Anyhoos!

As many of you know, I'm planning to attempt a little event. Well, not so little. In fact I'm aiming for a week long event, with a 'special event' planned for each day. I've already had some OOC and IC help from people, which is oh so appreciated. But the more and more I get into this, I realize there's just more and more to do.

Which isn't to say I plan to give up!

I have a goal week of sorts (Nov 5-11, but that can be pushed back if needed) , the week I hope to get things ready and have a schedule planned etc etc, but I'm gonna need a lot of OOC help with this... Like times for example, it will do no good to just.. hold the Festival, especially with events involving people. My schedule is a bit off from others, so I can't really hold all events during the times I'm around, since no one would be around to enjoy them and..

Yeah? Um... I'll get into more details later. I'd not normally make a topic for this, but I'm not always able to get on at the same time as others, conflicting schedules, and I thought there should be a place for planning and discussing? This is the OOC side of things. *nod*

I shall get into more details about specific events and such later. But first, I need those who are gonna be helping me out to post and lemme know they're on the same page as I am! And others who wanna help post too! I'm sure some people already know about the auctions *grin* and IC arrangements for things can be made easily if there's OOC cooperation, etc etc.

Oooh yes! I've spoken with Des a bit about events and whatnot. I've just been wanting to get a little more confirmation from others and do more planning before I start setting dates in stone ya know? And it's a new devlopement that there will be a 'mini event' of sorts for each day of the Harvest Festival. A little ambitious perhaps but I feel it can be done!

Oh, and just so it's known, ideas are soo not all mine by any means! Lots of stuff was discussed in the Lobby the other day and it was a collaborative effort to get ideas and whatnot! Brian and and.. omg brain fart.

Urm, Brian, Rosie, Jen, and..ah.. some others were there too. Discussions were had *nodnod* and omg, forgive me if I'm leaving a name out! I really do have terrible memory. :(

All plans are subject to change but so far the events are as follows (and listed in no particular order, and names will be changed to something better later)

Male Auctions/Female Auctions
Kiss the Chef Day/Kissing Booths/Kiss day!
Fancy Dress Day
Pin the tail on/catch the greased dragon?
Carnival type day?
Gender Bender Day
Feast Day

Some are rather self explanatory, others will be explained further later. But um, some like the big feast, and fancy dressing, and the carnival will be more of an environmental thing, described via playables for people to..well, play off of! ^_^ Things like the auctions and kissing booths are more tricky, since that requires other peoples to make it happen too! So I wanna make sure it's done during a time where a lot of people can participate. Even I probably won't even be able to participate in *every* event, time, real life, etc etc. But I'd like to maximize um..er.. Well I forget what I was saying.

*breathes*

I mean, like for the auctions if the person can't make it they can still totally be auctioned off. So if Jewell can't make it then Elly will just locate her and be like "K, this person bought you for a date!" and lead her to some nasty orc man, because.. well, it's a hypothetical example. ^_^ I just need to talk to people who are going to be/want to participate so I can figure out the best time schedules and even if extensive IC planning cannot be done that's soooo what vapor is for right?

You could always do the silent auction type thing too if there's scheduling conflicts. Try and have each person being auctioned off strut their stuff or have posters, then give a time limit on bids being sent in or set something up on the boards. I'm not quite sure how to explain it.

Thankee, now Elly just needs to find Tanny and try to persuade her into participating! ;D


Bah! I don't think Taneth would earn very much for Elly.

Muhahaha! The Auctions are goin' on now. Booyeah! I still plan to have Elly assault people to join in to be auctioned off and to bid too. :3 I'm still waiting on the okay for some before posting them up though. But uh, yeah, I know my schedule is a little wonky sometimes, and I don't always have Elly out during the more crowded times so if you do want your character to be in the auctions, please feel free to PM me about it and we will work something out! :) That's the magic of vapor! Or it could be something as simple as one of the pumpkinheads catching a shot of someone she thinks is so pretty she just can't help but auction them off without confirming it first *grin* (but that requires the player consent of course, etc etc)

So I'm thinking.. goal week will be met. *nod*

So either Elly needs to bump into Taneth soon, or have a pumpkin get a nice shot of her serving up berries at the inn, think it's super cute, assume Taneth would be okay with it, and post it everywhere.

Then Taneth could find it while walking around town perhaps? ^_^ At least it's not a nasty suprise..like for poor Alain. *chuckles*

The Pumpkin head would most likely found her around town some where. You could use that. I'll let you decide how to you want it done.

Note about the auctions: All the money involved is an IC thing, so there will be no actual trading of silver crowns on the forums. :)

Actually looking back.. a couple events held didn't actually *require* her presence. And really are just playables for people to play into. Good if I end up busy at the time. o.O

She'll have to be there for the omg grand uber harvest feast though. *nodnod*

*ahem* Seriously though... that's not all that's planned. On one day Elly will throw a play. But someone mentioned to me it's kinda like what they do at Renaissance Faires, so something like that as a whole for that day might be good?

A fun dress up day or two is good too, I think. Not fancy dress or gender bender...

Pirate Dress Up Day. (That's for you Stephen! ;D)

And last year there was Dragon Day. This year there should be a day for another denomination of Rhydin. Like.. Elf Day. Or Human Day. Except.. not Elf Day or Human Day. Or maybe .. I dunno. Ideas?

And I don't know what good times to have actual events would be. Later is better for me, but I dunno. Hm. So.. host help would be appreciated! And.. yeah!
