. That's one out of three that have happened. I've only failed to tell her about Tairen. I know there's been other arrangements, the bond link we share shows this, but she was honest about those over the link and asked permission when I couldn't be physically present. Maybe it was because she had no way to omit what she was doing. I do not know.

It's the nature of Ammy that disturbs me. She loves to research things. I am okay with that. She loves to make things. I am okay with that. But when she starts making and selling weapons and armor for people outside of the family just increases our family?s chance at being hurt by either greedy customers or those hurt by what was used on them made by her hands. It?s me waking up at nights or in the morning to find her injured, sporting artificial limbs or something wrong with her mind, soul or body that is suddenly on a ticking clock of destruction.

Ammy claims I am not home most of the time. Some days this is true. I have been home solidly every day I can be since Emma put that chip in my head to help my mind. What is not being said is, I am not the one that stays out all day and all night often researching, teaching, running a store, working on a city, carousing at nights with people at the Inn or getting into situations that suddenly has her missing for days or too tired to do things. Mirius and I have done a lot in that house to take care of the family. Myrlene? Gods, I am so blessed to have her as my daughter. She's pulled more weight and responsibilities in this growing family when I and Mirius were already overloaded. When Ammy is home, she will help and does a lot of things, but she's committed on purpose to doing things outside of the home, daily. Oh, and play nurse for you squad is another thing. Now she's a sun goddess?

Should I just let her go, do her thing, 'go on love, be you' while I take care of the whole family with Mirius? Is being a goddess now mean that she's never going to deal with her family anymore? Every turn, something different and new happens to her and I see her taken more and more from us." Shi rubbed hir head in frustration, blue locks of hair being tousled in nervous disarray.

Myrlene watched her father bare all of this in the open and she was stunned. She'd never known shi was so frustrated and worried. She barely remembered being lost as a puppy and this recounting had her memories coming alive clearly. She drew her knees up to her chest, hugged her legs and watched the discussion through eyes dimmed with pain and remembered fear as she sorted out the memories, accepting them as being a part of her.

"And when she isn't getting herself hurt, maimed or neck deep into more duties, she'll often be dealing with depression, stress and burnout from everything so she drinks. I failed there too. I thought I had gotten her to stay dry for 3 years. Guess I was wrong. I came home too many times finding her in her own vomit and Myrlene left alone, scared, staring at her mother and often dirty and not kept clean. Morry, I had to threaten to take my child out of the picture if she didn't sober up. I was going to take our child and break everything off if I found her drunk one more time. It worked, for a while. She sobered, never drank and stayed true her word. I don't know where she started drinking again, but she does drink and I have felt it, here..." Shi tapped hir chest over hir heart. ".. over the bond link that she goes and drinks until she forgets things and has to have someone take her home. What bothers me? What really bothers me?" Shi looked to Ammy.

"I can't trust you!" Shi said.

Shi wiped at hir eyes a little. "I know we agreed upon an open marriage when we ended up away from each other for a little while doing things, but it was only to take someone in for comfort and maybe, maybe marry them if it was truly needed. Now? I feel it?s an open invitation for her to flirt with every guy and girl she sees. You tell me how many people she's been with on that space station? Hmm? I hold nothing against her being with our Alpha, but others outside of our inner circle?" Shi leaned back tired. "I don't know if I have anything left to say. You tell me, Morry. Can you trust her? I sure as hell can't."

The room was silent. Myrlene stared from her seat, wrapped in memories and watching her parents through misty eyes. Perhaps they weren't going to work things out. If she'd been in her father's position, mom would've been left long ago. How did her father have this much patience and tolerance to put up with everything? Hells, shi wasn't, Myrlene realized. That's why they were on the couch with Morry to keep peace. She rubbed her face a bit. The family was severely fubar'd. Quietly, she got off of her chair and stepped out of the room. She was still listening but she couldn't be sure of keeping herself together in the room with so much energy swirling about in the emotions. She leaned against the wall and took long breaths.

