Healed and tranquil seemed that which Rona had never thought she would find again but yet there she was, standing bare foot on the shore feeling the waves lap at her feet, tickling her toes as they wiggled in the wet sand.

The feeling, the sensation was something she near had forgotten about. What it felt perhaps to feel well... alive. The pain was gone, the dark threads of melancholy and seeming infinite sadness had finally been brushed away.

A new horizon in her life. Rona could easily feel the change of the tides, the turn of the winds. So many changes had taken place, so many were on the horizon waiting to set the sky on fire.

A hint of a smile came upon her lips as she considered all those changes as her fingers twisted in the ribbons at her throat. It was good to finally feel like there was peace again in her soul.

The water felt good in the early morning. The dawn sun beat down along her flesh as she walked through the sand, toes curling into the sand as she looked around.

No one was around this early and that put her mind at ease. Nervous chew of lips before the bold, wildfire of her spirit came to life again as the peasant blouse and skirt were disposed of.

Steps drew her to the water, her naked flesh glistening in the warm sun rays.

A deep breath drawn in before she dived under the waves, remembering again what she was named for, her meaning, her worth.

The Sea.

Beneath those crashing waves, lost in the depths of the ocean the visions pooled around her.

The rare smile of Kusinage. Silver's wild laughter. Colt's strong presence in the afternoon sun.

Images of the past... the Violent Messiah, Joseph, and Patrick.

Her heart went wild with the thoughts, finding herself holding her breath until the darkness seeped through her thoughts.

A gasp as she surfaced from the water, head thrown back to slap those glistening black strands of charcoal curls wet against her back.

Lungfuls of air taken in raggedly, gasping out breathlessly before the breathless sound made its way to laughter.

Ila Mora but it felt good to be alive.
