Rabid Vampire:the Masquerade and White Wolf fans will no doubt raise a hew and cry when they read our stories. We freely admit that we've taken certain liberties with the history of the Cainites and the World of Darkness in the interest of supporting our story and our characters. Hell, we haven't taken liberties so much as we've tossed WoD history to the ground and thoroughly had our way with it.

Many of the NPCs used herein are taken straight from various V:tM source books, campaigns and web sites, just to add an extra bit of verisimilitude to the stories. Danni, Luc, and Gaius were created especially for this story using First Edition and Dark Ages rules, and if necessary, we can produce actual paper character sheets! Yes, we are that nerdy.

Lameth, Anis, and the Elixir of Golcanda are ideas taken straight from the "Masquerade of the Red Death" trilogy, written by Robert Weinberg. The events and most of the characters mentioned in this series has been removed from WoD canon, but this doesn't diminish their appeal...or the fact that they make for great story-line fodder.
