It was with luck that Johnny and Sianna did not live so far from the theatre that it was worth a healthy walk. Given time between meetings for the Nutcracker and her performance tonight, it was a perfect opportunity to visit her cousin. She was rather enjoying their more regular time together. And with a favor in mind, she brought along six sandwiches in hopes of softening him up for her side.

She went to the store front first, peeking her head in a window to see if Johnny was inside.

Johnny was, whistling off-key to himself while he set out a new tray of jewelry in one of the display cases. He was dressed casually in a dark t-shirt and jeans, not at all presenting the image of a store-owner. Then again, considering the amount of success the business had enjoyed, it was entirely possible that his casual nature and general good humor had something to do with it. The regular presence of his family had just increased that good humor.

Pleased that she had guessed correctly, Katie waltzed inside as if she completely belonged there. "G'day Johnny!" She flashed him the usual Smith smile, "Jist had some time bafore th' show an' I though' I'd share some food wit' ya." It was a good way to start the favor asking, lifting up the bag of promising looking sandwiches. "How's th' day goin'?"

"Ain' goin' ta turn down food an' ya know it. Doin' good, though - one's Jul's landscapes sol' earlier, an' a lady came in ta order somethin' fancy fer a presen' fer her daughter, now yer here - good day. Wha' brin's ya roun' half across th' city ta feed me?" He grinned broadly back at her and waved to one of the stools placed here and there around the shop. "Grab yerself a sea', yeah?"

She pulled up a stool, placing the large bag of food on the counter unceremoniously before sitting down. "Wha', kin't I jist come an' say hey?" She produced an innocent smile, reaching in to randomly grab a sandwich. "I haven' had a chance ta talk ta ya since th' Ball. Did'cha hav' fun?"

"No' when ya brough' food with ya. Bu' yeah, I had fun all aroun'. Wha' abou' ya - saw ya an' Locke dancin' t'gether - ya looked real good ou' there t'gether." He helped himself to a sandwich as well, pulling back one of the pieces of bread to look at its contents. As if that would make any difference as to whether or not he would eat it - he shrugged and took a large bite.

"Jo, ya tear me ta th' core." This about bringing the food, though there was an undeniable grin on her face. "O' course ya did, nearly bumpin' 'n ta us. On purpose." Her eyes narrowed for a moment, before her features relaxed. "Yeah, I had a'real good time. An' uh, kinda go' mahself 'nta this bet wit' Locke.." it was mentioned in a complete nonchalant manner, "kinda need yer help wit' it."

"Should'a knocked inta ya on acciden', then? Wan'ed ta see how y'all were likin' th' party, tha's all." The innocent look on his face was spoiled entirely by a laugh. "An' wha' kinda be' could y'all have on tha' ya nee' ta ge' me dragged inta th' matter, huh?"

"I taugh' ya ta dance too well ta be runnin' inta people 'n acciden'." Smirking, she took another bite of her sandwich, reaching into the bag to produce two water bottles. "Well, 'm only draggin' ya inta it 'cause Locke an' I agreed tha' ya'd be th' bes', unbiased judge." She handed him a water bottle and opened her own, "Ya see, he's go' it 'n his min' tha' he kin pull off our accen' 'n a week, an' I called his bluff. So, I need ya ta kinda.. decide if he wins er no'. An'," another Smith smile, "ya kin't lemme lose."

One blonde eyebrow rose while he finished chewing the bite he was in the middle of and swallowed. "Katie-kat, yer askin' me ta chea' fer ya. Wha's th' stakes?"

"If he wins, I gotta to ta this sushi place in.. wai'.." she knew she was going to get the name wrong. "Spaceport? Space End? Somethin' like tha'. An' if I win, he's gotta go ta this Jazz Cafe tha' I go wit' th' ballet group 'n stuff. Both involves food." She gave him a pleading look, "Bu' Jo, I keep tellin' him he's gonna lose. Even, "she snickered and laughed, "even sen' 'im this flyer wit' the place 'n it and told 'im when we're goin'"

Both brows lifted at that, and then he started to laugh, a baritone rumble in the nearly empty shop. "Ya know, Katie-kat, ya go' this habi' of gettin' yerself in over yer head an' wantin' me ta fish ya ou'. Hope ya like sushi." That's all he says as he reaches for the next sandwich, grinning fit to kill.

Her eyes narrowed again at his laughter, though her lips twitched from wanting to smile along with him. She nibbled on her sandwich instead. "Jo, tha's wha' yer here fer." She sent him a pleading look, "Wha' kinda big cousin would'cha be, othawise? I still need ya ta be th' judge."

"Oh, I'll judge fer ya all righ'. Better b'lieve tha' I'll judge." He laughed again and then grinned at his cousin. "When's th' day o' judgement?"

"'posed ta be Sunday, bu' wheneva we all go' th' free time works jist th' same." She was looking at him with scrutiny, "Whay ya gotta be like tha', Jo?" She huffed dramatically, finishing her sandwich, "Kin't ya jist do me this li'l 'ole favor?"

Johnny just took another bite of his sandwich, grin still in place. "Well, if ya kin't lemme win, a' leas' be fair." In an obvious pout that her plan had only half succeed, she reached in for another sandwich just so that he couldn't have it.
