Hello everybody~

As you might already know, this is the thread where you put all OOC comments and whatnot. Everyone is welcome to post here!

As of this moment I am still setting up the environment and backbone of this folder. However when I am through with that, I welcome everyone to come here and participate in the stories. Any thread that is unlocked will be open for anyone to join in, and you can always create your own :)

I only ask that things be kept moderately clean. Nothing too explicit, and no *particularly* foul language (you know what words you should and should not use, and if any use a particularly foul word, Elly's Bubble of Censoring shall pop up and destroy it ;) ). I just ask that you use your best judgement in posting since I want everyone to be able to enjoy this place, including the younger members of this site.

And my "Eleanor" thread (which is like a backstory, her origin, etc) will get finished someday! I'm just a little slow with keeping up with my writing since I got more than one project going on here. *grin*

Alrighty, I've also been asked a couple times what an 'atelier' is exactly. Honestly, I'm not 100% certain....which is pretty bad. Ha. Since, yeah, it's my setting here.

SO! I've gone to my friends at dictionary.com to bring you a little info on ateliers.

1. the workroom or atelier of an artist, as a painter or sculptor.
2. a room or place for instruction or experimentation in one of the performing arts: a dance studio.
3. a room or set of rooms specially equipped for broadcasting radio or television programs, making phonograph records, filming motion pictures, etc.
4. all the buildings and adjacent land required or used by a company engaged in the production of motion pictures.
5. studio apartment.

The French term for studio, atelier, in addition to designating an artist's studio is used to characterize the studio of a fashion designer. Atelier also has the connotation of being the home of an alchemist or wizard.

Haha, playing an outgoing character like Elly is a blast!

I would like to make a note of something though?

It's a problem I have more with Elly since she's the more outgoing type, knows more people, etc. But when there's a lot of people in a room, and I'm interacting with multiple people, I tend to get really confused, easily. I play off it and attribute it to Elly's ditziness, flakiness and short attention span though.. But um, if you try to interact with Elly and get no response, please just IM me and let me know! I'm so not trying to ignore anyone (unless yer on ignore of course ;) ) and I try to respond to things, but sometimes I get super overwhelmed when I try to keep up so please just be patient with me? ^_^ And never hesitate to toss me an IM when you think I may have missed something... cuz really, I might have. :\

Seriously, there'd be no Elly without others' interactions and whatnot. Whether or not your character loves her, or if your character hates her and provides a little conflict it's all good!

I'm still interested to see how things end up between Elly and Tara. Will they be friends ..or foes?

On a side note: My schedule has always been somewhat flaky, but for a while it might be a bit more flaky. To those I'm writing with or doing things with Elly or other characters, just be a little patient with me, since things in real life are a little..chaotic right now. Nothing serious, just gots to take care of things. ^_^ I'll be sure to try to do my stuff here too! Just might be slower than the norm.

I'm not making sense I dun think...erm.. anyhoo thanks again all!

Okee dokee, I just wanted to say today was fun! Thing is, I had two characters in the inn at once, then things got really chaotic really fast and I was having a really hard time trying to keep up. I tried tried tried my best but if either Lydia or Elly seemed standoffish or ignored anyone, just know it wasn't intentional! ^_^;

I know better than to try that again anytime soon.... ⌐_⌐;

The exchange rate in most systems I've seen using the copper/silver/gold coins is that it's ten copper to a silver, ten silver to a gold (similar to pennies, dimes, and dollars). Then either five or ten gold to a platinum, I think. I'm less sure of that last one.
I know there was some discussion a while back regarding the coinage of Rhy'Din, but I don't know if any consensus was reached.

Grem - Thanks a bunch! Makes a lot of sense to me... I think I'll go with that system then. I just needed to know so I could post the copper and gold requirements as well, to those that happen to deal with different coinage than silver. Silver just seems to be the most common coin I see being used in room. So..

1 gold > 10 silver > 100 coppers

Aaaand, I was planning to do this war preparation/alliance thread, and then a thread for the war itself, BUT if you guys think it'd be better to just keep it all in one huge epic thread, I'm willing to do that as well.

And as a side note here... August is almost here, and come August, I'm going to start plans for... *drum rolls*... The Harvest Festival! (Which is a November event, but I wanted to start planning early this year since last year felt so rushed) Which includes the biggest event of the year.. the auctions! So guys, be thinking of some ideas to pitch in when the HF thread reopens. This year can totally be bigger and better than last year. And if you're wanting a character to be auctioned off, lemme know. I'll definitely be approaching people about that because I have quite a few I have my eye on.

That includes a certain pink haired gossiper~ ;) I bet people would just love fighting over him!

This isn't something I want to do, really, considering I have a lot of people interested... and I know some might be mad or disappointed, but right now, I just can't motivate myself to work on the auction. I'm not saying it's a never kind of deal. I really enjoy them when they happen, but now isn't good. Part of it is reasons I'm not going to get into here, and part of it is RL just isn't exactly a peach right now. Not anything outright terrible, but it can be draining at times. :\

So when I feel more upbeat and positive and less.. frustrated with things, I'll definitely wanna get this off the ground again, if people are still willing. I'm really thankful and appreciative to those who showed interest, and really sorry that it's something that can't happen now.