Ammy swallowed a few times and just stared at Fleety the whole time shi spoke. Could she smart mouth her way out this? Maybe if Morry didn't deck her and he was faster than her at close quarters fighting. Could she turn this on Fleety as hir being the issue? She had thought she could, but now, she felt a hard cold pit in her stomach as she went over what she had said against what Fleety had said. It didn't take much for her to see the blazing signs in front of her that there were problems with her. She was more to blame than Fleety in this whole mess. She had issues, major ones with a few subscriptions thrown in for half the price. She took a long, deep breath, sighed once and bowed her head. She was at fault and she couldn't avoid the consequences. She looked up to Morry and sat very still, bracing to face her punishment and his decisions.

"Don't think it's going to take a week to fix these problems, Morry. I'm quite sure it doesn't take a god to see that either." Aribius said softly with a sigh. While Aribius did know of all these issues, he did rather hate seeing it all unfold. Morry would just rub his own face thinking a moment. "That is no joke." he responded back to Aribius.

During the quietness while Lene left the room leaving Morry to keep the couple in line, as well as Aribius being there for support just in case, Morry would look at them both and sit back in the chair.. He didn't yell though, or throw a tantrum at them. Instead, he spoke to them in a gentle voice, but with firm reason, "Fleety, I ask you to not blame Ammy for her injuries back when she joined my squadron. It was on my own watch she got hurt. While she has made some situations bothersome, some were not in her control and were under my own orders. I just wanted to clear that right now."

He'd cross his arms while looking at them both seeing them being so broken. This was definitely not going to be something fixed quickly. "I will say that you both should prepare to move to the station soon when I go back. Can bring the kids, too. And as I said, can freely come back here as well to do the duties you have here. It won't be permanent, most likely temporary, but seeing this this is a deep and severe issue it will require me watching you two. It also means Lene won't have to worry if kids end up being unwatched and other things. All needs will be taken care of there."

Morry did stand up and went over and gave them both a short hug and nuzzle on the ear showing he still cared for them and truly wasn't wanting to mean harm to them before sitting down again. "So, Ammy is a failed mate and mother and Fleety a failed Alpha." he said to them. "One is devastating to a family as it is. Both things happening is.. well, might just as well burn the house down with the family in it, because it's not going to survive like this."

He'd pause trying to think of what else to say. This really was a big issue and hard to figure out. "Here is what we'll do. I want you both to take a day or two away from each other. Stick somewhat around the house, no running away, no getting drunk, no starting some stupid drug addiction. You two need to seriously think about this point in your lives. About yourselves and about each other. Your family depends on it. But, all this doesn't just affect you, it affects your kids and extended family. Now, I'm not saying neither of you have tried to be your best. I have seen how hard you both try, that hasn't gone to waste. At least, not yet. "

Morry then leaned with arms on his knees and looking between the two of them. "What's going to happen now is over the course of the week you two are going to be... reworked I guess would be the word. You both have flaws, serious ones, and individually you are both going to have to forgive each other, forgive yourselves, get passed it and make this up to each other in some way. But it's not going to end there. Ammy, I have to agree with Fleety. You're untrustworthy, you give me headaches and I swear you test my patience and you're a godawful mother and a beta on top of everything. You really have no clue how important your position is in the family. So, we're going to have you be taught how to be the freaking mother you should be, a proper beta to the family and how to tell someone the truth. As well as a lot of discipline on not getting into trouble."

He did then focus on Fleet, "Fleety, I don't know how things went wrong for you, but you screwed up somewhere and I can tell one right off the bat." He then leaned in towards Fleety, "You. Never. Ever. Disappear. On the family. You. Are. The. Alpha." he emphasized each word with irritation in his voice. "it doesn't matter how upset you are, I don't care if your feelings are hurt, it doesn't matter if your beta wife is loose and out of control. You are the Alpha. You have to control her. I taught you this critical point when we visited my parents. My father taught you specific tips that even worked on Ammy, yet you go running and hiding away instead of dealing with this."

