In addition, please note that all of these things can possibly be altered due to story line events. Check with board moderator before attempting the change in the storyline but also check back in this string for possible updated info and/or check the more recent stories as well. Sometimes I don't always get the updated info in on time. When in doubt or confused, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

JumpGates

Space side Jumpgates

Exodii/RhyDin Space
In a very high orbit of Exodii planet is a gigantic jump gate for space type ships to move through and instantly be in another place that also has a similar jump gate. Currently, there is another one that is in a very high orbit of the planet RhyDin. Travel between the two is open for space ships.

Also, there is a satellite for communication and survallience in orbit of RhyDin and a few orbiting Exodii planet. Ships need to contact the nearest one to the gate they wish to use in order for the settings to be adjusted properly for travel through.

Mundane sized Jumpgates

In Exodii City..

A huge building was placed over the road in the center of Exodii city harboring the jumpgate portal. This was to ensure travel in winter would not find those from RhyDin walking unaware into a deadly freeze zone in the arctic mid winter month of January on Exodii, but instead moving into the safety of a huge barn, for all intents and purposes. This barn would help house horses and goods temporarily. Business could commence as it used to do so long ago when the Woodshadows ruled the city.

In RhyDin...

The Gate in RhyDin is located on the east west road along the northern side of the river towards the western edge, almost directly across the river from Belarus Corp.-Port. A few blocks North gave easy access to the Market area. Directly south of the Gate along the beachfront were the warehouses and the Woodshadow-Arrowny private beach house. North of the Portal was the cluster of four shops, the Exodii Enterprises, nestled together along that corner of the block.

Travel using the mundane sized Gates....

Travel through the gates would be limited to either walking or vehicles no wider then a wagon, nor moving through faster then a walking pace and certainly not flying in the air over the height limit of 15 feet. Four gaurds were placed to each destination side of the portal to help direct the flow of traffic not only through the portal but those passing by and around it on the street. The portal is wide enough to allow two wagon loads side by side if necessary. Or, a small shuttle craft could fit through but only allowed in rare cases as these would be directed to use the Space side Jumpgates. Four more guards are on the Exodii side awaiting arrivals. The guards are there to make sure that all coming in or out were properly noted and checked.

Also, there were no fees for travel through the portal, though a general search would commence for everyone going through either way, along with some questioning ... for example: name, reason for travel, expected length of stay, etc . . .

As an added insurance, an anti magic zone was centered covering everything fifty feet from the portal. Teleportation, other Gate magics and transporter type technology were also blocked within the same range.

Sha'uri had erected two portals on Ravensheart school grounds in RhyDin for public use between school grounds and either the City of Exodii on Exodii Planet or the Citadel of Mysteries somewhere on the same planet. Both portals functioned by one word command, that of the name of the destination desired, either Exodii or Citadel.

From the Exodii side for those coming through to the school needed to only speak North for the front gates and South for the barn area.

The portal in Exodii and the portal in the Citadel were both outlined by the same trelis work as at the school in RhyDin... and big enough to allow wagon sized loads through. This channeled the traffic from the School portals through to these two magical portals.

The City one was located in the same building structure as that of the jumpgate in the city center used by the merchants. The jumpgate was the same jumpgate that leads into RhyDin City and to the Exodii Enterprise shops.

The portal to the Citadel was located along the outside walls of the stables there, leading towards the citadel itself.

A plaque was posted with instructions for use.

~As you enter through this portal, speak North for front gate and South for the barn. Upon your return, speak Exodii for the City or Citadel if that is your destination. Do not speak of more then one as you pass through in either way or it won't work. Good luck and happy travels!~

The Northor the first one at the school, was within the boundaries and near to the front gate of the school grounds. She placed the portal within the newly fashioned trellis adorned with oak leaves formed in the woven pattern of various metals, a pattern identical to all the portals. A newly built sidewalk was laid leading from the trellis over to the original walkway at a slight angle, connecting with it about halfway to the front door.

There was a good ten yards between the trellis and the gate so that there was no mistake about using it. The fence was right on the other side of the trellis making it impossible to pass through the trellis to the other side of it. Nobody would attempt to walk through it because of the wall on the other side. Dead end is what it would seem. Only those knowing it was a portal would have cause to use it.

The South Portal or second one, was a larger version wide enough to allow wagons to pass through. It was located on the side of the barn, just like the trellis near the front gate. It would appear to lead right into the side of the barn. Nobody in their right mind would try to go through unless they were using the portal as it was designed.

She also made her private portal in her quarters somewhere, but that was reserved for those on a need to know basis....

Outside the front gates of Ravensheart school ...
To the East by about fifty yards was a landing pad big enough to allow two shuttle craft to land comfortably... three if crowded. A sign signified a caution.

~Caution! Shuttle craft landing pad! All others stay out!~

To the West by about ten yards was another landing type pad surrounded by five foot posts connected by rope .... except for a twenty foot wide space open on the side closest to the gate. A plaque hung from one of the posts with the open side.

~Caution! Schimmerscale landing pad! All others stay out!~

Next to this area, North of the Schimmerscale pad was another identical pad. It, too, had a sign posted.

~Caution! Flying Creatures Landing pad! Take turns or else!~

After all that work, Sha'uri smiled, shifted her form to dragon and made her way to finish some work at the Schimmerscale's place.....

It has slowly become known that there is a group of worshipers within Exodii City, and other places, who pay homage to the Goddess Sharilis ... They have built a temple in Exodii City towards the southern edge of town. Another temple has been built in the City of Halexville. Public portals exist between the two. They are magical in nature.

I guess I should've put this down but anyone that was following the story lines should know certain ones were shut down, especially if it's obvious from both ends. As per the storyline -Time Alone - All portals linked to the Citadel were effectively shut down. Period. This includes all portals from the Academy in RhyDin. The only portals, or rather JumpGates, from Exodii to RhyDin that are working, is the one directly from Exodii City to RhyDin City and the Jumpgates in orbit between RhyDin planet and Exodii planet. Period. I hope that clears that up.
