The official Den City law enforcement thread. (May be updated more soon for any missed information, errors, typos, etc.)

Here will be stated all the new things going on with DFLEA. DFLEA has been a struggling law enforcement as they were overwhelmed with events, but with new improvements they'll be doing much better.

Numbers of DFLEA officers are also on a gradual climb as well as keeping a volunteer program. The program will be for any who wish to seek what it's like or get into the public service as well as simply lend a hand and do some good for the community.

DFLEA will still be responsible for all protection in the Den and will be equipped even against invasive forces from the outside if the protective shield should ever fail that protects the city. They will be considered official security of the Den for protecting the city and enforcing the laws of the Den and it's outer-lying territory. Outside of that territory is not in their jurisdiction and cannot consider anyone a suspect unless within the Den's territory or within the city.

So, what's new in the agency? For the most part, new equipment and slight change of head-officers within DFLEA. Although, most have remained in their original status.

New and current list of head members of the agency:

Orion Wolf, Earthrii, Commissioner of DFLEA
Tyris Wolf, Earthrii, lieutenant, Second in Command of DFLEA
Demarcus Wolfrum, Wolfral, head of the DFLEA K9 unit
Jason Daniels, human, Sergeant, Head of D.C.R.T. Department
Valory Mills, human, Sergeant, Head of Forensics Department
Jonah Iron-Oak, Erthrii, Sergeant, Head of Homicide Department
Lufri Blue-Wing, Airii, Sergeant, Head of Aerial Reconnaissance Department
Mist Rock Riivii, Sergeant, Head of Dispatch Department
Trevor Earth-Keeper, Erthrii, Sergeant, Head of Investigations Department
Joshua Copper-Worker, Dessii, Sergeant, Head of Corrections Department
Classaa Wind-Walker, Soltre, Sergeant, Head of Magical Investigations Department
Orion Stridar, Wuudrii, Sergeant, Head of Patrol Department
Sara Worm-Wood, Wuudrii, Sergeant, Head of Undercover Investigations Department
Telroth Shadowfang, Drow, Head of Drow Mercenary support.

The armory DFLEA will now range from cvilian friendly to military-grade equipment. Considering the many various intruders and trouble that has happened in the Den, DFLEA will now be more ready than ever to deal with problem-makers.

But first off it is needed to be stated that DFLEA will not be walking around like armed soldiers. Patrol officers and those guarding and watching areas will remain a civilian friendly look consisting of armor-vests, dart guns, and a pistol and their uniforms. Higher-grade weaponry is only brought out if necessary. Communication devices will be on all officers as well.

Patrol Gear:

Dart pistols: officers are given three dart types for these dart guns that is also compatible with a few different sizes.
-First ammo type is a tranquilizer, which gives the effect of putting the target to sleep.
-Second ammo type is a taser-dart. These darts have strong electrical charges meant to incapacitate the target.
-Third ammo type is a non-lethal form of nethicite rounds. These darts are almost like tranquilizers, except for magic. When nethicite hits their target, it drains their ability to do magic for some time. This allows law enforcement to be able to subdue even magic users if they cause other forms of problems with their magic.
-Fourth Type is a tracker dart. This type of dart will inject a micro-tracker into the person upon contact and become activated. This will send a signal transmition back to any officers with a mobile GPS unit or back to DFLEA headquarters where the trackers can be monitored.

9mm pistol: A simple pistol given for basic protection in case something is to happen and lethal force is needed. Two ammo types are given to the officers.
-Normal 9mm rounds with no enchancements.
-Nethicite rounds, which can be lethal and can dim a magic user's ability if they are hit.

Bullet-proof vests: All officers will have these while on duty and out walking streets. They'll be protected from bullets if they are shot in the torso area, although these vests aren't strong enough to stop anti-armor bullets.

Den City Response Team

D.C.R.T. is the Den's special police force that use military-grade gear. After multiple counts of gang fights, city attacks, bomb threats and more. This special force was made on the side of DFLEA as a means of emergencies to dangerous situations. This team will respond with lethal force and will kill if they believe something is a threat to themselves or safety of civilians.

