She moved through the town of RhyDin and made her way near to the Market area. Sha'uri found the old building that used to house the small complex where Exodii City used to sell its wares.
The portal was still there, a portculus between the buildings leading back into the courtyard area, a pathway big enough to take two wagons side by side. Vines now grew over and around it signalling it's long absense of use, not even just to move a wagon from the front area into the back. No one had bothered it in all this time.
It wasn't surprising that no one had used it. The Portal had been out of commission since the days of the Change upon Secak. Rightly so, for the Realm of Secak was no longer where it had been, changed once to a universe and then again it shifted leaving only a solar system.
All the portals leading to/from Secak were naturally shut down, the magic broken. Even the one at the light house used to move ships into RhyDin Harbor.... she often wondered who had bought the little island, but that was a tangent best left for another time.
Today, she looked at the small complex, the deed in hand claiming ownership of the buildings. She even brought materials to start cleaning up the place.
She could imagine Alex on the flipside putting in place the jump gate in Exodii. Tomorrow, he'd be here putting in the one for RhyDin side and then the testing would commence for the next week or two, making sure the two were set properly and that all was working as it should.
Soon, very soon, the trade routes would be fixed and business between RhyDin and Exodii City would be open again. Travel would no longer be an issue between .....
