The Unknown Lands are all the lands Unknown by Exodii City and their surrounding areas prior to the Change. In other words, it's the rest of Exodii Planet. These will progress as storylines touch in their locations. Should anyone wish to develop an area or enhance areas already mentioned here, PM your thoughts and ideas to Shauri, Lyndra or AlexArrowny and we'll see what we can work out.

Of the lands on the Eastern Continent of Exodii Planet:

Note: These lands are ever evolving and are subject to some changes as they are developed. Distances are generally "As the Crow Flies" and do not reflect any additional distance one would have to actually travel due to land formations. Also, planetary map is in two sections, two links to put them together. The far western side of the western part of the map is actually connected to the far east side of the eastern map, i.e. they are of the same continent.

Krexarn Mountian Chain is at least a hundred miles across in most places as it begins east of the Harn Sea and continues due south for about 500 miles where it shifts slightly southwest for nearly another 500 miles. From there it shifts southeast at about 200 miles north of Krexarn City.

This area is the thickest area of the mountain chain, as much as 300 miles at the Mountian chains most widest area from its eastern and western points. This widest area lays just north of the City of Krexarn.

The Chain shifts southeast, then southwest and forms a Fork north of Krexarn city, which lends to the exceptionally wide area of the chain. The main mountain chain continues southeast for another 300 miles tapering down to foothills within the forests about 30 miles east of the River Krex and a city called Laitu.

The Western edge of the Fork in the mountain chain moves southwest forming an arc around a 100 square mile arid region southwest of Krexarn city, and northwest of G?Brinek. This part of the Fork is known as Krexarn?s Arm.

The River Krex is the longest running river on the face of Exodii. It begins north of Krexarn City, formed by the streams flowing down from the mountain chain and into the valley at its northern end. It is also the central point of the continent and the river has become the main artery of trade in that region.

From Krexarn city, the river flows south and slightly west until just before it reaches the next town, more then 150 miles, where it turns southeast and forks on the southern edge of G?Brinek. From there part of the river goes due south for almost 50 miles before it shifts southwest for another 150 miles, bypassing the city of Shunia which resides southeast of the river by a days walk. That part of the river continues southwest and curves round to the north for another 300 miles, forming the better part of a circle before it disappears inside the forests about 150 miles northwest of Shunia ... as the crow flies.

The other fork from G?Brinek continues to flow southeast for another 50 miles until it forks again due west of the city of Laitu. Again the fork takes a southern route, shifting slightly to the southeast as it flows to the city of Oghda almost 400 miles away. The other fork continues southeast for almost 150 miles where it curves to flow northeast for almost another 150 before it merges into a fair sized lake beside the city of La Bahiiem.

Krexarn River forks again on the southwestern edge of Oghda, traveling east for another 50 miles where it dumps into a great lake next to the city of Tu. The other fork from Oghda travels southward around the eastern end of another mountain chain and continues to meander southwest past several other cities - Geerlin, Dunhouse, Grenik's Reach, converging with another river at Geerlin until it finally spills into the ocean next to the city of Odun over a thousand miles away from Oghda along the southern portion of the continent.

Of the Cities .....

Krexarn (City) is a Huge city with a mountain chain east, north and west, and forest and a large river running to the south. The river runs through a forested valley between the Krexarn mountain chains south of the fork, connecting the city with other larger cities along the same river; G?Brinek and Laitu being the closest. The Cities, unlike cities in the Known regions, were not a part of each other prior to the Change, thus explaining the different cultures and backgrounds, different technology and developments and different deities and beliefs. Because of the river that sprang up between them, they had discovered each other quickly enough and contacts and trade began rather soon after the Change.

Krexarn?s developments could be closely related to that of a combination of Dwarven and Egyptian influences. Yet there were no dwarves that had been raised in or near the place prior to the change. The City had no dwarves in its mythos or chronology; none in their surrounding known lands or that they had ever heard of before. Drow were also a major influence and did exist in their lands prior to the change. In fact, Drow are still a part of the city, though by no means ruled by Lloth as they are outside of it. These drow walk the streets openly and worship the goddess Eilistraee; the Dark Maiden, Lady of Dance.

In their past before the Change, Eilistraee had saved many of the Drow from Lloth. The saved became surface dwellers and were as abundant there as any other elven species, even becoming more prominent then the rest because of their mixture with other races. This was before the Change but explains why the city of Krexarn is largely populated by Drow or those with Drow blood.