He'd back away from Fleety and stared at them both that was really turning more into a fierce glare now. "You both have gone against everything you were taught and this is highly unacceptable. So, not only are you both a burden to each other, but you both lack common sense, determination and self discipline." And as he thought about this more and more it did also anger him more as well. At first he thought he could accept it, but the reality of the situation was sinking more into Morry's head every detail they said was starting to annoy him every second.

Very quickly both of them would soon feel a sharp pain on their faces as he'd slap them both, although it wasn't hard enough to knock out teeth as he claimed. Instead, it was a slap hard enough to hurt and get his point across. slap of discipline noting physically that they're both screw-ups. "You two are unbelievable! I'm sticking to me being the Alpha of this house for the remainder of the time. Myrlene will be the beta. You two are at the status of pups because clearly you're incapable of being adults. I won't be restricting you both from leaving the house as I know you have jobs to do and things to take care of in this world, but every single night you both better be here at home and in bed. Doesn't even have to be in the same bed. You two just better be sure you're home or else I'll come looking for you. Is that understood?" he asked them And after a moment he'd sigh. "Now, is there any questions on anything I have said or anything of my intentions?"

Although, Aribus did start to speak, "For the record, Morry, they do sometimes hang out in my realm. While I know this is over your head as you're man of the simple life, but there's a door downstairs that leads to it. I'll help make sure they do return home. Just know that I'll also be interacting with them there and dealing with them both on various issues related and unrelated. Ammy's goddess crap included"

Morry wouldn't even look at Aribius as he was too focused on the couple in trouble, but he did respond at least, "That's fine. Just as long as they return home I don't care. If they go there to skip out on any lessons though you send them back here and i'll deal with them."

Aribius just grinned, "Will do. No problem."

Ammy and Fleety both flinched from the decisions. They're faces stung from the physical discipline. They looked to each other then back to Morry and then to Aribius as well.

"Okay Morry." Ammy said defeated. She'd been assessed quite accurately.

"Agreed Morry." Fleety said. "May I ask how much of the family is required to move? Our immediate family or the extended as well? I can see taking the children with us, but the rest may not adjust well to life on a space station full of technology." Shi said.

Hearing the discussion end and the verdict out, Myrlene stepped back into the room and moved over to Ammy and Fleety. She removed the collars and had the devices vanish. She gave both of her parents a long hug. "For the best. You two need each other, but you both need to really work on it. Really want it. Okay?"

Myrlene then moved over to Morry, bowed then knelt. "Alpha, may I request one addition to their rework as you say. May I suggest the matter of the open marriage be considered and perhaps be closed, restraining them to the official mates they have taken? Would this not help temper their trust and prevent further betrayals? As well as arranging permission for them to see their mates that are not here. Those would be Mirius, Tairen and Leroy. They should not have to suffer due to the actions of Ammy and Fleety. Also, may I suggest as head nurse that we implement bracelets that Glimmer had to wear, modified for this specific situation?" She asked, unsure of the efficacy of her advice.

"You will refer me as Alpha, not Morry. Don't make me slap you both again," Morry stated firmly. He was going to be very strict with these two seeing as being nice before just didn't work. He wasn't taking chances anymore. "As for family, I need to know who is all here." he said to them.

Aribius then spoke, "As Myrlene stated who the mates are, there's also all the kids as well as the parents, the maid Emma and Marilla... different Marilla. Also, while I think Mirius should be there, I also have to deal with her a lot, too. I'm in progress of resolving some things with her. Unrelated junk that'd give you a migraine."

Morry sighed, "Yes, Marilla already told me about her... other self. I don't feel like asking how as of yet either as I got bigger problems to be stressed about." Morry then thought on the arrangement and did listen to Myrlene, too. "Well, I'm more concerned with immediate family that lives in this household. Ammy and Fleety are definitely coming with me, as are the kids. The reason the kids are coming is I know they're going to freak out if their parents aren't around. I'll also need them so Ammy can be taught how to be a proper mother as well as not wanting them to be a burden on Myrlene or anyone else. It'll be temporary for them, too. In no way was I suggesting separating them from their other mates, though. That's also the point of them being able to return here like I said earlier."

