A demon touched, and possibly one of the earliest known on file at the Institute according to Emma, although she did not formally join the Institute's ranks until only recently.

Notably, she owns a golden rapier named "Mihr" that can be materialized at will from direct contact with a light source. It's referred to as "Demon's Bane" to other members for its deadly touch to any demon that makes contact with it. She is required to only cut a demon once to spread its energy into her foe, cursing it to an immediate, painful death. However, it is ineffective against humans.

She joined the Institute several years ago and promptly climbed their ranks due to her exceptional skills to summon a blade of light and detect demons, traits that are unheard of within the academy. Today, she acts as a leader of the Omega Unit, a highly advanced team of Hunters that are tasked with difficult jobs involving extremely dangerous demons that roam the areas surrounding the Institute. They are the only members within the Institute that were made aware of the Angelic Shards of legend, and their primary task is to recover them intact.

A demon touched, rescued by Elisa following the annihilation of her village in a demon raid. While her family and friends were discovered dead and dismembered, Carla was found mostly unscathed beneath the remains of her parents. Seemingly able to withstand the demon toxin that was coursing through her body, she was brought back to the institute and eventually drafted into the ranks of the Institute. She possesses a thick hatred for demons and surrounds her dreams around their complete annihilation.

She wields a pair of gauntlets that were crafted specifically for her. While the gauntlets provide her with incredible strength in combat, she's been silent on the exact information surrounding them and how she is capable of such immense feats of brawn in times of need. Because of her frightening power, she's sometimes (mockingly) referred to as the "Tyrannical Golden Slugger".

A demon touched scientist that has been studying the demon race all her life. Her parents were among a small faction of renegades that sought to learn all they could about demons and their powers, eventually passing their research onto Emma before their passing. Emma works at the Institute as the head of Research and Development, utilizing demon blood and artifacts to create tools specific to their cause.

Emma's research spans far and wide, responsible not only for the Institutes incredible rate of technological advances over the years, but its defenses as well. Most, if not everything the Institute is in possession of, is widely in thanks to Emma's tireless commitment to study. Because of her, The Institute's campus is considered a super giant compared to the outlying areas of the world, which still heavily rely on farming and irrigation, horseback, and other archaic means of survival.

A demon touched and official leader of Elisa's group, Team Omega. Jeffrey is one of the founding members of the Institute and its cause and carries immense weight within the organization. Rarely seen in the field of battle, he instead acts as the team's sponsor and mentor, directing them over the radio.

Particularly lazy on the job, Jeffrey is still renown as one of the most successful team leaders within the Institute. Besides being one of the founders behind the establishment of the Institute's purpose, he has proven himself time and time again to lead his team to fruitful results in the field. To date, only three members of Omega have lost their lives under his supervision.

A demon touched and former ranking member of Omega. He was immediately attracted to Elisa back when she was a new recruit, though it would take him some time before he'd be able to scrounge up the courage to approach her with his feelings. He wasn't formerly introduced into the unit until after the pair began to date, a gesture provided by Jeffrey for Elisa's sake alone.

Kain's health peculiarly started to plummet downhill following a mission he and Elisa were on, leading Emma and others to perform extensive research on him in order to discover the cause.

As is normal with Hunters of the Institute, their bodies eventually begin to lose against the aggressive demon toxin that runs through their veins. Emma discovered a countermeasure to prevent it from destroying the host, but only after the effects take form as each case is unique to the patient. In Kain's particular case, however, the toxin refuses to subside following treatment and has grown progressively worse, leading him to be stripped from field duty and placed behind a desk.

Until such a time as a remedy can be discovered, his condition has been strictly on a Need-to-Know basis.

A girl born with the power of magic, an exceedingly rare existence in the world. Originally a member of a now defunct magic guild that trained those gifted with magic, Ayaka left with a man known as Alexander Ravenlock who had come to the school in search of an artifact of immense strength. Over time, she grew to consider this man her father, her mentor, and her sole reason for existing.

Alexander would eventually meet his death by her own hands following a vision she saw from the gift of Clairvoyance that was passed to her by members of a traitorous group once loyal to the original, maddened headmaster of her guild, Maho. This vision saw the destruction of the entire world at the hands of the man she called her father.

Some years later, following Alexander's demise, she returned to the magic guild only to discover it had been abandoned by its occupants and its protective wards stripped away. Today, she resides there with only a few trusted others that she can call friend, acting as Grandmaster and overseeing the protection of the magic artifact her father originally set out to claim for himself: the statue Poltergeist.

A demon touched woman of Team Omega that joined the institute four years ago after it was discovered she could manipulate the husks of deceased demons like puppets. Melissa appears eccentric and wild, almost airheaded, both at her home base and out in the field, drawing considerable fire from her peers due to her seemingly reckless abandonment of protocol. However, more than on several occasions has she proven herself highly capable and trained in her particular art of combating demons, harnessing a wealth of control over her puppets in even the most dire circumstance, prompting equally high praise from the leadership such as Chairman Angus and Jeffrey.

Notably, Melissa takes great pride in a series of books known as, "The Steamy" collection. Raunchy, practically erotica, she is a renown collector of the many volumes that have been released, and takes a high priority on making sure most anybody she meets is aware of their existence. You'd think she wrote the things herself, considering how much focus she puts on them?

A demon-sensitive human and Elisa's personal butler. Seventeen years ago, years prior to her initiation into the Institute, Elisa came across the boy as he was fleeing from a demon that was after his mother and him in the port village of Alarnis. His mother instructed him to seek out the orphanage she was staying that, telling him that "she would be able to protect him from those creatures."

Over the remainder of Elisa's time at the village of Alarnis, the two became close, sparking his interest in joining her on her never-ending journey.

Some time following their departure, Owen took up several classes by noble families in various villages throughout the land on how to butle, leading him to being a foremost expert on the subject by the time he became an adult.

While there's been no definitive response to his reasoning for being able to see demons, it is a common trend for those affected by demonic influence to be demonic sensitive.