G?Brinek , being more of a Metropolis and is over twice the size of Krexarn, is located due south of Krexarn along the west side of the river as it shifts to flow southeast. It?s design and technology were mostly influenced by Asgardian and Olympian mythos and touched with huge strides into technology prior to the Change. They managed to salvage only a small part of the knowledge of their advancements since then. The ability to continue them has been mostly lost and has yet to be rediscovered and built again.

They have storage of some advanced phaser and photon weapons, a few replicating devices and one transporter preset that no one remembers how to change the destination but they have retained the knowledge to use it. It simply takes you to the other side of the city to another transporter pad that can receive but not transport away. This was probably the most advanced piece of work in G?Brinek

There are other minor technologies, but to build more and repair what they have has yet to be done. Most of the scholars and information were destroyed with the Great Library, which was outside of the city before the Change. Many people that were in the city were also killed during the change when the quakes began and the atmosphere was disrupted, prior to the protective shield. More then half of the population had perished and many of the buildings with it.

G?Brinek was the only city in their known region to have survived. It was as if the city was picked up by the hands of the gods and moved before the rest was consumed by lava, only to be moved through the cosmos and set down safely as other pieces of land were put together like a jigsaw puzzle made of soft clay, molded and melded to form the new lands. The barrier kept them from leaving the city until the lands had settled and the waters carved a river beside them, creating a fork beside the city, which split the river to the south and eventually it curved round to the west.

It was a few years later before the barrier disappeared and the exploration and rebuilding began. By then, much of the debris had been reorganized and repairs on the buildings were underway.

It didn?t take them long to explore outside of the city and begin crops in the lush rich soil, perfect for such things. They even expanded the city to the east side of the river and south across the fork. This not only helped them to expand their planting fields but to connect easier with other cities for trade. Now they have developed agriculture and trade as key in their society. They are quickly becoming a food supplier for many nearby cities.

Laitu is a new city developed after the Change. It is located along the east side of the river southeast of G?Brinek and also had a fork in the river beside it. One of the Forks continues southeast while the other fork drops to the south. It is made up of a plethora of influences, technology and social gathering. It is a place where some of the refugees from the Change gathered and began their life completely over from scratch. Here there is the study of various magics and deity based influences reaching to heights and concepts unexplored by most cultures.
The newest of these influences were discovered by a handful of people just after the change. Other cultures would associate it as the Force, but the people of Laitu have given it a different name. They call it the Spirit of the One. They believe it comes from the One who protected them during the Change and that the One left a part of their spirit to be with them. They believe the Spirit is in and a part of Everything, and that everything is linked to the One. Their achievements with the Spirit are small and insignificant as only a small handful of people even have that largely undeveloped talent, which most have focused to enhance themselves physically. For them, they are still developing their own talents with the One, or Force to others.

Other more mundane magical studies are much more prevalent in the city, as well as herbalism, potion brewing and medicines. The forest around them is abundant with plant, animal and insect life to support their development. Pantheons worshipped are as vast as the stars in the sky, though the One is worshipped by all. Technology is varied but far from the main focus of the inhabitants as some knew of technology prior to the Change, but couldn?t necessarily duplicate it as it was before.

Many of those originating this town felt the Change was a punishment for all the greed and self serving agendas that had spread through each of their lands. Each has their own stories, but each has this story of change in common? greed, war, tyranny until the lands shook apart and they were all scattered. Some were swallowed by the deforming land. Some were scooped up by an invisible hand of the gods, held safely while they watched what seemed like the rest of their world crushed against each other like the tsunami wave against the dry land. They each experienced their home lands washed away back into the sea of stars and lost to them forever. They were then dropped like a feather, drifting through the sky and gently placed in the forest near the river to start again.

A few were able to influence the others gathered after the change to a better way of life, and gathered them to work together to rebuild a home. These few were considered to be monks of one type or another and held great influence upon the people of the new city. They were entrusted to be in charge of the people and have had great influence in the city?s development ever since.

Now the city?s focus has become self development physically, spiritually and social enlightenment with one another. They are a communal community of peace. All forms of Arts are strongly developed here as well as spiritual and magical connectivity?s. There is a plethora of religions here from many unknown parts of Secak. Some easily recognized while others are unknown to most. There is only One that they all agree upon and it has become a focal point of loyalty to each other and the city as a whole.
