She had gotten the call only a few hours ago. Preparations had to be made before her departure. The jumpgates were closed for the moment and the only way around was through shuttle craft. Porthios opened the craft doors as she neared them.

"Welcome aboard, Lady Lyn." his smile was welcoming and warm.

"Good 't see ya Porthios." her smile was equally warm.

Yet as she turned inside the door, catching one last glance back to her children, her gaze shifted to that worried mother look. It was the first time she'd stepped away from them, or from the moon in a long time. Alex had kept her and them tightly under a wrap of protection ever since the incident with Sha'uri.

And now?

Now she was going to RhyDin.

"How long has it been since you've spoken to Master Ravensheart?" Porthios asked her as the doors closed.

She stepped further inside the shuttle and settled into her seat, mirroring the movements of her pilot. "Too long in me opinion. Nae sure how he'll recieve me but Alex is sure the Master will have some way of helping. That is... if he's nae too angry wit' us."

A sheepish grin formed.. No one had really spoken to the master since the whole incident. Mostly because everyone was so busy trying to get their lives back in order. And then Sha'uri got her memories back and escaped...

"It has been a while." he conceeded. "Door swings both ways, though."

A sad sigh escaped her.... even now as the shuttle sped through the Exodian system on its way to RhyDin... the long way to RhyDin. Alex had even forbidden Porth from channeling the Nexus. It would be a few hours before they reached that system. Whatever was going on in RhyDin would be long past done by the time she got there.

"What's the point?" she muttered as her gaze shifted over the console.

"Come again?" Porthios asked, momentarily shifting his gaze to take in her contemplative look.

"Oh nothin. Just.. I worry we'd be 't late fer Cadence."

"Perhaps. However, my briefing indicated her predicament was unpredictable and possibly crossing time lines. Which means, we still stand a good chance."

"An what of Sha'uri?"

He was silent a moment. "I think that matter is out of our hands. We should not worry ourselves but hope for the best."

A nod was all she could give, knowing his affiliation with Sha'uri. She'd given him life, a soul and a wife. Sha'uri had even given his wife life and a soul. Likewise, Sha'uri had been instrumental in Lyndra's own existence. These last several months had been hard on them all physically, spiritually and relationally. She could see that same struggle in him over the matter that was within herself. She could only assume a similar struggle tugged at the Headmaster, and perhaps even more so. It was a meeting she was not looking forward to, but she knew it had to be done. Alex wouldn't have called her in to do so otherwise.

"Best speed then, Porthios."

"Aye, Ma'am. First star to the right and on until morning..."

The hours were long, weighted by the emotional load this trip would bring. Lyndra kept herself busy by trying to research some of the information Alex had given her to study on the way. Her eyes grew heavy and bleary from all the reading and she shifted her gaze away from her task and settled her vision upon the stars ahead of them.

"How much longer, Porth?" she asked.

"Not too much more. About another hour and ten minutes. There's room in the back if you want to stretch out and take a nap, M'Lady." He offered. "It might help ease the task."

Lyndra knew he was right. Neither of them had slept much in the last 24 hours. The chaos of Sha'uri's memory being ignited came to a full repercussive circle and with it the realization that Cadence was alive and in trouble. The only consolation was that Sha'uri was out of their hands. For her this whole affair was just a razor sharp barbed dagger twisting in her head type of headache that had dulled down to an aching slow throb.

She rubbed her eyes trying to quell the pain further as it ran from between her eyes straight through to the back of her head. Her long slender digits flexed gently extending her fingernails as they smoothly moved through her silver hair and scratched over her scalp stimulating the endorphins to do their work.

A sad smile painfully tugged the corners of the mouth. The irony of herself able to house the essence of a goddess and yet subjected to something as simple as a headache brought on by emotional stress.. and the need of a bed. It all seemed ridiculous to her. Yet there she was. "I can't... sleepin now'd just make it worse. An then I'd be cranky."

"In that case, might I suggest our finest replicated coffee and a few pain pills from the med kit." Porthios grinned and pointed a thumb over his shoulder to the general direction.

"Thanks Porth." Her sad smile gently eased as she got up and headed for the back. A few steps had her by both the replicator and the medkit. If she were going to take a pill, better done with cold then hot. She liked the cold brew better anyway. Her order was quickly spoken, "Iced coffee heavy cream flavored with caramel and lots of sugar."

A few moments later, after she swallowed the two bitter little pills and half of her coffee, she paused to look in the mirror next to the medkit. Again her fingers ran through her silver hair, hazel green hues locked with herself in the mirror. She felt inadequate and unsure in that moment.

Yet something sparked in her eyes, faintly and oh so briefly that shimmer of blue glowed from their depths and with it was warmth she had not realized she'd missed ... It was enough to let her know she was not alone. Still, for the first time she wondered if she had ever been alone all along.

The glow quickly faded and she returned to her seat with her iced coffee.

His brown hues watched her as she sat down with coffee in hand. A grin formed and that longing gaze bore squarely on her.

"What... no coffee for the pilot?"

Melt....
Beg, beg, begging...
Melt, melt, melting some more...
She suddenly found herself weighted down and melted by guilt triggered by that sad, pleading, begging brown puppy dog gaze Porth was so well practiced at giving. But guilt quickly formed the admiration in her eyes and the sheepish grin.

Sigh.

"Hot or cold?" she softly sang as she secured her drink in the holder and got up to go get him a cup.

"Hot of course!" he grinned to her with that *I'm not a sissy* grin.

"So tell me about your children. How are things on the Moon?" he asked.
