"How do you feel about the end?" The elderly therapist asked Disa as she stared over the thin-rimmed frames. "How do you feel about the beginning?"

Was the answer so easy to explain? "I am not ready to answer those questions. I was told to leave, or maybe I did the telling. I am not allowed to make the changes, what's done is done. It should have been this way from the beginning. I found the children, set the course right and ensured every open, loose end is closed. Final, maybe." For the end.

"I see. Will you regret the decision you made?"

"I do not believe in forever." She stood. "My time is up." She’d been watching the clock and was quick to end the self-imposed session.

"Until next time."

She stepped away from the woman's office rather quickly and continued on her way to town.