Response Gear for them means having stronger equipment if the target(s) are heavily armed or are a danger to officers and civilians. Response gear does not only include what is listed below, but also includes the few items lised above as well. A lot of this gear was also specially ordered and created on special requests.

Responses Gear:

Full body armor: D.C.R.Ts are generally equipped with full body armor. This consists of light-weight armored parts covering head to toe and all limbs. Given a long history of both physical and magical attacks, D.C.R.T. armor can take magical hits, bullets and some explosive resistances (such as grenades, but nothing above that).

DRJ2 Assault Rifle: The DRJ-2 is one of some special ordered weaponry for D.C.R.T. With high accuracy, fast fire rate, a clip size of 40 bullets and capable of using multiple scope attachments, barrel attachments and more.

VX24B sub-machinegun: This submachine gun is compact for close-quarters. High fire rate, moderate accuracy and a 35 round clip. It accepts many attachments to adapt to situations.

G1L9 sniper: The G1L9, or AKA "Shorty", is not an average long-barreled sniper. This sniper is excellent in short to mid ranges, but at far ranges it's not reliable. Given that a lot has happened in urban areas of the Den, this sniper was preferred. Semi-auto with 15 round clip and low recoil. Not only can various scopes and other attachments be made, but it also accepts extended barrel attachments to help with more reliable accuracy at further ranges as well as takes suppressors.

Infrared and night-vision: Given that things may happen at night, infrared and night-vision goggles may be used when necessary. These goggles they have look similar to welding styled goggles.

Heavy riot shields: The riot shields they have are sturdy against just about anything and have a small view-window in the upper-center of the shield so that the one holding it may see through a small bullet-proof glass. unfortunately, these shields are not only protectively solid, but are a bit cumbersome to carry around.

Light Riot Shields: These lighter weight riot shields are meant more for less dangerous occasions. Such as a small public riots. They are bullet proof to some extent, such as lower caliber guns.

All guns that DFLEA and D.C.R.T. have are capable of being able to switch between three ammo types: normal rounds, nethicite rounds and armor-piercing rounds.

Grenades:

Smoke Grenades: They are what they sound like. Grenades that release a lot of smoke and can make it troublesome for others to see through large clouds of smoke.

Frag Grenades: Grenades that explode and send shrapnel in all directions.

Nethicite Grenades: Grenades that explode, but not to kill. When Nethicite Grenades explode, they explode in a powder dousing anything nearby and causing their magical abilities to dim if not be neutralized temporarily.

Flashbangs: These grenades explode in a bright flash of light that can blind be blinding temporarily, if not permanently especially to those with very sensitive eyes.

Other equipment DFLEA and D.C.R.T uses:

Mobile GPS devices: These devices are used to help coordinate where units need to go. When someone is ever tagged with a micro-tracker, they also appear on these GPS devices so they can be found by authorities.

Enhanced Vision Glasses: These glasses are meant soultri and others with light-sensitive eyes. Using high tech micro-computers programmed to control the brightness and contrasts densities of the glasses so that they can efficiently do their jobs.

Recon Drones: These drones can vary between looking like little planes or little helicopters. They can record audio, and can take still-imaging as well as recorded video. Not only can these drones be quiet, but they can be invisible temporarily for several minutes.

Dirt bikes: Given that the Den lives out of the way and in more rural and natural area, a number of dirt bikes have been ordered into helping authorities to reach areas outside the Den in a hurry if magical means are not available.

DFLEA/D.C.R.T. K9 unit

This new unit is introduced in hopes to improve the effectiveness of DFLEA and D.C.R.T. effectiveness. They do not use normal canines in these means, instead they use dire wolves known as Wolfrals. Although, Wolfrals were once a play thing of an evil deity, they're still sentient creatures and are treated as such in the Den. Now they have found their place in law enforcement helping the community be a safer place. They are sentient creatures and can talk, some can even do magic. They are not to be passed up as lap dogs.
