Unhome tends to be a fluid location. The sandman will establish another place of pseudo-residence any time he feels the current location is threatened. At the moment, Unhome is part of a long abandoned manor in the North Wood (much in the North Wood is what has been abandoned by man and creature alike). A single room remains as well as a doorway, now a hole, leading to the rest of the collapsed stonework. It suits the sandman's purposes, made of unprepossessing stone, a patched wood-and-thatch roof. Inside the walls have been smoothly plastered and whitewashed then painted over with the giant tree motif that follows the sandman around, as well as various roughs and half-done paintings that are born in the blank white areas left. There is a crude pallet, often dusty from the lack of time the sandman spends in sleep, simple shelves mounted into the stone-and-plaster walls, one rusted out chair and a table with a single candle upon it. There is no true door but a large plank of wood set before the doorway.

The area outside of Unhome is what could be called a clearing, if clearings were so small. Just a break in the trees, a greater presence of long grasses waving in the midst of other undergrowth. There are many birches and ash trees around the low stone building and the remnants of the greater array. In the distance is the sound of a creek running through the forest. Much pains are taken to avoid allowing an obvious path to the Unhome to become apparent. There are a few meandering deer paths running past and a few hundred yards away, but that is all.