"In the meantime, a closed marriage may help as you said, Myrlene. I still need to figure out everything I'm going to be doing with them. To them getting medical bracelets the answer is no. Ammy is going to be learning self-control and no medical bracelet is stupid-proof enough to stop her from trying to get booze or something else stupid. Although, Myrlene, I would like you to do routine checks on her for anything in her system and let me know if she's been drinking heavily or using drugs of any kind. I'll then determine if she needs punishing or not." he said to Myrlene. "And Myrlene... don't be bowing and kneeling to me. My people aren't into that."

He'd take a long look at Ammy and Fleety and was very quiet as thoughts rumbled through his mind. He wasn't really sure where to start with these two, but it was going to have to be done soon to fix their problems. "You two are dismissed. Take a day to think about yourselves and what you've done wrong while I try to figure out what to do with you people first. I need to take time to examine those around the home and figure out other things that have gone on here and who all is in this household and their place and how they feel about what's going on. Need to get acquainted regardless if I'm going to be the Alpha of this house."

Fleety flinched from the verbal correction by Morry. "Yes, Alpha."

Myrlene stood up from her kneel and bow. "Apologies, Alpha. Old habits." She looked to Ammy and Fleety in thought.

"Dad, you go back to Lurky. It'll be safer there and give you time to be you. As for you mother." She walked to the wall near the entertainment area and hit the intercom. "Akira, sweety, prep the hot tub and put in two cups of the soothing lavender beads. I am sending Ammy down to soak. She is not allowed to leave this house."

A perky voice responded. *Okay Lene! I'll get it all ready.*

Ammy blinked and huffed. "I can leave if I wish to. House arrest was never mentioned by Morry."

Myrlene was swift and quick. She was in front of Ammy in a heartbeat and an open hand slap to her mother muzzle. "Alpha prefers to be called Alpha, pup." She said in a simple manner. "Now go soak. You leave the house for a day and I know what will happen. You'll get depressed, possibly drink and the last thing we need is you driving and getting into a wreck. So, you spend your day here. I'll make sure none bothers you much."

Ammy rubbed her muzzle in shock. Myrlene had never struck her before. She was speechless. Myrlene pointed to the stairs in silence. Ammy got up, still rubbing at an appearing slap mark and went downstairs. Myrlene waited a bit and sighed in relief as the wards on the house reported Ammy was in the hot tub with Akira standing guard. Fleety got up quietly, shi would give Myrlene a silent hug, though shi felt like hell and a look of understanding to Morry. Shi didn't say anything and went downtairs, through the portal in the hallway and back to hir little island in Lurky.

With Fleety and Ammy gone Myrlene crumpled onto a chair and rubbed her head. She'd wave a hand and a bottle of aspirin appeared in her hand. She took some with water, closed the bottle and tossed them to Morry. He could take some if he wanted to or he could not. She looked from Aribius to Morry and back for a few moments. "Level with me, Aribius, Alpha.... is there any hope for them to be salvaged, or am I going to have to take care of my siblings and raise them myself?"

She rubbed at a growing headache and appeared to be a little shaken and stressed. Myrlene did take a moment to pull her control back together and then gave a more professional attitude to Morry. It was her Head Nurse attitude of 'I'll fix it or do my best to manage the problem'.

"Alpha, may I suggest you just rest for now, recover from your trip here while I get ahold of the family and bring them all here for you to meet in one go. I'll also compile a list of who all is in the family and whether they are immediate and need to go to the station or if they are secondary and can handle staying here. As to Fleety and Ammy and checking them, they will both get and updated physical and baseline when they get to the station then we'll know if they are getting better or worse.

At some point too, Morry I'll draft up a new marriage agreement for all of them to read. If the agree and sign it, then I can take it in, get it legalized and the marriage will be closed and they can only have the mates they have now. Which means that they'll have to restrict a lot of their 'comfort cuddles' aboard the space station to a select few that are approved."

Myrlene would sip more water and rub her nose. "By the way, would you like something in particular to eat Alpha? I can get it arranged and brought to you. I'll tell you now though, with out without that compiled list of family there are only two people you'll need to keep aware of that may challenge you for authority. Alitia Spiritor and Spiritor, fathers parents. Alitia lives here with her daughter and fathers sister, Akira. Spiritor visits from Lupinoss from time to time. Alitia is often quiet and fierce, like your mother, Alpha. Spiritor though, is... well... he's been looking for any failings in father so he can swoop in and take Alpha status of the family. Outside of them, Mirius and Leroy are the only others with a legit claim to Alpha status. Mirius I am sure won't be an issue between you and Aribius. Leroy, I think just might need to be updated on what all is going on reassured on some things."

She drank more water letting what all she said sink in. She look tired and a bit overworked, but she still had drive to keep things working.

Morry watched how Myrlene was handling things and was glad she was handling it all well. Morry would have likely punched Ammy rather than slap her. He didn't take any medicine though and just sat there trying to calm down once Fleety and Ammy left. "I don't know, Myrlene. It depends highly on what goes on." he said to Myrlene after a moment of silence and trying to calm down.

Aribius let Morry speak before himself, "There's chances, Myrlene. Things look good in the future... but.. things get iffy if one actually tries to predict the future of another god. More of a blur. Might as well have a mortal predicting what another mortal will do. It's going to mostly just depend on whether Ammy and Fleety want this to work or not. It's all I can say."

After hearing Myrlene suggesting him to relax and talking about lists of family he just sighed. "Fine, alright." he said and moved over onto the couch to relax now. "As to them and their mating, Myrlene, I think I'm going to let my mother handle this. I'm not putting a foot down in that area until I hear what my mother thinks. I'm starting to think Ammy may not even be fit for Alpha or even Beta status and my mother may be inclined to agree, but I'm going to wait and see her judgement. If Ammy thinks I'm unhappy about this, she doesn't want to see how unhappy my mother gets. Everything Ammy was taught she basically spat in my mother's face. But my mother knows what it's like to be a female Alpha and even Beta. So, I want to see her side of this all in what to do." he said.

"To the others, I'll deal with them when they come and I'll feed myself, but thank you." he sighed some more. "And who is this Leroy? Ammy's mentioned the name before. And Mirius I can assure you is not Alpha material. She never has been and never will be, Myrlene."

Aribius then replied, "Leroy is a mate of Ammy's. They have a few kids together. So, not all the kids here are just Fleety and Ammy's. You're also dealing with someone else kids at this point."

Morry just sighed and rubbed the side of his face with a paw stressing out over that as well now. "Why do people want to have kids with a woman that doesn't raise said kids." he said. After a moment, "Lene, can just let those kids be with that father. Just for the sake of safety. Bad enough I don't trust that woman as it is. At this point I'm surprised she hasn't put a knife through anyone's heart. But, Lene, I know you know everyone around here. I'll take the brunt of any force, but I am looking to you to help me out on this to make things a s comfortable as possible, because as you know my people are rather forceful at times."

Myrlene would sigh then nod. "Okay. I'll hang on to hope and I'll at your disposal Morry."

She sipped more water thinking about Ammy and Leroy's children. "As to Leroy's children, that is, Jake and Mabel, the other child is Ruby, my youngest sister from mom and dad. I would suggest this; let Ruby go with the other children to be with mother, but we let Alitia care for Jake and Mabel here in Rhy'Din. She's a good mother and raising the younglings could do her some good. She has a good head on her shoulders and will make they are well cared for, taught, fed and kept healthy. This will allow Leroy to continue being their father and being in their lives here. On some days, I'll come here and take them to the station to be Ammy for the day then bring them back. It's a bit tedious but it keeps the kids and Leroy happy."

She rubbed her head more as the tension from all of this built behind her eyes. "How about I show you to the guest room and let Aribius get back to what he needs to do with Mirius."
